Reworking to improve flow and balance the story

I wrote a story with heavy world-building and a lot of lore to fill in. The statistics of reader interaction showed me I needed to spread it out, and the comments of a peer, who saw something long before the analysis. Anyone who had stopped by and did an early read, please revisit and let me know if the change works.

Sat down on this new format with my world in my mind, and the words flowed out. 20,000+ in 1 day. Need to go back and work on the flow, breaking up some of the areas to allow the reader time to digest (a great piece of feedback from someone here). The story keeps unfolding in my mind like an epic movie. How do you take what you imagine and find the correct words to convey it? Separate scenes are unfolding, and I think I'm switching between them effectively without losing the reader. Not much confidence in that thought. New to site and new to novel writing

Morning all, I have always been a talker and storyteller, and after my husband's surgery, I took up writing to support his recovery. He suffered aphasia, and we needed therapy to improve his word recall. So the worst speller in history started writing down her thoughts. I entered a short story writing contest last month, and to my surprise, my style was well-received. Didn't win, but the stories have just kept coming. I found this site by accident, a link to read another writer's story. So here I am writing the great Canadian novel.
