Being Honest with Each Other

Settings
The next night, Lisa was sitting Indian-style on the bed, dressed in similar attire; only her wavy hair was down. She was typing something on her laptop when I stepped into the room. She glanced up at me. “Hey, babe, you need something?” “Well…” “Come on, out with it,” she said with a wink. Slowly and hesitantly, I said, “Well… you promise to say no if this is too much to ask of you?” She gave a quick nod. “Can I sleep in here tonight?” A slow smile spread across her face as she closed her laptop and placed it on the nightstand beside her. “You most certainly can, but there’s something you must know up front because I don’t want to lie to you.” “I don’t care if you snore.” She smiled again. “Yeah, but do you care if being close to me makes me horny? You’re a very beautiful woman, and I’m only human.” “And I’m not?” I asked, plopping myself down on the bed next to her. Her eyebrows rose for a split second with both curiosity and surprise. “No matter how guilty I feel, since Stacey hasn’t been gone long, and no matter how much I miss Henry, they have nothing to do with the fact that, well…” I blushed. “Yeah?” That suggestive smile was back on her face. “Ok, I’ll just spit it out. You’re hot as hell. Like way hotter than both Henry and Stacey, even if it may be wrong of me to compare. I barely know you, yet I like you so far. Your lovely dark eyes, sexy smile, beautiful hair, great ass, fantastic personality… You’re smart, you’ve got a good sense of humor, and I love the sound of your voice. It’s strong and confident yet soothing to the nerves.” Her eyes watered as she looked at me. “I wish I could tell you it was only about needing a place to stay and the insurance thing, but as we just agreed the other night, life isn’t always what we plan it.” A tear spilled over her eyelid and ran down her cheek. “I may feel a bit of guilt for how I feel, but it’s not something I can exactly help or that I chose. At some point during those few days you stayed at the house, was when I realized it. I just tried to suppress those feelings, figuring there wasn’t anything I could do about them anyway. I was with Stacey, and well… I know it may be inappropriate of me to feel this way, and I don’t expect you to feel the same.” She cut me off by pulling me toward her for a warm, tight embrace. One arm slowly circled my back while I felt a hand caress the area between my head and neck. My chin rested on her shoulder as I returned the embrace, inhaling her clean scent. A moment later, she pushed me back and said, “I feel everything you feel.” Then we kissed. “People either hate me or they love me. Remember how you told me that about you?” I nodded. “And do you remember how you sang I’m Not Lisa to me?” I nodded again. “That was the moment I fell in love with you. Sometimes it was hell on me because I didn’t think I would ever have you, but strangely enough, I also knew we were meant to be at the same time. I can’t explain it. I just knew you were in my future, though I didn’t know how. I’d give anything to have my sister back, but letting you go would be incredibly hard for me.” I smiled and said, “I think it’s safe to say that we won’t be untying the knot a year from now.” We laughed, still holding on to each other, foreheads touching. Then she playfully swatted me on the ass and said, “Ok, my lady with the big, beautiful green eyes, I’ll go downstairs and make sure everything is locked up tight, and then we’ll get ready for bed.” A few minutes later, I emerged from the bathroom. I glanced down the stairwell. The downstairs was dark, so I knew she had come back up. She was just inside the bedroom, waiting for me. “Ok, Mrs. Winters. You are now officially mine for the taking.” She effortlessly scooped me up off my feet, threw me on the bed, then flipped off the light.
