Season 1: Diana Crevan.

Phase 1: The Boiling Islands.

Episode 3: I Was a Bad Teenage Abomination - Part 2.

At Eda's. The scene switches to Eda, who ties a blanket full of trash slug eggs to her staff and says the oviduct is full of eggs. King: Lost two students, gained trash slug eggs. An equal exchange. Eda: (snorted) I didn't lose anyone. (she said, looking at him) King: (explaining) If you don't start teaching Luz and Diana the right things, you'll lose them. (stands up and puts his paws on his hips) And then I'll come and make them my students! (he told her with determination in his voice) Ida: (laughs) Ha! What are you going to teach them? How to get stuck in a sweater sleeve? King: (displeased) Hey, that only happened once! (now more decisively) I'll teach them everything about demons. How to recognize them, how to talk to them, how to create an army of them and take over the world! Ida: (smirking) After they rip you out of a sweater sleeve, huh? King: You think you're that smart?! (jumps off) Then why don't we have a bet? (he approaches her) I'll prove I'm the better teacher. Just as Eda was about to agree, they both heard the sound of a chainsaw, then turned toward the sound. A cut appeared in the air, followed by a white portal, and a female figure emerged from it, but we don't see what she looked like yet. King: (his eyes widened) Wait a second... (he began) Ida: (she covered her mouth with her hand, disbelieving her eyes) It can't be... Finally, the scene reveals what the stranger looked like. The girl appeared to be thirty-two years old, and she looked like this. She had long, straight white hair with a soft, pale pink tint, pulled back into a low ponytail with a black elastic band, with two long strands on the sides. Her bangs were neatly tucked at the sides with yellow-green clips. Her eyes were a bright pink with a violet tint, almost cosmic, and she had a beauty mark under her right eye. She was wearing a dark blue dress with long sleeves, over which she wore a green vest with a red circle on the back. She wore a medallion on a golden chain around her neck, but we can't see it yet because the medallion was hidden under her dress. She wore black fingerless gloves with shields, and she was barefoot. This girl's name was Yana Toboso and she was Ida's best friend. She held a chainsaw-like death scythe in her hand and a backpack slung over her shoulders. Yana looked at them with a smirk on her face. Yana: Well, hello, Ida and the King. (she began) Ida: (shocked) Yana?.. King: (happily) You're back! Yana quickly approached Ida, then crouched down and set her backpack on the ground. Yana: (speaking quickly but in a serious voice) Now, hold this death scythe and don't break it, and I have to get it back to the Department of Reapers somehow. (she said and held out the death scythe) She handed the chainsaw-shaped death scythe to Ida, but instead of handing it over, she threw it at Ida, who caught it and nearly fell, but Ida managed to stay on her feet. Ida: (trying to say something) Ah... Yana... Yana: (searching for something in her backpack, with a serious expression) I only came for a minute... but here, I found it. She takes four notebooks or something resembling books from her backpack and hands them to Ida, who is trying to recover from the shock. Yana: Please give these books to my precious daughter when she gets to the Boiling Islands. (She asked her to.) Ida comes to, carefully places the chainsaw on the ground, and then takes the four books from her friend, while Yana quickly picks up the chainsaw. Ida: Of course, I'll give them to her, but... (She is interrupted.) Yana picked up her backpack, then sliced the air with the deadly scythe she'd stolen. A moment later, a portal opened, and Yana looked at Ida with a smile. Yana: (explaining) Remember that in the shinobi world, in the human world, and in the demon world, time flows the same for everyone, but in Alternate England, time flows differently. (Then she looked at the king.) I'll be here again soon, don't be sad. And I hope you'll be friends with my daughter. (She told him.) She entered the portal, and it instantly closed, leaving the king and Ida alone. Ida: (shaking her head, recovering from the shock) Ah, King, what... were you saying a minute ago? King: We have a bet. Ida: I see. She placed the four books on