Chapter 2 Shocked Akatsuki and the Treasurer's Rescue

Settings
The silence in the Akatsuki lair was deafening. The members of the organization, previously paralyzed by shock, were slowly coming to their senses. "What... what was that, hmm?" Deidara was the first to break the silence, his voice unusually quiet. "Looks like Kakuzu has a fiancée," Sasori remarked dryly. "A fiancée?! She kidnapped him!" Hidan exclaimed indignantly, finally recovering from his stupor. "And what kind of creature is that?! She looked at us like we were nothing, like dirt under her feet!" Kisame, recovering from his surprise, broke into a wide, shark-like grin and laughed loudly: "Ha-ha-ha! Kakuzu-san, the vampire's fiancé! What a twist! Who would have thought!" Itachi finally spoke, his voice calm as always, but laced with worry and concern. "This isn't funny, Kisame. That vampire possesses immense power. And she took Kakuzu. I've heard of vampires. They're monsters among monsters in our world, far stronger than the Kage. Going against her would be a death sentence." "And I'm absolutely certain it wasn't an illusion," Itachi continued, his gaze thoughtful. "Her chakra was real. And her emotions, they were too sincere. Joy, passion, and a kind of obsession." "Obsession?" Konan asked, folding another paper figure. "What do you mean?" "She looked at Kakuzu as if he were her only treasure in this world," Itachi replied. "And it wasn't like a simple lust for power or wealth. It was something more... personal, inexplicable." Konan, folding her arms, said quietly, "I sensed that her chakra... it was ancient and very, very powerful. I've never encountered anything like it." Pain, who had been silent until then, raised his head, his Rinnegan glowing. "Kakuzu is Akatsuki's treasurer. Without him, our organization will collapse. We must bring him back at any cost." Silence fell. Everyone understood perfectly well that Pain was right. As greedy as Kakuzu was, he was indispensable and a core member of their organization. He managed finances, brokered deals, obtained information, and, most importantly, he was immortal, making him ideal for the most dangerous missions. Without his financial acumen and ability to survive, Akatsuki was truly at risk of collapsing. "But how are we going to get him back?" Deidara asked. "She was, like, incredibly powerful. And, apparently, completely insane." "And she hates us," Hidan added. "She called us inferior life forms. I would have gladly sacrificed her to Jashin, but she vanished like a ghost!" "We need to come up with a plan," Itachi said. "First, we need to find out where she took him. And who this vampire is. She's clearly very strong and powerful." Zetsu finally emerged from the ground, its white half whispering, "I can track her chakra. She left a trace. A very strong trace." "Excellent," Pain nodded. "Zetsu, you go first. Scout the area. The rest of you, get ready. We can't afford to lose Kakuzu." Frenetic activity erupted. For the first time in a long time, the Akatsuki set aside their differences and acted as a united team, driven not only by Pain's orders but also by the realization that their own well-being depended on the return of the stingy treasurer. But would they have the strength to do so?
