Chapter 2: It's Not a Trap

"So, where are we now?" Roxy asked, looking at the large, several-story building, which, judging by the bright decorations on the walls and the huge cartoon clown at the entrance, was a large entertainment center for children. And it had been for quite some time. The general neglect of the nearby parking lot, along with the faded paint and broken glass in many places, made it clear that the place had long been abandoned and was now just another vacant ruin that no one else cared about. "Do I fucking know?" Loona said indifferently, casting a lazy glance at the building, surrounded on all sides by a high mesh fence. "What do you mean? Don't you know where we are?" The she-wolf said in surprise. "And you call yourself a professional?" "Yes. And no, I said I don't know what this place is. But I bet your little brat is somewhere around here now. The spell took us to where the victim's supposed to be. Which means we'll find him inside." "You should have just said so," Roxy said with a sniffle. "And you could have asked before you caused a panic," the hellhound remarked curtly. "By the way, if you want to talk to me, you don't have to use my mouth every time. You're so bad at it that you've already bitten my tongue twice!" "Yeah, I'm sorry. I can't get used to it. My old robot-body didn't have a tongue," said Roxy guiltily. "So if you have something to say to me, just think about it and I'll hear you," Loona added unhappily. "Okay, I'll try now, ahem," the she-wolf said one last time, and then she shifted to thinking, "One, two, three, check, check, can you hear me?" "Yeah, loud and clear, though you could have used something more original for your first thought. Seriously, your robot brain couldn't think of anything smarter than a karaoke bar employee's phrase?" Loona replied to her. "Do you know what they say there? You probably go there every weekend dressed up in a pretty pink dress to sing wonderful pop songs," Roxy teased her. "Fuck off and let's focus on business," growled the hound begrudgingly. "Or have you changed your mind about killing your precious Gregory yet?" "No, I want to more than ever. Especially now that he's so close." She cast an impatient glance at the building and then said: "Okay, let's go inside." "Sure. But first I'm going to change my face a little," Loona said, and with a wave of her hands, she took on a rather charming human form, with long hair and milky pale skin, which, to be honest, wasn't much different from what she really looked like, except that she was now human and had sneakers on her feet. And, of course, she was still dressed as Roxy. "Nice," the she-wolf said approvingly. "Prefer to work in disguise?" "Of course, I'm not those losers Millie and Moxxie, who are always prancing around the mortal world in their usual forms." "Ha, that's so dumb," Roxy backed her up. "Yes It is. Blitz and Moxxie got burned and caught by the human authorities once because of it," Loona said. "And then I had to sneak into their base and chop up fifty or so aggressive fuckers in black suits to save them." "Yeah, that's all very cool, and all, but in case you haven't forgotten, I'd like you to kill Gregory in your beast-like form," reminded the she-wolf. "Don't worry; I'll get back into it once we're inside. For now, we'd better keep a low profile. If anyone in hell finds out I'm flashing my furry ass in front of everyone, they will have my head mounted on the wall," the hellhound said, and, adjusting the backpack on her back, where she kept various murder weapons-axes, grenades, an acid-firing water pistol, she marched along the fence. Soon there was a gap ahead, near which stood a guard booth and a plastic barrier. "Okay, here's the first obstacle," Loona said in a whisper. "There might be people sitting there, and we'll have to get past them." "Fine, then let's duck down and sneak in on tiptoe," Roxy advised her. "No way. I've got nothing better to do than play spies here and bend my back." "But there's no other way. We don't want them to notice us," said the she-wolf. "On the contrary, that's exactly what I want," Loona stated smugly. "I already have a plan." "Really? What kind of plan is that?" Roxy asked. "It's simple, I'll go inside, say hello politely, then shake my tits a bit and they'll let us in quietly, drooling and cumming," explained the hellhound. "And if that doesn't work?" The she-wolf wondered. "Then I'll cut their head in half, and when we get back I'll write it off as collateral damage," Loona said angrily, pulling her axe sharply from her backpack and swinging it a couple of times. "But I'm sure it won't come to that. Because all human boys lose their minds when they see sexy chicks in front of them," the hellhound finished with a little irritation, clenching her fists. It