the floor and began rummaging through her hair. Ida: (pulling a book of notes about the bet from her gray hair) Then I must remind you that I only use our bets to humiliate you. She points to the stickers with stars in the squares under Eda's drawing and the defeat stamps under King's head. King says he likes those odds. Eda: (holding up the egg) Then how about this: train this trash slug to be your loyal soldier in one day. Prove you're a better teacher than me, and Luz and Diana will be yours. But if you can't, I'll call you Mr. Slug. King: Well, then, if you lose, you'll have to... wear the cap of shame, sleep in a shack, and never enter the Owl House again! Eda agrees and asks him to place his paw on the page next to her signature. Eda drops the egg on King's head as it hatches, and King catches the trash slug. Eda laughs and leaves. Diana and Luz — In the Forest. The scene returns to Luz and Diana, who look at Willow in surprise. Diana holds her bangs back with one hand to keep the wind from blowing on them, hiding her yellow-green eyes. Willow notices the two girls and quickly calms down. Willow: (her eyes stop glowing) Oh no, no, no! (she says anxiously) She quickly approaches them and uses her plant magic to free them from the vines. Willow: (concerned) I'm so sorry! Willow stood up and offered Diana her hand. We can't see her gaze from under Diana's bangs, but she eyed the witch suspiciously for a few seconds. Diana still didn't trust Willow, and then Diana stood up on her own, without her help, surprising Willow. Diana: (dryly) I don't need your help. I can stand up on my own. Willow: (blinking in confusion) Ah... but are you and your friend okay? (then lost in thought) Why is she doing this to me? I was worried about her and her friend. (she thought a little sadly) Luz: (trying to reassure Willow) It's okay. The thorns can only penetrate a few layers of skin. Diana suddenly noticed Willow's slightly sad expression, sighed, and looked at her. Diana: (apologizing) I'm sorry, I didn't mean to offend you like that. Willow was about to say something, but noticed Diana's round ears and was surprised. Willow: (surprised) Your ears... Then she leaned toward Luz and looked at her with a surprised and curious expression. Willow: You and she have such... round ones. Luz covers her ears with both hands in fear, and Diana just crosses her arms. Willow: (gasps) You're both people! Amazing! Two people on the Boiling Islands! (she helps her up and starts pacing around Luz) How did you get here? What are you doing here? She hears the school bell. Willow: Oh, sorry, I have to go. I have to go disappoint the teacher. (starts to leave) It was nice meeting you, people. Diana: (thoughts) Does she have low self-esteem? I wouldn't be surprised if it's because of that upstart and her arrogant friends. (she thought and mentally put an X on Amity, indicating she doesn't trust her or already has a slight dislike for her.) Luz quickly grabs Diana's hand, and they both run up to Willow. Luz: Wait! I'm Luz. And you're Willow, right? (Letting go of Diana's hand.) What you did with those flowers and plants is just... wow. Willow: (Uncertainly and sadly.) Thank you, but... I shouldn't have used flower magic. Diana: (Crossing her arms, speaking seriously.) Why? You have an amazing talent for this magic. And by the way, my name is Diana. Willow: (Blushing.) Oh, th-thank you... but my parents sent me to a specialized course in Abomination. Diana: (Thoughts.) They don't want their daughter to be herself and be happy? (She looked dissatisfied, then shook her head.) Either they had some kind of problem, or they were afraid of someone. (She thought for a moment.) Luz: (squeals, grabbing Willow's hand) Magic school? That's so cool! (lets go of Willow) I'm so jealous. Diana and I have a teacher too, but her classes are a little unusual. Diana: (agrees) Yeah, the brown-eyed one. (she said, and Luz's cheeks flushed) Luz: (continues talking, but with a blush on her cheeks) I bet she won't even let us in. But I'd like to spend at least one day there. (she said to Willow, then became lost in thought) And maybe my best friend will find a friend, or maybe find a future wife or husband. (she thought, her brown eyes shining with excitement) Willow: I really want to get a positive grade this time. People would finally stop