The corpse continent series book 1: The boy named Dragon

After their time with the Vulcans they headed for the plains of the Chiron the race that came to be from the blood of the four legged titan and it didn't take long before they came across a few Chiron unaware of how they would react to humans Dragon elected himself to approach this small group of Chiron alone when he did he made sure to approach them as calmly as he can and at first the Chiron were shocked to see a human but as they listen to him they realised he was looking for them After making his introductions Dragon told them about the rest of his friends and made some introduction the Chiron decided show them the way to their home and made sure to warn everyone about the giant dragon ,Tiamat, and the humans and told them they mean no harm once everyone saw humans travelling in a giant metal thing they called the Arcane craft along side them was a dragon a kind dragon who if you asked if you can ride on her back through the sky she would happily let you After breaking the ice Dragon and the others shared their stories of their past adventures of their homeland and their time with the Antlers and the Drakkia kingdom where Tiamat's from and even when they visited the Vulcan and as they continued to tell their story someone asked Chiron child: Why to travel so much? Dragon: Because we're curious about what the rest of the continent is like. Chiron child: Why? Hela: Because the continent is large and vast and filled with interesting creatures like you and your people, oh and also the Anansi speaking of which where can we find the Anansi people? Chiron crowd: [silence] Adult Chiron: Years ago there was a great flood that separated our people no Chiron has seen an Anansi in generations The story of the great flood began a long time ago Chiron's were hunting with their Anansi friends on their backs shooting the prey the Chiron's would chase down with their bows and arrows but one day along the coast line a group of Leviathans had made themselves at home near the shore but because of the leviathans massive size and ability to control the water they swim in the water levels rise drastically and that caused the great flood killing many Anansi's and Chiron's and forever splitting the two people After hearing this story Dragon and the other immediately asked "Which way to the coast?" After getting to the coastline they followed it till it lead them to an island after landing on the island they found remnants of a civilization but no sign of anyone alive so the decided to keep looking and after a while they finally found them the Anansi who seeing a giant flying reptile and flying metal beast panic and shot at them with their arrows but after they ran out off arrows and saw they didn't try anything they just watched as they dragon and metal beast landed on the ground and they watched as the metal beast opened up and a little four limbed creatures climbed out with their hands raised as a sign to say 'we mean no harm' Dragon, Hela, the arcane gang and Tiamat were surrounded by Anansi warriors hoping to avoid a fight and their hopes were realized when the Anansi elders made themselves known and told the young that these creatures were humans but they had never seen anything like the big one "I am a dragon and my name is Tiamat." Tiamat said which surprised the Anansi and after the shock wore off the elders sat down with the gang and asked them Anansi elder: Why are you here if you don't mind me asking? Dragon: We are explorers we came here well to explore to see what the other creatures of this continent are like Hela: And we can help you reconnect with the Chiron Anansi elder: You can? Aaron: Yeah it's gonna take a few trips but yeah we can transport you all in the arcane craft the metal beast that brought us here we can take you to the Chiron The elders smiled with joy but immediately after they frowned and explained that it has been generations since the flood and even though they as the oldest of their community remember their time with their Chiron friends but the younger generation only know of that time through stories passed down they had planted roots here you can't asked them permanently leave for a friendship with race don't really know themselves of course they would want to meet the Chiron but not at the expense of saying goodbye forever. A new plan was needed The arcane gang were sitting around discussing how they can reunite the Anansi and Chiron they were throwing out ideas like teaching the Anansi or Chiron how to built their own flying machines or build them a bridge they can walk on if they don't want to fly the elders told them that the reason they stay far away from the coastline due to the presence of leviathans the water has become unpredictable and dangerous so the bridge idea was out but the idea of teaching them how to create their own flying machines was not While everyone was discussing making Anansi flying machines Dragon was struck with an idea and Hela watching him instantly knew what it was and said "You plan on swimming towards those leviathans collect some of their blood and use it to give ourselves water magic." to that Dragon added "And with that also create a water rune to repel the water creating a massive bubble around the land restoring what was washed away." While the others were explaining what is magic realizing they didn't show it off this time Hela had only one thing to say to Dragon "I'm in." "I figured." he said as they strategized on how they are going to get close enough to a living leviathan
