Chapter 5 Our journey continues

Settings
Titans ancient massive creatures that once called this world home but for a long time it was believed they were all dead up to the point where Ivory the bone tail titan was found by us and we are probably the first creatures alive that can say they spoke with a living titan I'm expecting a lot of people not to believe I spoke so I tried to convince Ivory to come back to his home land to prove that one still lives but they refused saying they didn't want to return to his families grave yard which I understood so one of my crew mates had an idea instead of bringing the titan to our people we bring our people to the titan after asking for Ivories permission half my crew mates decided to head back home and begin construction on a massive ship to transport the people of our home continent to meet the last living titan As for me and the rest of the crew we decided to continue on our voyage believing we haven't seen everything the world has to offer and so after building a second boat to allow us to sail on and so we did, for the first three days we've seen nothing no land and at a certain point we crossed into waters that held no fish or any form aquatic life once we realized that we decided to turn back and store up on food and supplies before heading deeper into these strange waters After what feels days we finally came across some land we were sceptical what kind island could exist in a lifeless sea so we explored with caution more so then we already did in the past as we ventured through the island we found no sign of life no sign that this island had ever been sustain life that was until one of my crew mates found structures old structures no one can say how old and upon further inspection we had discovered skeleton remains and from them we were able to deduce that the creatures were of a massive size and stature But nothing about their remains could tells how they all died these giants from the looks of their remains whatever killed them was not any external force but some not easily beaten a disease or maybe a virus of some kind that is still active considering that the surround sea is unable to maintain live so I ordered an investigation the smartest crew members I had with me began studying the dirt, the water and remains of the giants and found something when they took a look at each of us they discovered that whatever killed the giants is in our system but thankfully we had nothing to worry about for they also explained that our immune system was fighting against this virus and winning What caused the extinction of an entire species we won't know whatever reason we are immune to whatever caused it we won't know at least not presently
