Chapter 6 The storm

Thunder roared from above lighting flashed through the sky and the wind moved at such speeds that it set everyone flying and all of this was caused by the thunderbirds each that had a rider on their backs guiding them to cause all this destruction and as for the people got up in the wind they were screaming and panicking Dragon tried to use his wind magic to take control of himself and once he did his eyes searched the chaos looking for Hela and he found her using all his strength to get to her and when he did
Dragon with a firm grip on Hela: I got you, I got you
Hela calming down after getting grabbed by Dragon: I got an idea, we're going take away control of this storm from flying feathered disaster
Dragon: Take the lead
The two combined their efforts and with all their might they took control of the raging winds, intense pour of rain and lightning leaving the thunderbirds and their riders completely stunned and in their shock the riders were struck down Dragon and Hela and the thunderbirds were sent free and flew away and with the storm now under their control they parted the clouds and calm the winds and when they safely landed on the ground they quickly began franticly running around searching for any survivors
The storm did it's work many people died the rest were injured and as Dragon found them he brought the living but hurt to Hela as for the ones that weren't so lucky Dragon brought their bodies to a place for the living to identify them including themselves to their sorrow some of the bodies belonged to Magnus, Bella and Leah and during his search for more survivors he found one, the one he wished he didn't find alive Malcolm Ambereyes
Malcolm: Well look at you, you were very impressive you and your little lady very impressive indeed [Dragon had nothing to say to him] I understand you can't find the words for the man who thought of making that storm. How many of your friends died because of that storm [Dragon walks up to him with his fist clenched] If you want me to beg for my life I wouldn't hold your breath [Dragon stood over him] I lived my life as I wished I regret nothing
Dragon so enraged at that charges his arm with so much lightning that when he brought it down on Malcolm's head his entire skull pretty much exploded and the ground under him was cratered no longer caring about making it public and that night when he returned with more survivors and a few dead bodies he came back to Hela trying to calm a bunch of people who were suddenly in an uproar so he decided to over for her and listen to the none sensible yelling from this raging group screaming that these they the magic wielders who took command of a thunderbird storm should bring back their dead
Dragon took a deep breath and let these people speak and when they were done he told them "Much pain and suffering you had to endure in a short amount of time I do understand why you are all angry, sad and grieving but if the dead could be brought back do any of you believe we would hesitant to do so, my own brother and sisters died in that storm do you think I would waste a second in bringing them back, do you?" That silenced all of them and made them more inclined to listen more
After they all calm down Dragon organized and lead them in a massive funeral procession for everyone who died in the storm the number of graved they erected was something none of them wished to say out loud but should they be asked how graves are there all they'll say is "Too many" Afterwards Dragon and Hela lead the people back to Allura the only city that is both standing and does not bring up any bad memories
Back at Allura the people's main focus was rebuilding their lives maybe not as it was but something close to it and under the leadership of Dragon and Hela they got to work doing just that being the only surviving leadership of the three kingdoms Valaheim king and his heirs were killed, Rahara's leadership had changed hands a few times ending with Malcolm being executed by Dragon who sat down with Hela to talk about what to do next
Hela: So what are you planning Dragon? Blurt it out
Dragon: The king of Valaheim, the leader of Rahara and most likely the previous leadership of Allura are gone now and the closest thing to someone in charge is us so from my point of view we have two options
Hela: And they are?
Dragon: Either we placed replacements to take over leading each city or we lead them ourselves personally ensuring another Malcolm arises
Hela running her hands through her hair: Even if I picked the first option you would still take it upon yourself to take care of these people and that would end with you ruining yourself by neglecting your own well being to take care of everyone else and I refuse to stand by and watch so [deep sigh] Yeah lets rule together
That put a smile on Dragon face and the two announced to the people that they will use their magics to create a new kingdom born from the people of the other three and the magic of those who defended them. Dragon put himself in charge of bringing and keeping the people together while also making sure they don't try to rip each others throats and Hela placed herself in charge of making sure they all had a place to sleep, food to eat, clothes to wear and cure all's for any sickness, disease and injury together they would forge the Arcane kingdom