calling me "Half-Witch Willow." (She kicks at her spilled filth, which groans.) At that moment, Diana remembered how Eda called her "half-human" the first time she met Luz. Diana: (Thoughts) I don't like nicknames like that. (She rolled her eyes in irritation under her bangs.) And I can't stand school bullying either. (She thought and sighed.) Luz: Hey, wait. I know how we can both get what we want. (She picks up the slime.) Diana glanced at Luz; she knew her well. Luz: (splattering slime on her sweatshirt) Make me your monster. I'll give you a good grade, and Diana and I will go to magic school. That's devilishly clever. Willow: What? (she exclaimed) Diana: (a smirk appeared at the corners of her lips, and she glanced at the witch) What are you looking at? That sounds great. (she crossed her arms) Luz says that this monster is just parts of something weird, and she herself is part of something weird, and Willow giggled at her joke, and Diana giggled too and smiled tenderly. Willow: (extending her hand to Luz) Okay, then it's a deal. Luz. Luz shook Willow's hand. Luz: (shaking her hand) Excellent plan. At that moment, their hands became stuck together due to the sticky mess, and Diana walked up to Luz, stood behind her, and hugged her. Then, taking a step back, she was able to free Luz from the sticky mess. Diana released her childhood best friend from the embrace. Luz blushed at Diana's help, then remembered that Diana wasn't ready for a romantic relationship yet and hadn't met the right person yet. This upset Luz for a moment, but then she sighed, and her intense blush faded. Diana: Oh, Willow, by the way, I'm coming too. (she said to her) Luz: (happily) Yes. Willow: (looking at Diana in surprise) But you're not a student or a witch. Diana: I know, but... (she chuckled) But could you conjure me a stylish school uniform for disguise, like yours? (she asked her) Willow was surprised by this request, but blushing, she conjured a magic circle in the air, and a moment later, Diana's school uniform appeared, looking like this. It consisted of a gray tunic, a dark gray belt, a dark gray hood, and beige sleeves and leggings, with the human-world shoes remaining. Diana: (asks them with interest) How do I look? Luz: (blushing) It really... suits you. Willow: (draws another spell circle) Look at it for yourself. (she said, smiling) At that moment, a large round mirror appeared in front of Diana, and then Diana looked at herself in the mirror and smiled. Diana: In short, 10 out of 10. And it's much better than my school uniform a second ago. At that moment, the mirror disappeared, and Diana pulled on her hood. When she put it on, two long gray strands of hair hung down the sides of her face. Diana: Now I'm completely disguised, and I need a hood for Luz. Luz looked at her friend in confusion, and a second later, Willow conjured a dark gray hood-cloak, which fell into Diana's hands. Then she walked over to the confused Luz, stood on tiptoe to reach her, and pulled on the school cape. Diana placed the hood on Luz and turned to Willow. Diana: We're both ready. Luz: (confused) Why do I need a hood? Diana: (turning and placing her hands on Luz's shoulders; by God, she could reach them) Brown Eyes, understand, you have to think about your own safety first. I don't know how Willow's classmates, the teachers, and the principal of this school will react to you being human. But you have to act like that slime and hide your human ears. I'm very worried about you, Luz. (She said this in a voice that was both caring and serious.) Luz looked at Diana and realized she was right, then nodded, indicating she understood, and Willow looked at them and smiled tenderly. Willow: (thought) She might be a little rude with strangers, but with those close to her, she's so friendly and kind. (thought) The scene switches to the witch school, and it looks like this. The school is a large stone building with a large bell in the middle. It looks like it stepped straight out of the pages of a book. Willow: (explaining) Welcome to Hexside, the School of Magic and Demonology. She glanced at Diana. Willow: (explaining) Your beige sleeves and leggings indicate you haven't chosen your class yet. Diana: (nodding) I see. (thoughtfully) I wonder if their school will be like Harry Potter's? (She was a little curious.) Luz squealed