The corpse continent series book 1: The boy named Dragon

Several years ago somewhere in Allura a group of police officers were about to storm the home base of a dangerous Allura city gang and to prepare for the raid the officers suited up with modern Allura lightning weaponry gauntlets that makes every punch feel like being struck by lightning which was to combat the lightning weapons belonging to this gang these weapons were spears connected to lightning storage packs they wear on their backs and during this raid many officers and gang members died one of these officers was Aaron jolt senior leaving his only son Aaron jolt junior orphaned and alone Present day Aaron spent years alone finally decided to go outside to replace some tools he needs to finish his air craft and when he did something got his attention a group of kids his age no gear just glowing tattoos that gave them the power to generate lightning and mustering his courage he approached them and they all quickly became friends and over the course of a few days they bonded over what each side had to share Dragon and Hela's magic Aaron's machines But they noticed he never talked about his family and so to help him open up they shared what they're families were like and that was enough to get him open up enough but Dragon sensed there was something was he was holding back but he didn't want pry so he decided to followed everyone else's lead and decided to share a bit of his family his mother, what she was like and how she died "How did you deal with it?" he asked after hearing that and Dragon seeing his reaction simply told him the truth "I got angry, I got revenge and then I cried and then I moved forward." That confession surprised Aaron and he asked "How?" and Dragon told him "Well firstly I wasn't alone I had Hela she had me and if you want you could have all of us." Gesturing to the rest of the arcane gang and Aaron finally decided to tell them the whole truth about him and his father and how he died and through sharing stories about his father and after a long time he decided to return to one place he never wanted revisit his fathers grave and just talked "Hey dad sorry it's been a while I think I've made some new friends and they plan on explore everything there is to explore and I might join them don't worry I'll return and tell everything I've seen till next time dad." After this moment Aaron joins the rest and they set out to leave Allura and head for Valaheim and Aaron asked "Are we walking or flying?" this question sparked an argument that lasted for hours with one side saying they don't want to spend days, weeks, months walking from one city to another and the other side saying that the journey was the best part and this only ended when Hela decided to join in "Alright everybody listen up!" The room fell silent as she continued "Travelling by the air would be faster and offer beautiful sights but flying so high above would deny us to what could be found on the ground potential ingredients for future forms of magic which is what we strive for. We don't migrate in hopes of reaching a destination there is no destination we wonder and travel to see everything there is see. That being said I'm certain we could find a purpose for his air craft. Aaron could you find a way to turn it into a ground based machine?" Aaron thought about for a moment and told them "With some help yeah I can easily turn it a vehicle that can both trad ground and soar through the air but that might take a few. . . weeks." Hela turned to the others and asked "You all alright with that?" And they were, so they began it took a couple weeks they had to cut up and reshape the craft to be able to fly and roll which was easier than Aaron expected especially after receiving his own magic tattoos and when it was ready Aaron dubbed it 'the Arcane craft' With the Arcane craft ready and fully functional they said goodbye to Allura and flew off, when they reach Allura's borders they went land mode and began heading for Valaheim Hela spent most of the drive working on the magic recipe still trying to figure out how to fix the temporary tattoo issue and during one of her experiments one of the fire magic ink variants had dried, harden and cracked creating something new what was basically a crystal that can generate flames Everyone was saying what we should call it one of the suggestions was runes which earned the winning vote and soon runes became apart of this gangs tool kit crystals that hold and store magic and another cool feature about these runes are the cracks that form. Hela to see if she was right placed fifteen bowls five bowls filled with the fire rune solution another five filled with ice magic rune solution and the last filled with the lightning rune solution and just like she expected five identical cracks formed on the fire ice and lightning runes proving her right each elemental runes gets there own unique cracks Over the course of several weeks Aaron had upgraded the Arcane crafts engine with lightning runes and increasing their speed and efficiency and when they finally arrived at Valaheim the nine of them were awe struck seeing a city so different from where they grow up, houses built within the forest along side the trees and the animals and as they were enjoying their time here another surprise was in store for them an official sent by the king to invite Dragon, Hela and their friends to his castle and to join him for dinner which they accepted without thinking much of it but the others were a little nervous about of an entire kingdom