was obvious that she didn't like seducing lusty guys and she only did it out of necessity. "Okay, let's try it your way," Roxy agreed. "But if it goes fucked up, I'll be sure to remind you that." "Yeah, yeah, you do that, I don't give a fuck," the hellhound said, and with her top slightly down, she headed toward the booth whose windows had lights on. "Hey, boys, how are you doing? I was passing by, and thought maybe you..." Loona said with a seductive smile, coming closer and standing at the window, but she was interrupted when she noticed that no one was inside. "I don't understand," she said with surprise as she opened the door and stepped inside the gatehouse, which looked a little dirty and neglected. "Where are they all?" "They're not here," Roxy said, surveying the room with her, then taking control of Loona's hand and running her finger across the dusty table (eliciting a disgruntled growl from the hellhound). "And it's been a long time. It's kind of strange." "Bullshit. They must have gone out to eat or drink. You know how unreliable these mortals are. Especially when they're guarding abandoned buildings," the hellhound remarked. "And the dust?" "They're just sloppy. You should see what Blitz's room looks like. His dust is so thick you could safely jump off the twentieth floor and not break anything." "Maybe you're right. But I still don't like it. I think it's..." "Wait, let me guess, you're about to say that the whole thing is highly suspicious and very much like one of those traps you often see in B movies," Loona put in with a chuckle. "Something along those lines. Don't you think so?" Roxy asked. "No. It's just that sometimes things work out a lot better than we plan, that's all. It's not a trap," the hound grinned as she left the gatehouse and headed across the empty parking lot toward the building. "All right, you're the pro here," the she-wolf told her. "Exactly. So stop shaking already. Let's better find this brat and fuck him up," Loona declared as she passed a few old cars and approached the large glass doors behind which you could see the half-empty lobby. "It's locked," the hellhound said with a couple of tugs on the handle, then tapped her knuckles on the glass. "And the door is too thick to try to break it." "Of course, you can't get in and out of buildings like that," Roxy said, remembering how she'd chased a nasty little boy in a place like this, and now she was going to kill him. "That's all right; we'll just look for another way. There's bound to be some sort of emergency door or loading dock or..." "A fire escape," Roxy said, taking control of her hand, pointing to the edge of the building. "We can easily get inside by it." "Hey, stop doing that already! I don't like you jerking my body around all the time!" Loona growled. "And you better do it fast, or we won't be done by dawn at this rate," the she-wolf teased her. "Okay, get to the point, let's jump on top of her and climb through the window." "Right, but I'll do it," said the hellhound. She went to the ladder and clumsily climbed a nearby garbage can and tried to jump from it to the bottom rung. But she didn't know the distance, and she missed and collapsed into a pile of boxes. "Ay, what the hell was that!" Roxy exclaimed with Loona's mouth as they hit the pavement painfully. "What was that feeling? Ouch, your whole body feels like it's on fire!" "Oh, shut up, it's called pain," said Loona, squirming. "Haven't you ever felt pain before?" "Never! And thank fucking God. Because I don't fucking like it," the she-wolf snorted. "Ugh, I didn't know you meat critters were so fragile." "Look, just shut the fuck up. I'm fucked, too. Because of you. You're the one who wanted me to go with you," the hellhound swore, getting to her feet and shaking off the trash. "Though it would have been easier to have Millie and her fatty husband does this job." "Yeah, but I didn't know you'd turn out to be such a klutz," Roxy said again, turning to her thoughts. "Wait, haven't you ever jumped before?" "Of course I have. But I don't usually do that, unless I need to throw myself at someone and rip their teeth. I'm not really into sports, though." "Yeah, I figured as much. Especially when I saw the pile of empty bottles on your desk," Roxy snorted. "Look, witty, if you think you can handle this case better, go ahead. Come on, show me what you can do," Loona said defiantly, relaxing to let her bodymate move her arms and legs. "All right, if you insist," Roxy grinned, and immediately jumped off the wall and grabbed the rung easily, effortlessly climbing up the fire escape until she was on the second-floor balcony. "Ta-da, that's all there is to it!" The she-wolf said cheerfully, striking an epic pose. "That's what lightning quick robot reflexes mean." "Yes, you are good, but don't hurt