at the sight. They entered the school and saw how large it was inside. They also noticed that all the students looked different, and Diana whistled. In the hallway, Willow tried to pry his mouth open by scratching at her locker, but found her books lying on his tongue, and she took them. At that moment, someone nudged Diana, and Diana turned to see a twelve-year-old boy with dark skin and dark brown hair with blond streaks. Like all witches and demons on the Boiling Isles, he had pointed ears. He wore a gray tunic with a dark gray belt, hood, and boots. The sleeves and pants of his robe were blue. His name was Augustus Porter, and he stood 2 cm taller than Diana. Augustus: (reading a journal) Willow, you won't believe people like him exist. He looked at Diana in surprise, then blushed. August: (thoughts) She's new. And she looks so unusual. (he looked at her, embarrassed) Diana: (calmly) Hello. (she greeted him) Willow: (nervously) Humans? I've never seen them. Why? August: (shaked his head and looked at Willow) You know how people put metal rods in kids' teeth? But why? Maybe they need magnets to stick to their teeth? Diana: (to herself) Actually, they're braces, and they're for straight teeth. But his description sounds weird. (to herself) Luz: (inside the pot) Actually, it's for storing candy. August looked at Willow and raised an eyebrow. Willow: (beginning) Okay, August. I need to tell you something. She glanced at Diana, but couldn't read her expression under her bangs. Willow: (whispering) Don't worry, you can trust him, he's my friend. Diana: (under her bangs, rolling her eyes and looking at August, hands on her hips) Can you keep a secret? (She asked him very seriously.) August nods his head in agreement. Diana: (clarifying) Are you sure? August nods again. Diana: (continuing) You're not lying? (her voice remains very serious) August nods for the third time and looks at her uncertainly. Diana: Okay. (she takes off her hood and shows him her round ears) Ta-da. August: (shocked) No way. Diana: (She smiled and put her hood back on) But that's not all. (She looked at Willow) Willow, please. (She said, waving her hand, as if hinting) Willow: Disgust, wake up. Luz gets up from the cauldron, smiling. Luz: (smiling) Ta-da! I'm an Abomination. Willow: (hands on hips, looking at Luz) Luz, Abominations don't act like that. Luz: Oh, I didn't know that. (removes her hood) Hello. (says to August, waving) August notices her ears and drops the magazine. August: (playing with his ears, not taking his eyes off Luz, while Diana giggled quietly off to the side, covering her mouth with her fist) No. No, that's... that's impossible. Willow: (explaining to Diana and Luz) He's the president of the Lovers Society. Few people can immediately tell who's standing in front of them. But August is an expert. August: (asking Luz and Diana) Where are your gills? (with delight and curiosity) Diana: (looking at him and shaking her head in denial) Fish have gills, but humans don't. (She explained to him, and he looked at her with admiration.) Luz: (puts on her hood and crosses her arms) Diana and I had our own Augustus in our world. Diana and I called him Gus. Diana: (thoughts) He was someone I trusted, and he was friends with both Luz and me. Too bad he moved away with his parents to Piedmont, California, when I was nine. (she thought, her smile fading, then sighed quietly, sadly) I wonder how he's doing? (she thought) Gus: (happily) Gus? A nickname? A human nickname? Gus? Call me Gus. Wow. Gus. Best day of my life. At that moment, the school bell rings like fangs, and Diana flinches in surprise. Diana: (to herself) It sounded like a school bell. (She rested her chin on her hand and smiled.) When Halloween comes, I'll turn that sound on my phone, but I need to record it another time. (She thought to herself.) Gus: (Explains and leaves) I have to run to magic class. See you at lunch! Willow forces Luz back into the cauldron. At Eda's. The camera returns to the owl house, where the King is training the slug with dog treats. King: (showing him a cookie) Ooh, who's a nice little Prince Junior? Who's a good boy? Eda: (sitting in a lounge chair, drinking from a coffee mug) Hey, Mr. Slither! You're not teaching him anything like that. King: (displeased) It's called a reward, Eda. And it works wonders. Prince Junior