Chapter 17 At last

After the creation of arcane crystal glass they now had the ability to see all forms of energy the kind that emits from runes and from their magic tattoos they can even see the energy that natural runs through the living body it's body heat and even the nervous system Hela and Hecate made glasses from this crystal and put them on the eyes of every officer, huntsmen and elemental and they began to resume their search for the shapeless
After sending their forces out on their search Dragon tried on the seeker glasses marvelling at sights of the living energy of the people around him but he froze when his gaze turned to one of the servants looked like it was made of pure energy when he looked at them through his glasses Dragon remained calm and simply approached the servant with his sons and daughter watching from a distance and asked them
Dragon: Hello there care remind me what's your name
Servant: Why do need know my name my king?
Dragon: I'm done playing games Miranda always calls king not my king
Shapeless realizing they were caught: Well you could've played along a little
Dragon not wanting to entertain this creature any further struck first the shapeless fought back but was blindsided by Dragon sons who came to their fathers side fighting the monster up close and personal while Dominique shot at it from a distance being attacked from all sides the shapeless tried to escape by turning into a smoke but wind magic exist so it was instantly captured but it didn't stop fighting it turned into everything it could think of to try and win this fight emphasis on try but the combined magical prowess of Dragon and his children was more then enough
Hela coming out to see what all the commotion only to find her husband and children in active combat with the shapeless and deciding to join in she yelled out "Keep in one spot!" before calling her daughters Dominique and Hecate to enlist their help in the creation of a cage while Dragon and the boys were keeping it busy with the shapeless cornered in one spot while the girls surrounded it and together they formed a sphere out of glass and as it formed around the shapeless tried one last escape attempt
Orion seeing what it was about to turn into he had his brother Magnus launched him into the air and in the form of a thunderbird the shapeless took to the sky only to find Orion who with magic gathered the clouds and with the power of mother of all lightning bolts came down on his enemy sending them crashing hard to the ground and this time when they imprisoned it they put it inside a metallic cage where they were restrained and finally
Dragon and Hela wanted to kill it there and now but their children had to remind they still didn't know what it did with it's runes so before it's death they would interrogate it demanding it tell them everything they did with the rune fusion device they took but it just smiled at them from it's cage made of lightning saying absolutely nothing this scared and frustrated everyone present since the shapeless wasn't planning on talking they decided to kill it and search for whatever they built
But just before the killing blow could be brought down on the shapeless the building was struck with a violent quake and when they looked to the horizon the saw what they could only describe is an explosion two of which in a different directions the directions of Valaheim and Rahara and immediately after Dragon permanently put an end to the shapeless nightmare another explosion hit this time in Allura too very close to his family home a massive shock wave hit them all
With a loud ringing in his ear and blurring vision Dragon tried to find his footing through the rubble while also calling out the names of his wife and children "Hela, Hecate." He shouts as he finds dead bodies belonging to some of their servants "Orion, Magnus, Dominique." A figure appeared out of the corner of his eye it was Leah and behind her Atlas "Dad, dad." He hears them call out when his hearing finally returns he grabs his daughters shoulders "Where's your mother and your siblings?" He asked Leah who turned her eyes to look behind him and when he turned around he saw his wife holding both their daughters and Orion carrying his unconscious brother
When they finally regained their bearings their attention was turned to the destruction of their homeland and helping those who survived it Dragon gathered his officers to begin search and rescue Hela ordered her elementals to offer medical aid and support to the injured and traumatized civilians that are found but when they began in Allura they found more dead bodies than survivors
Dragon, Hela and their entire family had access to most powerful of magics being the reasons it exist in the first place it's how they managed to survive the blast at such close range but unfortunately many of their servants and officers wouldn't receive it in time when the explosion hit by the time the last survivor was found thousands of figures appeared on the horizon some had wings and were giant some had multiple arms others antlers
With the arrival of their allies their rescue efforts had increased and more people were being pulled from the rubble of their home city most dead others thankfully alive although you can say they wish not to be many elementals had their work cut out for them since almost they had to stop someone from taking their own life half the time they would fail and these such failures would weigh heavily and even though it dead the shapeless had done what it desired it caused great chaos and suffering the shapeless monster may be dead but there no chance of it being forgotten not after this
