When the boys and girls arrived at Auradon, Jane met them together with the Fairy Godmother. But she was too afraid of the children of villains, so she behaved introverted, shuddered at every rustle, and either answered the appeals to her with fright, or mumbled something to herself so that it was barely audible.
To Jane's relief, she hardly crossed paths with these guys at school and in class, so the girl tried to crush her fear at the root, but it was not so easy, because she was taught to always be kind and compassionate, but suddenly, by the decree of Prince Benjamin, the children of villains appeared in Auradon and something elusive changed in her soul. She was afraid of them, afraid of what they could bring to Auradon, but at the same time the girl envied them because they were completely free in their actions, although they were under the supervision of adults. But their parents allowed them everything, unlike the Fairy Godmother, who did not want to make her own daughter beautiful. But she just needed to fix minor defects in her appearance!
On the day when Jane needed to get her mother's signature so that she could be released for the coronation of Prince Ben, she came into the classroom almost with horror: the girl knew perfectly well WHO the Fairy Godmother was teaching the lesson now.
Jane entered the classroom, quickly ran past the children of the villains and approached her mother.
"Sign to be released for the coronation," she asked, handing her a piece of paper.
She didn't notice how interested Mal was looking after her.

After meeting Mal in the toilet and the spell cast on Jane, the Fairy Godmother's daughter changed in appearance: she became more beautiful. But this was not the only change: having become more beautiful in appearance, she began to do ugly things, for example, gossip about others, say nasty things.
But it didn't last long, because Mal lifted her spell as soon as such an unpleasant situation touched her. And Jane understood her, much later, when she realized her actions.

"You know that no one from the Island can touch Auradonians," Carlos shook his head.
This was probably the third time they had had this conversation. This time they were walking in the evening garden.
"But, Carlos, you can find a loophole in this, at least some," the girl frowned.
"Jane, I'm not sure this is going to work," Carlos pursed his lips.
"We can try," Jane said, gently touching the guy's arm.
He froze, shocked, and wanted to pull his hand away, but one second passed, two, three ... and nothing happened.
Carlos smiled, and so did Jane.

Jane was walking through the garden maze, talking to her mother about the upcoming Cotillion.
"Yeah, yeah, I got it," the girl mumbled.
"Jane, Jane Jane!" suddenly Carlos jumped out in front of her, who stopped her, "hello, hello."
"Will you go to the Cotillion with me?"
"Yes, of course, we all go in a dimensionless carriage at six. Listen, the pen caps are in the left drawer."
"No, I'm... I'm... with me," Carlos said, trying to get the girl's attention.
"Do you want me to pick you up? No, no, no, if you look at the bow of the boat, then on the left. Yes, yes, that's right, no, no, not on the right, on the left."
"Huh, it's not easy," the guy carefully took the phone out of her hands and drew her attention to himself. "Jane. Will you... match me... for the Cotillion? And if you don't hate me by the end of the dance, um... maybe you'll think about being more than friends? Come on?"
"As a girl with a boyfriend, we will hold hands instead of "high five", exchange messages and I will be able to say how cool you are, because, Carlos, you are very, very cool, and I am the happiest girl."
"Yes, I'm also the happiest girl..." Carlos barely understood what he said, "that is, the guy ... the happiest guy."
Jane laughed and hugged him.
"See you at the Cotillion," the girl waved to the guy, running away on business, of which she still had a whole mountain.

On the ship, Carlos supported her by the elbow as she descended the steps. Jane straightened her dress and smiled.
"Jane!" the Fairy Godmother exclaimed, noticing her daughter, "you've arrived, dear," she said, descending the steps, "everything looks wonderful, my soul, but we need to pour the punch into glasses before the sherbet melts."
"Mom," she touched her mother's shoulder with her hand, "I have a date," focusing on the last word, Jane said.
"Oh, a date, really?" she said, looking around.
Noticing Carlos, the Fairy Godmother touched his shoulder with her hand.
"Do you have a date too?"
"Yes," he looked at Jane, smiling.
"Really?" the woman was touched, smiling.
"Yes," the guy grinned.
"Mother…" Jane moved closer to take his hands in hers.
"Bibidi-bobidi… Oooh..." she was touched, looking at her happy daughter.
"Please," Carlos said.
They moved away and began to dance, completely immersed in each other. They didn't notice anything around them, only each other.
"You're the most amazing person I've ever met..." Jane whispered, timidly kissing the guy on the lips.
When he kissed her back, it seemed like the only right thing in the world.