eats his treat and gets bigger. King: (laughs) Ha! See? Now watch. (pulls out another cookie) Junior Prince! Attack Ida! Spill her drink! Ruin her hair! Ida: (casually) Oh no. Please, that's enough. King: Well, actually, I haven't seen your students in ages. As far as I understand, they're no longer loyal to you. Ida: Dream on. But really. Where are they? At Diana and Willow's. Willow and Diana were standing behind the wall, hiding, a cauldron nearby. Diana: (whispering) Why are we hiding? You probably have class already? I think I do too. Willow: (explaining) You should go through that door. (gesticulating) And talk to whoever's there. If you come with me to my class, it will look suspicious... (she's interrupted) Diana: (raising an eyebrow questioningly from under her bangs) Should I talk to the principal? Is he going to pick my class based on the color of my sleeves and leggings? (asks, surprising Willow) Willow: You figured it out quickly. (She shook her head.) Okay, I'll wait for you and Luz here, and then we'll go to my Abominations class. Diana said nothing, but quickly ran to the door marked "Principal's Office" and knocked. Diana: (thoughts) I hope their director in this world isn't like Stone, who in my world is Director Hal's assistant. (she thought with disdain) Male voice: Come in. Diana heard the older man's voice, then took a deep breath, exhaled, and reached for the doorknob. Five seconds ago. The scene shifts to the headmaster of the magic school, and this is what he looked like. He was an elderly man, as evidenced by the wrinkles around his upper lip. He had light beige skin and turquoise eyes with bright yellow sclera. He had a red demon on his head, covering half his face, giving the impression that the demon had swallowed him whole. He was dressed in traditional academic robes, consisting of a long black dress with a gold yoke, a black cape, gold braiding on the sleeves and hem, and a blue cape draped over his shoulders. It was Principal Bump, carefully studying important documents. Then he heard a knock on the door and was slightly surprised, but shook his head. Principal Bump: Come in. He heard the door open cautiously, and Diana, still standing in the doorway, peered out cautiously. Willow remained standing behind the wall, not trying to see what was happening to Diana. Diana: (feigning uncertainty) Are you... the principal of this... school? Principal Bump was surprised to see her and her uncertainty, then looked at her intently for a few seconds, narrowing his eyes, as if he saw someone familiar in Diana, or pretended to. He put the papers in the drawer and looked at her again. Principal Bump: You're right. I'm the principal of this school, and my name is Bump. Come in, don't be shy. (He introduced himself and smiled.) Diana hesitantly entered and closed the door, while Willow sighed behind the wall. Diana: (feigning uncertainty and lying) My name is... Diana Noseda, and... my mother teleported your documents to Hexside yesterday for my... application to your school. (She explained to him.) Principal Bump: (waving his hand) But I didn't receive any documents for yesterday. Diana feigned sadness and lowered her head. Diana: (pretending to be sad) But I thought... The Principal noticed her sad expression, but he didn't know what was hiding under her bangs. Principal Bump: (standing up and starting to approach her) Come on, Miss Diana. The cleaners probably accidentally took your document. No need to be sad. (He tried to cheer her up and placed his hand on her shoulder.) Diana: (She looked at him and smiled weakly.) Really? Principal Bump: (nodding) So which of the nine types of magic are you interested in? (he asked her.) Diana's yellow-green eyes widened under her bangs in surprise and question. Diana: (thought) Well, this reminds me a bit of the Harry Potter series. I wonder if they have a Sorting Hat? But if they do, I wouldn't be surprised. (she thought) She looked away and continued feigning uncertainty. Diana: (pretending) I haven't… decided yet which class… I'll be in. It's a very difficult… choice for me. (she explained to him) Director Bump: Don't worry, I have one special... (he's interrupted) Diana: (stretching her hands forward and continuing to pretend) No, no. I'd like someone... to show me around the school first... and then I'll decide. Principal