your head when you pull your fat nose up," said Loona with an unhappy twitch of her leg. "Anyway, I thought you didn't like being called a robot." "I don't like it when some pathetic little imp does, but I can call myself that as much as I want. Think of it as the same thing that black people do. And besides, my nose isn't fucking fat, which is more than you can say for your ass," the she-wolf said mockingly. "Oh, Blitz, I'll get you for this. I'll definitely kill you when we're done," Loona whispered softly, walking to the window, which, unfortunately, turned out to be intact. "Okay, now take your time, there must be some kind of alarm here, so you and I need to figure out how to get around it so that..." Roxy looked at him and said, about to come up with some cunning plan, but then Loona bounced back and kicked him in the face, smashing him to pieces. "Hey, what the fuck are you doing?" The she-wolf cursed. "I don't have time for this," the hellhound said, climbing through the hole that had opened up inside. "So we won't go in quietly, we won't sneak around, we won't circumvent the alarms, which haven't been here for years. We'll just go in, kill your boy, and get the hell out of here." "And if there's security?" Roxy asked. "Fuck the security," Loona cut off. "Yeah, whatever. Except you're forgetting one thing – Gregory has to be found first. And that's not going to be easy in a big building like this," Roxy remarked. "You're wrong, finding someone is nothing to me," Loona said with a chuckle, pulling the boy's photo out of her pocket, sniffing it a couple of times before she saw the faint glow of someone else's soul, like a glowing red shape somewhere in the back of the building. "Yes, I see him," she licked her eyes contentedly. "See? Where?" Roxy whirled her head around. "Ouch, don't spin! He's there, on the first floor. I can see his soul. So it's all right," said the hellhound, stopping her with her hands. "Okay, I'll take your word for it. In that case, let's get to him," the she-wolf said with impatience, wagging her lush Loona's tail, and the girls headed forward down the dark corridor, slowly approaching their prey. After passing a couple of empty offices, back rooms, and restrooms that no one had cleaned or ventilated in a long time, they emerged onto a balcony in a large hall. It was divided into several sections, and in them were all kinds of children's attractions, decorated with cheap decorations, like plastic castles or pirate ships, toy stores, food courts, and arcade games. And, not sure why, there's a space history museum with planets, satellites, and mock space shuttles suspended from the ceiling. "Funny. Why would a little psychopath like your Gregory be hiding in a place like this?" Peering at the fuzzy outlines of the big animatronic clowns and knights, Loona asked. "I don't know. Maybe he has some sort of thing about places like this. After all, it was in a similar center that he finished me off, so be careful," Roxy advised her. "Or else what? He'll come at me from behind and hit me with an axe?" Loona said sarcastically. "Or lure me into some clever trap?" "Perhaps. Trust me; this kid is not to be trifled with." "Oh, come on. He's just some little asshole you miraculously couldn't handle, and now you're getting all nervous for nothing. But I'm not like that. I'm a pro at this, and I can definitely do better than you," the hellhound chuckled, and, shaking her backpack, began walking along the railing of the second floor, looking for the stairs leading down. "You think? I think there's something wrong here," Roxy said uncertainly. "If this place is abandoned and Gregory's just hiding in it, where did the electricity come from? And the cameras? I counted five of them as we walked down the corridor, and they were all working," she turned Loona's head slightly toward another camera that was mounted on the wall, watching them incessantly. "Don't you find that suspicious?" "Nah, people like to make sure no homeless wander onto their property, so they hang cameras everywhere. But what's in it for us? I'm in disguise, and Men in Black wouldn't know they had a creature from hell on their doorstep. So don't be shaky. You better see how good I am at my job. Don't forget, I've infiltrated the mortal world before, and you're perfectly safe with me. I won't fall into any traps," Loona said presumptuously, walking quickly down the stairs and past several rusty rides that had a door behind them. A sign on it said it led to a back room. "Okay, this way." They walked this way through a dimly lit hallway, littered with bulky crates and old equipment, and stepped forward to a door into the security room. "Well, here he is," the hellhound whispered, clearly seeing the silhouette of his victim behind the door. "Great, then it's