God of Walkers

Finally, Alan was asleep. This time alone. He spent the rest of the day in his old house, which was near the sea. It was pretty cold inside, and it was almost ruining, but it was still a part of his story, wasn't it? Maybe has even become a part of his soul already. He came there only when he really needed staying alone with his thoughts for a while. It felt so comfortable there, even though this building was not really safe to be in. After a few minutes, spent next to the seashore, blown with cold salty aired winds, Alan noticed that sun has almost set and decided to take a nap outside next to the building, as far as the house's roof was about to ruin any moment. Alan has made a campfire for himself to feel warm and finally has fallen asleep just in several hours. But when he woke up, he didn't even understand what happened and where was he. He was in a room, that was pretty small, but he wouldn't call it completely uncomfortable. At least, he was on the bed at the moment, not on the floor or something. Everything looked familiar, but Alan has never seen this place before, he was sure about that. His head did hurt, seemingly even without a reason.. Suddenly he noticed a camera on the wall, filming him. It was pretty small, but noticeable. Alan stood up and tried to walk. He felt some kind of weird dizziness, but was pretty able to move. He walked to the door and tried pulling the door handle, but it turned out to be locked. Alan felt confused and looked around. White bed.. some kind of window with metal bars on it.. and this camera.. WAIT. Alan looked down and with utter horror noticed that he was dressed in white clothes.. with Red Nexus logo on it. — No, no, NO, NO! — he screamed, almost pulling his hair off with terror, — I CAN'T BE IN PRISON! H-HOW?? WHEN??! — Alan teared up and clenched his teeth, trying to stop himself with bursting with tears. His fear slowly turned into anger, and he turned back to the door, hysterically trying to open it, when suddenly he felt pain, coming from his right hand first, then it filled all his body. The moment it stopped, he jumped from the door and took a look at his hand, there was a burn, caused by electricity.. — They just conducted fucking 220 through this door handle??? — whispered Alan with panic, looking at the burn. Suddenly the door has opened and two soldiers synchronically came into the room, just if they weren't even humans, capturing Alan and not letting him move anymore. The moment they were done, a tall man in a white medical gown came into the room. He took a quick look at Alan and grinned. — How was your sleep? — asked the scientist — I hope well, because it will affect the test results, — he laughs. — What am I doing here? — asks Alan in pure despair. — You? Didn't you understand yet? You are now the prisoner of Red Nexus corporation. And not the usual one. Not every day we get an opportunity to run experiments on the God himself. — Experiments?? — Exactly. So, I hope, such powerful divine being would be smart enough not to mess up with us and just obey next time? Now, after the solar storm, electricity is pretty expensive, yk? — W-what are you going to do with me?? — Not your business. We do everything what is needed for the development. The scientist just smiled, turned and headed somewhere, the soldiers just followed him, taking Alan with them. — Since now you will live here. Alan looked around, but couldn't see anything more, than just a cell he was now locked in. — It was just made this night, especially for you. And remember, you're always watched — said the scientist and headed somewhere with those two soldiers. Alan sat on the floor and looked around one more time. Now he could notice at least 3 cameras. Negative emotions started filling him again, when suddenly a single thought made him smile with realization. — "Such powerful divine being".. They're right.. Suddenly all the images from the cameras went blurry and the security got worried. Alan didn't even move, when cameras were disabled. At least two soldiers were immediately sent there to figure out what is going on, but when they were there, they suddenly understood, that the cell was simply empty. — Oh, God.. — Exactly. One more proof they didn't lie to us.. We have to tell everyone, NOW! Alan was almost noiselessly walking in the unknown direction through the Red Nexus base hallways. For everyone now he was just a cat. Not a usual event there, but nothing to worry about anyway. Suddenly, he meets a soldier and tries to go back as fast, as it is possible, at least bc he doesn't want to be suspected, when hears this soldier speaking — Heyy, what are you doing here, buddy? Come here. The soldier walks to Alan and pets his head. Alan is confused, but accepts this gentle gesture with pleasure. — You are stray, right? Came here by the mistake? Poor kitty, must be hungry. So sorry I don't have anything for you right now.. Alan was surprised even more. Not every soldier would say something like that to a cat, when suddenly he got taken on this soldier's arms. — I'll help you find the exit, okay? I'm sure there is pretty much food outside, isn't there? Here you go. Such a pretty.. boy, it seems. — says the soldier petting and kissing Alan's head. It seems, he really loves cats.. If Alan was in his human form, he would go completely red, but now this silly guy was his best way to find the escapation. When they already were on the outside, the soldier gently put Alan on the ground, saying "I hope, we'll meet again, buddy". Alan looked back and was about to nod, but suddenly remembered that he had to play his role, so he just ran away home in order to finally change his clothes and make it seem like nothing happened.. The soldier, after releasing Alan, immediately went to the main wing to have a conversation with his colleagues on what just happened — I didn't know that we have cats around! I saw one 5min ago, he was so cute! — We don't have cats, they all are dead after the solar storm... And did you know about the emergency? The God cell is empty! He did escape somehow, unabling all the cameras.. And why are you asking? Have you seen any suspicious cats? The soldier only went pale, while realizing what he has just done — ...