Bump: (resets the magic circle) Understood. I have several talented students, and they could give you a tour of the school. Diana: (smiling innocently) That would be nice. (she said and went into her thoughts) I hope it won't be that upstart's girlfriends. (she thought with disdain) At that moment, a magical scroll-shaped phone appeared. Bump typed something on it for half a minute, then finished, and the scroll disappeared. Principal Bump: They'll be there soon, we just need to wait a little while. Is that okay with you? Diana: (still smiling innocently) Of course. (She said, lost in thought.) Well, it seems their school principal is reasonable. (She thought.) In the bard class. The scene switches to a fourteen-year-old witch girl who looked like this. She had pinkish-gray and dark purple hair, pulled back into a ponytail with a red elastic band, dark brown skin, and gray eyes. She was wearing the standard Hexside school uniform with red sleeves and red leggings, along with gold studded earrings. The girl's name was Skara, and she was in the bard class, where they studied musical magic. She was carefully writing down the notes for a magical violin melody in her notebook when Skara heard her teacher's voice. Music teacher: Skara. (She called her name.) Skara: (rising from her seat) Yes, teacher? Music Teacher: (explaining) Skara, there's a new student at our school, and Bump has asked you to give her a tour. And you don't have to be present for class. Skara's other classmates began whispering, their gazes tinged with envy. Skara looked surprised at first, then smiled and bowed. Skara: (smiling) It's an honor, teacher. (she said to her and began to leave the classroom.) Can I bring Boscha and Amity with me? (standing next to the door, asking her) Music Teacher: (explaining) Amity will be busy, but Bosha is free. Skarala only smiled understandingly and left the classroom. Diana. Diana waited silently for about five minutes, then decided to speak. Diana: (offering) Principal Bump, can I wait for them outside? (she said to him.) Bump nodded, and Diana left the office, closing the door. At that moment, Willow quickly ran up to her with the cauldron. Willow: So? How did it go? (She asked bluntly, her voice tinged with worry.) Diana: (She crossed her arms and sighed with annoyance.) You'll see. Willow, hurry to your class, or the teacher will scold you. (She asked her.) Willow did so, and Diana rolled her eyes, leaned against the wall, crossed her arms, and waited for these talented students. In the Potions classroom. The scene switches to a fourteen-year-old witch girl who looked like this. She had reddish-purple hair that reached the middle of her back, pulled back into a bun. She had three gray-blue eyes. Her school uniform consisted of yellow sleeves and leggings. The girl's name was Bosha, and she was in Potions class, where they teach how to brew potions and elixirs. She was preparing an invisibility potion in a cauldron when Skara ran into the classroom, looking happy and smiling, and Bosha almost dropped the wrong potion ingredient. Skara: (happily) Teacher, I've come for Bosha. Principal Bump explained... (she was interrupted) Potions teacher: (looking at her) Oh, Skara, I was about to tell her about it. (then looking at Bosha) Go, Skara will explain everything to you. (then looking at the student) In the meantime, go to the board and show us how you learned the teleportation potion. At that moment, Bosha walked toward Skara, who grabbed her hand and they both ran out of the classroom. Five minutes later. Diana continued to wait, and then she saw Scara and Bosha running toward her. Then they both stopped in front of her, and Scara lowered Bosha's hand, then, barely breathing, extended her hand to Diana. Scara: (smiled) So you're the new student? I'm Scara. (She introduced herself and glanced at Bosha.) This is my friend Bosha. Bosha looked at Diana in surprise, then shook her head. Bosha: (calmly and smiling slightly) Hello. We, Skara, are pleased to meet you. Diana: (dryly and sarcastically) Yes, and I'm pleased to meet you too, girls. (she said without shaking Skara's hand.) Skara lowered her hand, confused, and looked first at Bosha, then at Diana. Skara: (looked at Diana in confusion) What happened? Did I say something wrong? (then looked back at Bosha) Bosha, why did she