Since the day Odasaku died, Dazai hasn't shed a tear. He screamed, tore his hair, there was a lump in his throat that prevented him from breathing, and his eyes hurt from tears that wanted to pour out, but Dazai couldn't cry. He seemed to have broken down, unable to express all the pain that he experienced, and therefore it remained inside, painfully killing.