time for revenge," Roxy said excitedly. "Bloody, mad and sweet revenge." "Yeah, do you want me to do it? Or would you rather do it yourself?" Loona asked her. "Well, since you and I are in the same body, which I can safely move, I'd like to do everything myself," replied the she-wolf. "You don't mind, do you?" "Of course not," said yes the hellhound, removing her backpack and providing her companion with a full set of lethal tools. "Please, here's everything you might need. Have fun." "Thank you," Roxy smiled, groping around for something appropriate until she settled on the handle of a large spiked mace. "Oh, that's it! One blow, and his brains are on the wall!" "Good choice," approved Loona. "You're quite imaginative, aren't you?" "You bet, I've smashed a lot of piñatas in my life, so you could say it's professional," the she-wolf said playfully, stroking the spikes with her fingers, then reached out and opened the door to the security room, where there were many surveillance monitors, a staff table, and in the far corner there was a visible couch where Gregory was sleeping, snuggled under a blanket. Roxy carefully, trying not to make too much noise, began to creep up to him and, stopping a few steps away from the couch, grabbed her mace. "Wait! I'm going to be me now, so he'll think it's you," the hellhound told her mentally, taking on her natural appearance. "Right," said the she-wolf. "Listen, I'd like to thank you. I appreciate what you've done for me." "Come on, what the big deal, it's just my job," Loona shrugged embarrassedly. It had been a long time since she'd heard anyone thank her so sincerely. "No, it's not. You helped me punish the nasty brat who sent me to hell. That's a lot more than anyone has ever done for me," Roxy objected. "Well, you're welcome," Loona replied. "Maybe when this is all over we can go out and hang out together?" "Good idea, I wouldn't mind hanging out for a while," Roxy agreed. "But first, let me beat the crap out of this little twerp." And with those words, she growled loudly: "Wake up, Gregory! It's me, Roxanne Wolf! I've come for you!" But the boy on the couch didn't even move. "Get up, I said!" Roxy shoved him with her foot and repeated. "You thought you could get rid of me and live your life in peace, but no! I'm back, and now it's your time to answer for everything!" She reached out and jerked the blanket off him, and then, with a look of surprise, she backed away. There was no one on the couch. There was only a pile of pillows soiled in urine and filthy excrement. "What the hell?" Loona groaned. "That can't be! My sense of smell has never failed me before!" "And where is Gregory?" Roxy added. Suddenly the door behind them slammed shut and a dim red light illuminated the room. "What the fuck is that?" The hellhound growled. "I think we caught a trap," Roxy remarked ironically. "You know, the one you'd never go in." "Oh, shut up! This is no time for jokes, let's get out of here!" Loona cut it off and rushed to the door and tried to open it, but then behind them on all the screens appeared the same face of a pale white-haired girl who turned to them with a cheeky smile: "Well, well, look who's caught in my net. I never thought I'd see you again, Roxy." "What the hell?" The Loona cursed as she stared at the scum that had captured them. "Who are you?" "Vanessa," Roxy answered instead. "That bitch was in league with that maniac who hacked me. And she's just as dangerous as that little brat." "Don't you recognize me? It's me, Vanessa. From Freddy Fazbear's Pizzaplex. You helped me hunt for Gregory, remember?" Meanwhile, the girl asked a sly question. "Yeah, those were good times. I knew that sooner or later one of you would come after me and decide to remind me of the good old days or want to get even with my son." "Son? What, did she adopt that little vermin?" The she-wolf wondered. "Of course, I was expecting to see someone else. Someone more like a sinister rabbit, or a mothball-smelling bear, but certainly not you, Roxy," Vanessa continued. "And though I don't know how you got back from the other side, this time I'll make sure you never get out again." "Oh, yeah? How are you gonna do that? Lock me in here?" Loona said sassily. "You have no idea who you're messing with, sucker." "Yes, I do. I know what you're capable of, Roxy. And that's why I'm ready for anything," said Vanessa cheerfully. At that moment the acrid gas began to flow into the room. "Did you have to provoke her?" The she-wolf grumbled. "And since you've somehow miraculously found a living form, I won't have much trouble taking you out," the girl said, folding her arms in front of her. "Sweet dreams, Roxy." "What a bitch," Loona said faintly, and as soon as the gas reached her lungs, she collapsed on the floor and lost consciousness.