answer like that? Bosha wanted to stand up for her friend and didn't like Diana's unfriendly attitude toward Skara, but Diana stopped her. Diana: (sighed and looked at Skara) Forgive me for my answer, of course, but your appearance can be deceiving, because... (she was interrupted) Skara suddenly realized something and looked down sadly. Skara: (sadly) Do I look like a bitch like my friend? Bosha placed her hand on Skara's shoulder. Diana: (She snorted in irritation, half-lying.) Again. It's just that when I was a child, I was betrayed by a witch I considered my best friend, and she seemed as innocent in appearance and character as a dandelion, but that was a lie. Because of that, I don't trust just anyone. Are you happy now? (She explained to Skara with displeasure.) After this explanation, Skara felt sympathy for Diana, and Boshi's three eyes widened; she, too, felt a slight sympathy for her, but didn't want to show it. Skara: (Sympathetically.) I'm sorry. (Whispered.) Diana: (waves) Come on, show me around the school. Skara: (smiles weakly) Of course. She tried to take Diana's hand, but Diana avoided it, taking a step to the side. Diana: (seriously) I only have one request: don't grab my hand. Understand? Skara simply looked at her understandingly, and the three of them headed toward the Abomination classroom. After a while. The three of them were already standing at the door of the Abomination Classroom, and Diana glanced at the two witch girls. Diana: Can you wait for me outside the door? Bosha: (She conjured a magic scroll and looked at it.) Of course. By the way, the teacher there is a bit rude, but ignore his comments. (She gave Diana a little advice.) Diana: (Nods, turns, and touches the doorknob, then looks at them again with a smirk.) Okay. By the way, my name is Diana Noseda. (She said this and entered the classroom, closing the door.) In the Classroom of Abomination. Diana enters the classroom and immediately encounters the teacher—a squat, short humanoid with pointed ears, a round, beak-like mouth, two fangs in the top row of teeth, two claws on each foot, and narrow eyes. He has chin-length green hair and a large bald spot on the top of his head. He has green eyebrows that curve inward and a small green goatee. He, too, was held captive by the abomination. Teacher: (approaching her) So, you're a new student who wants to enroll at our school. Who brought you on the tour? Diana: (explaining) Scara and Bosha, sir. Willow nearly choked on the two familiar names and winced, while Amity crossed her arms with a smirk. Teacher: (smiling) I see. (then, looking at the students) You'll all show her what you've learned, and you won't disappoint her. (He spoke to them sternly and sharply, his tone making everyone except Amity flinch.) Diana stood by the door, frowning from under her bangs. Witch Girl: (supporting herself) I hope I pass. I'm sure of it. She had a monster with eight legs sticking out everywhere. Teacher: (displeased) Too many legs in the wrong places. Fail. Too bad! You're all the most disgusting people here! If next lesson is like this, everyone will get extra homework for a month! (he looked at Diana) By the way, what's your name? Diana: (smiled) I'm Diana. (she said, lost in thought) What a rude person (she thought displeasedly) Witch Girl: Extra homework? Again! Amity rose from her seat and raised her hand. Amity: Excuse me, I'm ready to present my Abomination to our future student. Awake! Abomination rises from the pot, groans, and strikes a pose. Diana: (thoughts) She managed to create a good Abomination, but such an arrogant girl. (she thought) Teacher: (laughs) I always save the best for last, Amity. Wait your turn. How about... Willow. Witch Student: Not the Under-Witch. Female Student: Excellent. Homework for the month. Diana clenched her fists, disliking the way her classmates were treating Willow. Willow pulled her hood up over her head, hurt by these words. Diana: (thoughts) How dare they? She may not have the talent to create monsters, but she is a master of plant magic. (Her eyes flashed yellow-green from under her bangs and glanced at Willow's classmates.) To you, she's a half-witch and a gray mouse, but that's not true. She will definitely become a powerful plant witch in the future. (She thought and sighed.) Luz: (peeking out of the pot, encouraging