The corpse continent series book 1: The boy named Dragon

The Anansi a race of people born from the blood of the six armed titan who lived along side the Chiron but after the great flood caused by the leviathans creatures born from the blood of the sea titan and thanks to their origins granted them the power to move the very ocean they swim in and after the arrival of the magic wielding group called the Arcane gang who promised to help the Anansi by creating a new form of magic, water magic, but the only way to gain it was to collect blood from a leviathan. To get it required a plan from the only two people crazy enough to challenge the largest living creature on this world Dragon: Ok so me and Hela are going to fly over head in the arcane craft and jumped down into the water Aaron: You are aware that this is crazy right? Hela: Oh absolutely but it's not the first time we've faced a giant beast but this will be the first time I'll actually be helpful this time Dragon: What are talking about? You've been helpful before Hela: Not against the wyvern or the blizzard bear you practically killed them both on your own Dragon: Ok you can blizzard bear but there was no way I could've killed the wyvern on my own, no way at all Tiamat: This is no wyvern this something much bigger which is why I should come with you two Dragon and Hela refused her saying "We got this trust us." and she did but that didn't stop her from worrying and the two of them dressed for a swim entered the arcane craft and flied it over the water and before they jumped in they saw a leviathan swimming peacefully in the water like it was sleeping which made them confidant in their mission so they gave each other a kiss and they jumped they made not to stir up the water too much and swam closer to the beast and with a syringe they had on hand they took some of the water beast blood and left the water and got back to the craft by climbing a rope they hanging outside it Just as they were about to fly back the leviathan began to act up at first they it was because of them but really it was because of another leviathan mostly a challenger for it's territory and a fight between the two leviathans broke out it was so intense it almost knocked them out of the sky and into the water but the managed to stay airborne long enough to see a brief but intense battle two leviathans biting at each other and blasting one another with pressurized water strong enough to rip flesh from bone and considering they had to stab the syringe in softest spot on they could find on a leviathans hind that is a really terrifying But they couldn't stay to see how it ends they had to get back and when they got Hela immediately got to work on the leviathan they got while Dragon told everyone how they gained the blood and after about two days no one not even Dragon had seen Hela but where they expected to see her they found what can only be described as fish floating in a ball of water that was floating in mid air and when they found Hela they demanded an explanation which she gave When the wyvern was killed it's saliva was used to grant fire magic but it was in limited supply so to solve that problem Hela created flame trees and used their sap as a substitute and as for ice magic she create a potion that removes the heat from anything that it comes in contact with it and becomes one part of the ice magic tattoo ink and their lightning magic a crystal made from thunderbird feathers that can be used to make more crystal and now to grant them water magic they needed a near limitless supply of the key ingredient for this magic and since it's too risky to go collect blood from a leviathan Hela decided to create a new creature with power over water hence the 'bubble fish' as Hela referred to it which was fitting name After performing an experiment on some fish in a lake she created a fish that control water around it and use it to float through the air while submerged in a water bubble and after giving this power to a fish it immediately laid a cluster of eggs and when they hatch the first generation of bubble fish and after her explanation she extracted some of the bubble fish blood and turned it into ink and Dragon used it to gave himself and the other water magic After tattooing the last of them everyone began testing their new magic at first move the tides and then even stopped the rain from hitting the ground and while playing with water Jack and Eric Jack: The only thing I hate about these tattoos is that we have to constantly reapply them after overuse Eric: To be fair we have to reapply our tattoos the most because we like to play around the most Anansi elder walking up to them: Even so it still sound quite tedious, can I ask you something I know you all happy with new power but how will you use it to help us? Jack and Eric told him about runes how these can hold magic for future use and how right now as they speak Dragon and Hela are well at work on creating water runes to place along the sunken shore so they can repel the water and reveal what was washed away and the Anansi elder realized he came to the wrong people and was a little to impatient with his guest and now realized he just and see what is to come from their new friends and what they can do
