The corpse continent series book 1: The boy named Dragon

Dragon a little boy ten years old woke up just before and rushed to his mother to wake her up his mother a woman named Dominique who had a passion for tattoo art and both her arms and neck were covered in tattoos and ever since her son Dragon was six he asked for a tattoo and for four years he begged until finally a the night before his tenth birthday she final agreed to give him his first tattoo and after the sun fully rise she told her son to remove his shirt and lay down on his stomach so she can tattoo over his dragon shaped birthmark she named him after adding finer details making it look more like a dragon To help her son handle the pain she collected a basket worth of mushrooms and turned them into a soup that when she fed it to him he lost the ability to feel anything including pain and so she got to work on his tattoo making sure to design it in a way that it would look relatively the same even after he grew and got older and when she was half way done with it a woman with black hair and black eyes walked into their tent took in the scene and said "Finally wore her down eh Dragon good for you." Dragon groggy and dazed "Thank you aunty Hecate. How does it look?" Hecate looking at Dragons half finished tattoo while Dominique was still inking him "As usual Dominique your talent for this body art is something to admire." Dominique focusing on her sons tattoo "Thank you Hecate." After she was done with Dragon's dragon tattoo and the effects of the mushroom soup he ate wore off his mother and aunty Hecate place two mirrors just right so he can see the tattoo on his back and his screams of joy were heard by everything in the forest the were camping in and in the next moment he was running through the trees and other tents showing off his tattoo to everyone he came across his skin was still red but he didn't care and after a while of running there was only one person left to show but he couldn't find her and decided to go asked Hecate "Aunty Hecate where's Hela? I want to show her my tattoo." Hecate told him "Look for clearing filled with red flowers she'll be sitting in center of it." Dragon already running to see Hela "Alright thank you." Dragon found the red flower clearing and a girl with hair that was half pitch black on right side and snow white on her left and her eyes were also two different colors her right eye was a crimson red and her left eye was sky blue and when she noticed Dragon and saw the smile on face and saw that he was shirtless she knew what he wanted to tell her and Dragon "Hey Hela guess who's mother finally gave him his first tattoo this guy's." Hela not caring and too focused on her own experiment and Dragon noticing the crushed up flowers and plants and the pot placed over a fire and he asked her "What are you working on Hela?" "Something magical." Hela answered Hela held a bottle and poured out it's contents onto the ground and quickly stepped away and Dragon amber colored eyes went wide when suddenly a tree began to grow right before their eyes going from a mere sapling to giant oak tree instantly and Dragon after some stunned silence "Okay that's actually were more impressive. Did you show your mom?" "Not yet but I plan to." Hela leans back to see Dragon tattoo "Of course your first tattoo would be that well detailed your mother wouldn't settle for anything less." Dragon happy to receive a compliment "Thank you I'll be sure to pass it a long to my mom." While the two of them were admiring Hela's tree the two of them heard a noise from the bushes and saw an Antler clearly injured look like he was burnt and decided to bring him to Hecate to receive treatment for his wounds and once they brought the Antler to her she had him brought to her tent and she treated his burns by dipping a cloth in a special ointment and when she wrapped him in the cloth he screamed at first but his pain almost instantly disappeared and he fell asleep When the Antler woke up Hecate was there to greet "Hello there you've been out cold for hours. Now lets check on your injuries." She says as unwraps his bandages and underneath them is a completely healed up skin the Antler was shocked he remember his skin being pretty much melted but now it looks like it was never burnt in the first place and before he could asked her 'how?' Hecate with small grin "Hela, Dragon I know you two are back there come on out if you want to meet the Antler." Dragon and Hela both stepped out from where they hiding and they introduced themselves Dragon spoke first "Hi my name is Dragon and this is Hela we're the ones brought you here." "I thank you my little saviors [turns to Hecate] are these your children?" The Antler asked her and Hecate told him "Hela is my daughter, Dragon is more like my nephew." Dominique looking for her son to give him back his shirt "There you are everyone has seen your tattoo now please put on a shirt [see's the Antler is awake] Oh hello there my name is Dominique you've already met my son and Hela here and if you don't mind me asking what's your name?" The Antler gave his name "My name is Husk it's a pleasure to meet. Now if you don't mind me asking where are all of you from the closest city is Allura but you look [Points at Dominique] like your from Rahara and you [points at Hecate] look like your from Valaheim." He asked and Hecate told him "Your half right Dominique is from Rahara but I am from Allura I just inherited my Valaheim looks from my father and to answer any future potential questions let me just tell you a story. . ." While all of them talked getting to know each other no one bothered to asked the Antler Husk how he got his burns but they would get an answer to that question real soon
