Chapter 5, Never let God choose for you

Settings
As the sun was already set, a loud snore resonates in a nearby house. Inside, Alan was still sleeping, in a starfish position, his sheets going in every way with suspicious stains on the floor. He started to woke up and sit on his bed while moaning. He stays like that a moment, looking at nothing, the time for his mind to load and to reveal him his current state. Alan looks around, hoping the furniture will stop moving by themselves. He stops at the prophecy disk, staring at it like at an old enemy. The protective sheet fells during the night, revealing another prophecy : a chained Walker between two Red Nexus soldiers, like a prisoner. That's what Alan thinks it is because his head hurts too much to unblurry his vision. He waits a bit longer then proceed to get up and see the others. One foot. Two feet. Loose of balance. Face on the floor. — Maybe wait five more minutes... Lily was more than irritated. This talk makes nonsense. — For the hundredth time, what's difficult to understand?! The Walker in front of her seems confused. — Why you're not happy that our leader is a God ? — Because it's Alan!! We never know if he is a sociopath or just stupid ! — I understand now ! — Really? — Yes ! You're jealous of him ! — I'm not jealous! I just say it's not a comfortable situation for me ! Even more after I beat him with a broom when I knew... The last mumbled phrase shocks her interlocutor, very religious. — You're awful! I understand why he didn't invite you to the church today ! The Walker turn around, leaving a confused Lily. There will be something at the church today? Invited or not, she'll come and not alone ! The church was full, some Walkers even stay outside because of the small place. Religious songs resonate in the walls making this building almost peaceful. Once every prayer done, a small light begins to glow on the church platform. The light grows to be almost difficult to watch, then disappear. What's remains is a levitating Alan, eyes closed and arms apart, making all people here gasps. He opens his eyes, going a bit higher. — Walkers! It's me, your God... Whispers are heard in the room, going a bit louder as excitement grows. — I heard your prayers, I know every suffering... A person stands up and walks towards him — I will grant your wishes and protect you all... His eyes meet the stood person and a small glow wrap him as he floats towards it. — You first, what do you w— LILY ?!?! Alan shivers and freezes while Lily come out the broom from its hideout. — You ask everyone to be here for that ?! — Understand me... It's for cheering up everyone... — And you needed to do all of that ?! shouts Lily, making Alan grabbing his head, still levitating. — Can you stop screaming please...? My head rings like in a church... An awkward silence takes place. Alan looks around him before his face makes an awkward expression. — I might say something inappropriate... He avoids a first stroke from the broom by nothing. Lily continues to try hitting him as Alan fly higher, making him almost lose his manhood, everything under the gasps and screams from everyone. Once to high for her the God is relieved. He pulls out his tongue to her and fly away. But the wall gets in his way, hitting him at full speed. Alan ends up whinpping on the floor, a pack of ice on his face after having magically appearing it. Lily, on her side, is almost proud of her. But a random Walker decides something else. — You hurt our God ! You're the devil !! With an exaggerated slowness, Alan looks at the Walker with big eyes then at Lily before having a big smile. Lily got a shiver. — Don't. even. think about it... — Too late ~ Lily's feet start to smoke and her clothes to turn red. Her hand brakes the broom with easiness while a beast growl from the bottom of her throat gets louder. Alan sweats, realising what he has done while Lily stood. — ALAN WALKER !!!!!! Alan was sitting on a rock, his skin entirely red and his clothes smoking, looking at the floor. Lily was sitting on another rock, pouting. Both were soaked, water flowing on the floor. Yordan was with them, a garden hose in his hand, watching the Walker extinguish the fire from the church. He deeply sighs before looking at them. — Seriously?! I need to babysit both of you ?! Lily looks at him with a mix of sadness and worry — Make him bring me back to normal... Alan stares at her, irritated. — Apologies first. — For what ?! — Hurting me ! — I didn't touch you !! Alan hissed behind his teeth and jump to run away, taking the form of a cat. Lily and Yordan watch their friend's going away, both confused and worried. Away on the west side of the camp, a big futuristic building glowing in red dominates the ruins of a city. Inside, a soldier runs in the hallways, hurry to arrive at his destination, some papers in his hands. He runs through a door and immediately stops. In front of him, a big table with many people wearing suits watch him. The soldier walk to an old man on the other side and give him the papers. The man's serious face fades away as he read it, then looks at the soldier with a confused look. — Are you sure about that? The soldier nods. — I was here... I saw everything... The man looks at the paper again. — The Walkers' leader is a God... Whispers start from around the table with a weird mix of feelings. The old man, the leader, smiles and laughs from all his lungs then slams the papers on the table. — Tomorrow, we will have a new subject of study...
