The events take place in the near future and follow the lives of hybrid drones (the children of the main characters). Following the events of Murder Drones, Copper-9 has become a thriving planet, with vegetation and even a year cycle like Earth. The Disassembly Drones helped the Workers relocate all the drones living on the world to the surface and restore the planet. But is everything really that simple?
A drifting station orbits a dead star, its corridors humming with memories that don’t belong to the living. Aren arrives in silence; Cael arrives in chains. Both carry emotions the station was built to erase. But when their paths cross, the lights flicker, the metal trembles, and something ancient stirs—watching, waiting, echoing their names as if it has been expecting them all along.
Alex and Morgan get a chance to start their new lives away from it all, on the orbit of the Red Planet. But their past still lingers and harbours many dark secrets.
Astrodude said nothing. He didn’t want to do anything risky, and floating near Luna’s orbit — especially with the risk of falling — was out of the question. Sure, he was curious about how these cosmic bodies “embraced” each other, but testing it firsthand? Absolutely not.
Astrodude looked at him nervously, waiting. When it became clear that no further explanation was coming, the Moon huffed impatiently and blurted out:
“Want to play cards with us?”
- Hatred: Sunshine, come here...
- 007n7: W1ll d0!
The android obediently approached Hatred with a semblance of a smile on his face. He was ready to carry out any task, even if it contradicted his programming.
Hatred roughly grabbed the mechanism by the cheeks and hissed in his ear:
- Hatred: There's a louse on the ship... Can you help me get rid of it?
007n7 shuddered and stared at Hatred with his optical sensors dilated in horror.
- 007n7: B-but h3 1s my cr34t0r...
It only takes flying a few parsecs in an unknown direction for the nature of corrective work to start differing from what we're used to. In a world ravaged by heat and destruction, two people are trying to survive amid the ruins of civilization. The system is broken, and the old ship they’re managing to escape the wasteland on turns into a deadly trap. Is it possible to find salvation without risking one's life?
There is no evidence of any harmful effects the Coral can have on a human being, therefore its increase in volume as of late shouldn't be of any concern to the Psychotronics or station crew.
Yours sincerely,
