Corpse continent series book two: Rise of the Arcane kingdom

Throughout the years the people of the Arcane kingdom mainly those who were small minded and ignorant came together and they created their own order of huntsmen to try and capture the shapeless some on their own others would try assist the officers in their hunt but they were as much help as they thought this had lead to many confrontations between the huntsmen and officers At first Dragon tried recruiting these huntsmen into his police respecting their tenacity and desire for justice but after some time those he recruited left and returned to former way doing things their reasoning to be apart of the kings police you have to follow a strict set of rules and these rules would at times stand in the way of their job and they believed the only way to catch this shapeless monster. Dragon has tried to make peace with the huntsmen but it never lasted the huntsmen would regularly approach a situation with reckless disregard clashing with polices strict protocol and training discipline For years the Arcane kingdom was split between those who faith in the king and the capabilities of his officers and those who would rather take matters into their hands and the shapeless they are hunting it was watching as what no ever knows no one ever will both parties agreed on very little but this was one of them the shapeless was laughing from wherever it is hiding One day the shapeless had made itself seen somewhere in Rahara's northern district a group of huntsmen made it their first and began searching the area forcing their into peoples homes some understood some did but still didn't like the fact of people just walking into their house without permission next arrive at the scene were a group of officers two senior veterans with rookie trainees tagging along these rookies were twins but it couldn't be easier to tell them apart for one twin had white hair and blue eyes and the other had black hair and crimson red eyes everyone knew who they were the twin princes Orion and Magnus but they were not here as princes they were here as officers inspecting a potential shapeless sighting When they arrived the huntsmen tried to turn them away but the older officers weren't having it they began their own search Orion and Magnus as part of their training negotiated with the home owners to let them and search the premises and thankfully it was easy for the young charismatic officers and with the peoples aid their searches went far smoother than the huntsmen but like the huntsmen they found no sign of anything connected to the shapeless so after their search they return to their headquarters to report When they arrived the first place they headed towards was the captains office to give their report of the shapeless sighting after they did Orion and Magnus headed for the training yard where their sister Dominique was in the middle of her training to become a officer herself they told her about what they just came back from and she listened carefully with great interest when the time came for their shift end the two of them with their sister headed home where their were met with their younger brother Atlas who wanted show a picture book he made When Orion took the book and asked "What's all this dust?" Atlas gestured for him to blow on it and when he did the dust surrounded him and took the shape of the picture he had opened to in the book and when he turned the page the dust reshaped to the picture on the page Orion ruffled Atlas's hair and told him "Incredible as usual little A." they laughed when they walked into their house the first person they met was their mother who asked "Did he show you the book?" Orion asked "What makes you think he wouldn't?" Hela smacked the back of his head and told them "Okay attitude you and your siblings get yourselves cleaned up and get ready for dinner." Dominique went to shower afterwards she noticed Leah wasn't ready instead she was working on a new dress she was using small hand crafted spiders to sow the threads in her new dress Dominique complimented her work and told her "Dinner almost ready get yourself washed up sweaty." Leah looked at her for a moment before the information finally registered "Oh. . . right. . .dinner I'll head to the shower now but there is something I want to show everyone. . .tomorrow." During dinner everyone noticed someone was missing Hecate Magnus went to get her and he found her in her room working with runes and Magnus had to remind her that dinner existed and she was missing it but when Hecate pulled his arm and showed him what she was working on she called it "Rune combinations." And she went on to explain Hecate: I been working on combining runes to create [Went on to show him fire runes, wind runes arranged in a circle] Now watch this [Activates the runes and the energy from them flowed like liquid and came together in the center and when the liquid dried it crack unveiling a new rune] Magnus: So what does it do. Wait nevermind you can answer that later now we need to go and have dinner because I can hear your stomach growling He was not wrong Magnus took Hecate who finally realized her hunger and followed him without question and when they sat down at the dinner table and once food was placed in front of her she devoured it like she hadn't eaten in hours which she hadn't for she was too distracted by her rune combination project to remember that she needed food While they were enjoying their meal unaware that a huntsmen had some how managed to corner the shapeless which is what he thought but in reality he was the one trapped now the shapeless knew more about the hidden mark and how to recreate it
