The corpse continent series book 1: The boy named Dragon

It's been a long time since Dragon and Hela last visited Valaheim and when they left it they were good terms with the king whom they met after killing a wyvern, a fire breathing reptile with wings, and a blizzard bear, a bear so big to make any human feel as small as a mouse, and in his home they created the magic they use today and even though they left to continue living in the way of the mothers and clansmen they left the kings home on good terms with him that receiving a dinner invitation from him proves Dragon and Hela were explaining how they know the king of Valaheim until they were interrupted and one of them asked "You two killed a wyvern the second most powerful creature in all of the three kingdoms right behind thunderbirds you two killed it?" and Dragon was like "Yeah where do you think we got the ingredients for our tattoo ink?" Aaron said "I thought you grew that fire tree and take it's sap." Hela told him "Yeah but that was to replace the wyvern saliva." She also noted "You know I just realized we never actually properly explained how we got the ingredients for our magic." and Dragon thought about for a moment and said "Yeah your right." After the shock wore off it was replace with fear of what they are going to wear to this royal dinner since the clothes they had were not enough for such a fancy affair but Dragon and Hela decided to help them out Dragon stayed behind to help pick clothes while Hela headed off to speak with the king and asked him if he can help her friends with their clothing crisis and he was waiting for them to asked When she returned she found Dragon standing to side while everyone else was having a panic attack which she ended by showing the dining attire given to her by king Orion and after a few hours each of them found the perfect clothes to wear for a dinner with the king and when they entered the royal dining hall and sat at the table and watch as the massive amount of food was being brought out of the kitchen and for a moment none of them knew where to start they had to follow Hela and Dragons lead since they ate here before They ate their fill and could barely move and the king asked if they wanted a guided tour of the Valaheim royal palace and suddenly everyone had the energy to get up from their chairs and follow the king as he shows them around his home the first thing he showed them was his collection of beast he hunted and killed including the wyvern and blizzard bear killed by Dragon and Hela and the two of them noticed that there two little statues made in their image placed on both the wyvern and blizzard bear corpse and the king explained "Since you don't live in Valaheim you don't have a spot to place to put your kills so the statues are let people know you who killed these beast." Continuing the tour they were a shown portraits of previous kings and queens and forge room where tools and weapons were made primarily from the ironwood trees, trees that died and their wood turned black and hardened like metal, and is the reason behind the Ironwood family name and when it's time to sleep each people got their own but they were all accustomed in sleeping together in a same space so that's what they did and when they woke up they saw a breakfast spread waiting for them Dragon got up and distributed the food among and as they ate Hela and Dragon thought back on their last visit here and realized their last stay was a little to short and when they finished their breakfast they set out to explore the rest of Valaheim and Angel asked "Why did you guys cut your last visit short?" and both of them thought about it for a moment and both of them gave the same answer "I don't know." After getting dressed they all set out to explore the rest of the kingdom and with a guide to show them around the first place they headed for Golden mane forest home of Golden mane family one of many noble families that call Valaheim home and they even met the head of the Goldmane family and easily deduced how they got their name once they saw their bright blonde hair and discovered their were other families who followed the same naming convention and like the Bloodmanes who they were going to see next The Blood grove home to the Bloodmane family it was as beautiful as Golden mane forest as was the home of the Silverwood family the Silver grove these three places had one thing in common all the trees grew alongside the houses and the houses all looked the same the only difference is what was placed in the windows but then they reached the home of Greywood family the Grey forest a place where every house was covered in paintings and the trees they were alive in more than one way they had ornaments and wind chimes and just walking in everyone came to the same decision this was the best Valaheim had to offer The Greywood family encouraged and took part in the graffiti of their home and on every street corner were painters painting portraits and in their homes sculptors worked statues etc. etc. and Dragon, Hela and all their their friends simply watched and enjoyed what they saw and some of them even decided to take part in the art creation choosing to serve as apprentices to several artist learning from them and admiring their works even creating a few pieces of art themselves
