The corpse continent series book 1: The boy named Dragon

A group of scale born kids had just received their magic tattoos and had just began their magic training first under Magnus and Angel who taught them how use their new fire power after a single lesson they gained a decent skill with their power and even though some only wanted the fire power there were those who wanted to learn more and continued to learn under them When Angel, Bella, Astrid, Leah and Eric were teaching magic and Aaron, Magnus, Maya and Jack were teaching them how their Arcane craft works and telling them how they built it Hela was working on a wood carving when Dragon walked in and asked her Dragon: What are you even trying to carve again. [Sits next to her] Hela: An eagle you know I've been working on this since we visited the Antlers. Dragon: Oh yeah what are hoping to accomplish with this again? [He says as he wraps his hands around her and helps her carve her eagle] Hela: The wood we carving is special if you pour your focus into it it will grow and move like the animal we carve into [Shifts her sitting position to sit comfortably in Dragons lap] Dragon: Cool [Takes a good look at the wood carving] It looks good, what to try and bring it to life now? Hela: Yeah lets go After finishing their wood carved eagle they took it outside and as she held it in her hands the carving began to move like the animals it depicted and grow far larger than they expected and Hela got on the back of this wood carved eagle and tried to fly but she remained grounded for this living carving may look like a bird but it doesn't fly like one and disappointed Hela removed her magic from the carving turning it into a giant wooden eagle statue but Dragon soften the blow by telling her even we can't fly on the back of a giant eagle we can still ride on the back of other animals like a horses, wolves etc. that made Hela feel a little better about not being to fly on her own Afterwards Angel found the two of them and told them Jack did something stupid and when they found him he was on the ground breathing rapidly and his heart was beating like crazy and with wasting a second Dragon picked him up and took him Tiamat who took a look at him and said "They only thing that could do this is pure dragon root." Jack was not in the best shape to explain but Eric was and he told them that they ran out of things to do and were bored so they decided to play a game 'who is the most daring' and that lead to Eric daring Jack to eat pure dragon root Angela smacked him on the back of his head and turned to Tiamat and asked "What do we do to cure this?" She said gesturing to Jack and Tiamat told them "I don't know." They did not like that response and they tried every method they could think of first Dragon tried to help him burn off all that energy but Jack couldn't even and Hela decided to asked around to see if there's a way to help out Jack and she eventually found something called goodnight tea a drink that can put a dragon sleep almost instantly since every dragon eats dragon root for the energy it gives them but since they sleep this tea completely kills the effects of the root whenever they rest After getting Jack the goodnight tea he slept like baby and Hela asked Tiamat "So did the existence of goodnight tea just slip your mind?" Tiamat kind of embarrassed "Yeah kinda." After Jack woke up Dragon and Hela made a rule 'All dragon food is off limits forever.' and everyone without a question agreed and continued as usual After all that drama with Jack Hela showed everyone her new living carving magic trick and they all immediately began carving the animal they want as a pet and alot of them quickly realized they did not have the patience or talent for wood carving the only ones who seemed to be interested and patient enough were Angel and Astrid who seemed to enjoy the craft and they were making living carvings of horses, cat, dogs, bears and even lizards and even the rest of the Drakkia kingdom got into making living carvings some making some themselves but others asked craftsmen to make it for them and like Hela some were disappointed they couldn't fly One day a bored Dragon was playing with his magic and came up with an idea and began working on something new and for a while he practiced generating intense heat and cold as a new form of magic and used them to create wind magic by heating up the air and cooling it down at the same time creating extreme winds and after a few hours he managed to create a hurricane that managed to pick him up and even though he struggled he was flying and when he showed Hela her reaction "Dragon you are awesome." "I know." and he taught her and the others his wind magic and Hela following Dragons method created a special rune that uses both intense heat and cold to create strong winds and fused these runes with carved living eagle allowing it to fly The ability to fly through the air on the back of her giant wood carved eagle brought a massive smile on her face which seeing brought a smile to Dragons face and when Dragon would fly through the air using wind magic he training to fly more smoothly after some effort and a few none fetal crash landings he can now soar through the sky gracefully and he enjoyed ever second of it When he soared high above the clouds he saw the many titan corpses that made up their home the standing titan and Antler titan just north of Drakkia and when he looked south he saw a great flaming mountain and knew it to be the shared grave of the flaming titan and stone titan and wondered what kind of creatures lived there
