Corpse continent series book two: Rise of the Arcane kingdom

After the arrival of all their allies their search and rescue operation had drastically increased. Feeling the ground shake and when they turned to direction of the land of standing titan they feared the worst had happened the first to arrive was the Antler who offered additional support in term of medical aid, the next to arrive were the Drakkia who offered aid in the form of extra hands to help find and save survivors of the shapeless explosive farewell When they first set sights on the destruction of the human cities they were horrified and without waiting to be asked they offered help many Antlers got to work along side Hela's elementals in giving medical attention to the people pulled from the rubble those who survived the blast and with each new patient came a new kind of injury and the person suffering from these injuries would often beg for death these ones were the first to receive a sedative to help handle the pain they were in When the Drakkia made their appearance several dragons, drakkia and scale joined in the search efforts rooting through the rubble looking the people trapped under it all with each person they rescue they heard different variation of "Help me." but whenever a dragon or drakkia would fly over head they would be call downed by scale born or a human they secretly hope to themselves "Please don't be another child's dead body." Sometimes they got their wish and sometimes they didn't Every time rescue officers returned with a new batch of survivors the Antlers and elementals would brace themselves for what kind of damaged arrival their about to deal with, the amount of injured began to become far to much for them to handle but thankfully with addition of the Vulcan, Anansi and Chiron their capacity to handle the increased traffic which is always welcome With the additional help they moved from one ruined city to another until finally all people from Rahara, Valaheim and Allura were gathered tended too and brought to one spot and after doing a head count Dragon didn't have nerve to say what he discovered and Hela had to reassure him saying Hela: Say it don't say it it won't make it any less true Dragon after a deep sigh: The number of people that populated the land of the standing titan was unknown but everyone could agree the number was north of a several billion but after my recent head count I discovered that that number has drop to just below ten million Hela was taken aback if that is the number of survivors then those who didn't those that were killed by that shapeless monster out numbered those it didn't which Hela deeply didn't want to know but know she did and she had to move forward both her Dragon had too together As for the people those the explosions failed to kill at least had suffered many kinds of injuries you would expect from surviving such an attack damaged ears and eyes, ruptured organs and even missing limbs as for those suffering the latter Hecate came up with a solution to help them prosthetic replacements with her mother and siblings help she managed to create new kinds of tattoos that grant control of the prosthetics they had created After spreading their prosthetic limbs throughout the survivors they returned the ability to walk to those who lost it return the ability to work to those no longer able to. Parents were able to dance with children and vice versa again for once after all the chaos people were beginning to smile and laugh again not everyone but a few people at least were starting to find joy again A part of those who finding joy again were Dragon and his family Hela had discovered a passion for cooking and preparing meals a passion she shared three of their children Magnus, Hecate and Atlas who created a kitchen where they can feed the people who were suffering from a empty stomach as for Dragon and the others they were working on making sure everyone had a roof over their heads Dragon and Orion lead a group of Vulcan into the construction of new houses while Dominique helped her little sister in filling each house with clothes and other such necessities While her sister was filling the closets of a house Dominique was approached by some drunk and upset individuals saying "You think this will undo everything that has happened little girl." Dominique looked at them and saw they were upset and thought carefully on what she needed to say "No I think this will make easier for the people to built something new. I understand your anger but I suggest you focus it on building something new for your self." This silence the group but as they left one of them turn back and said "Moving on is not an easy thing to do especially after everything that happened." Dominique knew he was right and when Leah came out the two of them headed off to the next house while Dragon and Orion were watching from a distance looking at Dominique with pride in their eyes When everyone reunited the entire family sat down and ate like a family Dragon whispered to Hela what Dominique did today and she was proud and as they talked a small argument broke about what they are going to name their new city "Arcadia, New arcane city." Everyone threw out names left and right and while everyone was talking Atlas raised his hand offering a suggestion "Astraea." He said the name was unique and easy to remember a new name for a new kingdom they thought about for a moment and agreed the name was suitable The next day an announcement was made the new capital city of the Arcane kingdom has just received it's name the city of Astraea that is it's name and needless to say it was received warmly
