FPE Impetus AU: Grading

The students enter Miss Thavel's class and are given a standard assignment. Most of the class does well. Robby and Riley get average grades with Robby's being slightly lower. The bell rings. The day's finally over. For the students at least. *Right after the bell rings, Miss Sasha's phone rings. It's Miss Grace. She picks up. * Miss Sasha: Hello Miss Grace: Miss Sasha, I've come to a decision on what to do about Lilly. Come to my office and make sure to bring her. *Miss Sasha exits her room. * Miss Sasha: Lilly! *Lilly stops walking and looks back. * Lilly: Yes, Miss Sasha. Miss Sasha: Miss Grace wants to see you. Don't worry, you're not in trouble. *Miss Sasha and Lilly go over to Miss Grace's office. * *Miss Grace's door opens. * Miss Grace: Hello Miss Sasha- Oliver/K: Nah. It's me. Miss Grace: What do you want? Oliver/K: Engel and Bubble are making care packages for Abbie, Lana, and Claire's parents. I need you to give them the location. *Miss Grace's face, for the first time in years, shows what some might consider surprise. She knows that Oliver/Katie will simply threaten her with ∆lice so she doesn't refuse. * Miss Grace: I'll prepare the locations. Oliver/Katie ... Miss Grace brings up the home addresses of Lana, Abbie, and Claire's parents and writes it down on paper. After around a minute, Miss Sasha and Lilly enter the room. * Miss Grace: Hello Lilly. Miss Sasha. Please sit. *Both Lilly and Miss Sasha sit on the chairs. * Lilly! *Lilly looks up at Miss Grace, stressed. Miss Grace alters her tone to prevent an ... incident. * Miss Sasha told me that she was worried about you. You've been avoiding interacting with the other kids. Most worrying, according to Sasha, is that you've been hurt whenever you get to school. Lilly: I just trip when I walk down the stairs sometimes. Miss Sasha: How can you be falling down the stairs in the exact same positions? Lilly: I- I don't know. Miss Grace: Lilly. Should we ask you father - Lilly: NO. DON'T! Miss Sasha: Lilly ... Lilly: .... Miss Grace: Why not, Lilly? Lilly: I ... I ... I ... *Lilly can't muster the words to say. Tears start dripping from her eyes and she starts bawling. Miss Sasha exits the room to calm her down. * *Miss Grace calls Miss Sasha into her office. * Miss Sasha: So, I assume that we'll be paying Lilly's family a visit? Miss Grace: No. *Miss Sasha is taken aback by Miss Grace's response. Maybe she just ... misspoke. * Miss Sasha: I'm sorry. Can you repeat? Miss Grace: My answer is no. We're not visiting Lilly's family. Miss Sasha: Wh- why!!?? That whole "falling down the stairs" thing was a lie and you know it. He's obviously mistreating her. How can you just stand there when you kno- Miss Grace: Know that children are being hurt? I've been sitting on a mass grave of kids for years and I've never lifted a single finger to stop it. I've seen worse things happen to these people for worse reasons. This... This is nothing. *Miss Grace pinches her forehead. * Miss Grace: It isn't the MY problem. It isn't YOUR problem. Lilly hugs Miss Sasha's leg when she walks out of the door. * Miss Sasha: Lilly?  Lilly: Yes Miss Sasha? Miss Sasha: Why did react like that when Miss Grace mentioned your father? Lilly: ... Lilly: he'll hurt me. he - he said he'd kill me if i told anyone. Miss Sasha: oh. i - i didn't ... *Miss Sasha kneels down to be at Lilly's level. * Miss Sasha: Lilly. I - ... I promise to get you out  of this.  *Lilly heard. She's heard this before. Promises of the abuse ceasing. It never works. * Lilly: can i go home? Miss Sasha: ... . *Miss Sasha wants to say no. She wants Lilly to stay away from what's hurting her but ... she doesn't have anything. * Miss Sasha: y - yes. *Lilly exits the building, passing by one of the other students, and gets on the bus with the other kindergarteners. She sits at the back. The other kindergarteners. *   *A one-story home. No garage or backyard. Lilly exits the bus. Before she goes to the door, she mentally prepares herself to make sure she doesn't cry. Not in front of her father. Lilly moves to the front door and knocks on it. The door opens. A goat-like creature is standing there. Black horns. Wool covering his body. Lilly's dad; George. He's talking on the phone. * Lilly: h - hi dad. *George glares at Lilly with resentment. Lilly enters the house. The first room they go to is the living room. A couch is the only piece of furniture present. Lilly's mother, Miss Liliac, sits on the couch. Well ... she should. She's still working at the hospital. Instead, a note is all that's left behind. Lilly doesn't bother reading it. They never amount to anything positive. * *Lilly runs towards her room. Lilly's room looks awful. The bed lacks any form of sheets. The room is dirty and there are bugs crawling on the wall.  She lays down on her bed. *   * George hangs up the phone. *   George: LILLY! *George barges into Lilly's room. * George: *George pinches his nose. * I TOLD you not to get those teachers involved. I told you not to talk about your injuries. I keep on having to put up with you and your shitty behavior every single day. Lilly: WHAT,  I didn- *George punches Lilly across her face and lifts her up as she starts bleeding from her mouth due to losing one of her teeth. * George: I didn't say you could speak you little shit. *George throws Lilly to the ground and steps on her leg, slowly crushing it. * George: Don't let this happen again. Understand? Lilly: Yes dad. I-I promise.   *George leaves the room * "s-sasha still did it.    even after what i told her.   h   w why. "     *Within the Paper school, a phone hangs up. We see a person with long, tied up hair holding it. They have the biggest smile. *   Oliver/K: *heh*
