Lance's secret.

The forest again, Clay's bloody body in front of him, the voices again. “You're the reason he suffers and dies.” “You're the one who's gonna kill the whole crew.” “They hate you here.” “No! No! Please stop!” Lance started running. “I want to protect Clay. I need him.” Richmond stops abruptly because he sees Moorington fighting the monsters, but he can't fend off all the attacks. One of the monsters takes his sword away from him, but the knight continues to defend himself. The white knight wanted to help but realized he couldn't move as if something was holding him down. “Clay!” He shouted as hard as he could. The Shaten turned around, and the monster took advantage of it. He impaled him with his sword. Blood slowly dripped around the sword. As soon as the object was removed from the knight's chest, he dropped his shield and fell dead to the ground. “No! Clay!”   Lance jumped up sharply, hitting Clay's forehead. “Clay? What are you doing in my room?” “Actually, it's my room." The knight rubbed his forehead. "We were watching a movie, and then you fell asleep. I didn't want to wake you up.” “What time is it?” “It's 5:30 in the evening.” “We should get up." The blond got out of bed and pulled himself up. "I hope Jestro didn't attack the city while we were asleep.”   They walked out to the game room where Macy was already sitting. “Oh, our rainbow knights are awake.” Macy looked across the couch. Lance was blushing profusely, and Clay only coughed. “Oh, did someone have a crush on Clay?” “You wanted to see us?” Moorington asked, changing the subject. “Yeah. I was wondering. You two used to be friends. What happened?” She turned on the TV, where the photo appeared. “We were about five or six years old at the time." The blue knight walked slowly over to the couch. "We'd been friends for months, and we thought we were best friends, but you just stopped coming to our place after a week." Clay turned to Lance. "I tried to get in touch with you, but it was in vain. Then the academy started. I saw you again, but not the way I remembered you. When I started to ask you what was wrong, you just avoided answering, and then we stopped communicating at all... until recently. Why don't you tell me what happened now? “A couple days after this photo was taken, my parents found out I was friends with you and said, and I quote: "Of course, it's unexpected that you're friends with that poor man from Dullib, justified only by the fact that he's the "son" of Merlok, the court wizard, but it would be worse if you were friends with someone less famous. As a rich man, you have to be mindful of social status. It starts here in Aurumville and spreads throughout Knighton. Remember that, Lance Richmond."” Everyone looked at Lance with regret “I may be bragging now, happily, but at five, when you stop hanging out with your best friend, it hits you hard.” Moorington pulls Richmond into a hug. The white knight doesn't immediately realize what happened, but then hugs his friend too. Macy just rats a picture of them and sends it to the others with the caption: it looks like the plan worked, but I don't know how long they'll stay friends. Moving on to the second part of the plan.
