Chapter 18

Settings
Honi looked questioningly at Estemo, sitting on the red chair. "People have lost their sense of harmony," he said, sipping green tea. "They have filled their heads with meaningless things and live only for themselves. They have destroyed the world... People will never be able to achieve true peace... Therefore, their entire species must be... purified..." "Are you ready to get rid of even yourself?" she asked hesitantly. He froze for a moment and put the cup down on the table. Sadness and doubt flashed in his eyes, like a shadow running across a sunlit field. But soon he came to his senses and said in a firm voice: "If the Great Desruption wants it, then yes!" "The Great Desruption... You keep saying it..." "The Great Desruption is the realization that we ourselves have become the cause of our suffering. We have lost touch with nature, with those simple joys that once filled our hearts. We have severed the threads that bind us to the world, and now we are only wandering in the darkness, hoping to find the light." Honi felt his words penetrate her consciousness, causing an internal struggle within her. "But is there no hope?" she asked, trying to keep her voice calm. "Can't we change ourselves and the world around us?" Estemo raised his hand, as if stopping her. "Hope is an illusion. It keeps us in the chains of fear and dependence. We must free ourselves from this illusion to see the truth. The Great Disruption offers liberation – purification through the destruction of the old world." Honi felt a chill down her spine. "And do you truly believe that this is the only way?" "The world will not change as long as we continue to live in a lie. People must understand their true nature and accept the consequences of their actions." She thought about his words, trying to find meaning in them. "But what will happen to those who are not ready to accept this purification? What will happen to those who still believe in love, friendship and hope?" Estemo looked at her with sadness. "They will suffer. But this suffering is part of the path. In the end, only through suffering can we come to a true understanding of ourselves and our place in this world." Honi felt a contradictory feeling arise in her chest — fear of the unknown and a desire to understand it deeper. "My whole life has led to this moment. If the world wants to live in harmony, it must merge with the Void. Tell me, are you ready to create chaos with me to bring the world to harmony? Create a Great Disruption?..." Estemo leaned closer to her, his voice became quieter and more intimate, as if he was sharing his deepest secret with her. Honi was silent. A storm of thoughts and emotions was flaring up inside her. He placed his hand under her chin, forcing her to meet his gaze. "Could you answer my question, beautiful Goddess? What is your decision?" "I don't want innocent people to suffer," she said with difficulty, as if each word was given to her with great effort. Estemo was a little surprised, his brows furrowed, and his gaze became detached. "Innocent... No one in this world is innocent. Everyone must be punished for their selfish actions and sins that led them to where they are now. So, what is your answer, beautiful?..." "I don't need it," she said quietly. Estemo looked at her intently, his eyes sparkling with bewilderment and anger. "You don't need the Great Disruption? You want human existence to continue? Then what is the point of you being my Goddess?!" "You made this all up and kidnapped me! I was never your Goddess!" her voice was so strong that even she was surprised. He jumped to his feet and waved his hand furiously, like an angry god. "How dare you say that! The Great Disruption chose you and gave you powers!" Estemo came so close to her that she felt his breath. "You must answer me now, otherwise I will have to show you everything in practice..." She looked at him in surprise and continued to remain silent, to which he got angry and threw black dust from his bag at her, which made Honi's head spin. Her thoughts began to scatter, her eyes dimmed, the world around her spun. Honidesu blinked several times. She saw Neil, Janet, Henry and Bonnie in front of her. Each of them radiated discontent, like clouds ready to rain reproaches on her. "You were created by mistake," Neil said furiously. "You need to be remade!" Janet continued indignantly: "Because of you, I lost my job!" Henry sighed, his voice full of disappointment: "I trusted you, and you lied to me. Why didn't you tell me you weren't Maria?" Bonnie, unable to contain her emotions, screamed: "Because of you, I get into all sorts of trouble!" "I wish you didn't exist!" they all said in unison. At that moment, they suddenly disappeared, leaving only Bonnie standing in front of Honidesu, still with an angry expression on her face. Honi tried to come closer, holding out her hand. "Bonnie, I'm sorry, I..." "Leave me alone!" her friend interrupted her sharply. "I don't want to see you!" "Wait, Bonnie!" Honidesu cried out, feeling anxiety rising inside her. She ran after her friend, but dark thoughts were spinning in her head: "What if I really am just causing trouble for everyone?" Honidesu tried to calm herself, but the fear and uncertainty continued to grow. She ran down the dark corridor, but soon realized that she was alone. Turning around, she returned to the same place where she started. A fit of panic overwhelmed her. She found herself in an endless loop, as if lost in a labyrinth of her own fears. Honidesu wandered aimlessly through the dark corridors, and the feeling of isolation squeezed her heart in an iron vice. Each step only deepened her confusion and despair. The further she moved forward, the more lost she became, and fear and guilt covered her head. "I shouldn't have existed... I should have been Maria... My desire to live is selfish? Why is all this trouble happening because of me?! Maybe I really should have stayed in the computer? That way no one would have gotten hurt..."