her) Don't listen to them, Willow. We can handle this. Willow notices Diana's subtle hint to her to be brave. Then Willow approaches the class, ready to speak. Willow: (a little hesitantly) O-disgust, wake up. Luz: (knocks off the lid and jumps out) Ta-da! The entire class gasped in surprise, and Diana smiled and crossed her arms. Willow: Disgust, bow. Luz: (grumbles and bows) Ugh! Teacher: (asks with a smile) Impressive. It can talk? Luz: I may be your Disgust, but you are my Disgust... Diana now smiled tenderly, watching this sweet moment. Diana: (thoughts) She needs to study here. She looks so much happier here than in our human school in the human world. (she thought) Amity was shocked, her mouth hanging open. Willow's classmates: (gasped at the cuteness) Aww! Teacher: (laughs) "Mommy!" What a wonderful play on words. Excellent! Everyone clapped and applauded Willow, and Diana clapped too, catching Amity's expression from under her bangs. Amity's expression changed from surprised to angry. Diana: (thoughts) Why can't she be nicer to her? (she thought) She left the classroom and closed the door. Skara: (interested) Did you enjoy the Abomination class? (she asked bluntly) Bosha: (puts away the magic scroll and looks at Diana) How was the teacher? Diana: (seriously, with a hint of displeasure) The Abomination class is a complete no-no. And the teacher is rude, blind, and stupid all at once. I'm not going to study here. (she explained to them) The two witches were surprised by her explanation. Bosha: Could you elaborate? Diana: (explaining) Their teacher is unfair and rude to her students. One girl in this class created an Abomination, but with minor errors, and the teacher gave her a failing grade. But she tried very hard, it was evident on her face, and the teacher upset that girl. Her Abomination deserved a solid "B." First, it had a head, and second, a torso and body. But it had lots of fingers and toes. And that's a solid "B," not a failing grade. (She expressed her opinion.) After Diana's detailed explanation, Scara and Bosha's jaws dropped in surprise. They hadn't expected such a smart and fair assessment from Diana, and both agreed. Diana: (interestedly) So where are we going now? (she asked) Both witches recovered from their shock and simultaneously shook their heads, but just as they were about to say something, the school bell rang for recess. Diana: (thought) I already like this school bell. (she thought, smiling) Bosha: (suggested) Let's do it after recess. Scara will show you the bard lesson, and then I'll show you the potions lesson. What do you think? Diana: (nods) Okay. But can I check on Luz first? (she asked) Scara and Bosha: (simultaneously) With Luz?/With whom? (they were confused) Diana: (half a lie) Luz is my sister, and she's hiding in this school. (she said calmly) Scara: Your sister... (she began) Diana: (explaining) I didn't tell the principal about her on purpose so she could sneak into your school and look at her. And Willow is keeping an eye on her. Bosha felt a pang of disdain at the mention of "Willow," and at that moment, the students from the Abomination class began to leave the room. Bosha snorted and took Skara's hand. Bosha: (trying to hide the disdain in her voice, but it was weak) Diana, Skara, and I will come get you after recess. (she said and walked away with Skara.) Skara: (slightly confused) Ah... Okay, Diana, I'll see you soon. (she said, waving her hand.) Diana suddenly understood, and at that moment, Willow approached her with a cauldron. Diana: (thought) Stop. Those two girls are that upstart's friends. (she thought.) Willow: Diana, is everything okay? Luz: (Peeking out of the pot) Diana, how did it turn out? Did you like it? Diana: (Shaking her head and looking at Luz with a smile) Brown Eyes, that was awesome. You turned out to be a wonderful Abomination. (She said this, and Luz smiled and returned to the pot.) At that moment, the Abomination teacher approached them. Teacher: (praising her) You did a great job today, Willow. Looks like we have a new star student. At that moment, Amity exits the classroom. Hearing this, she dropped her books and gasped in surprise. She growled in anger as the teacher approached her and took her badge. Amity: (growls and reaches for her badge) But... The nasty teacher hangs the badge on Willow's hood and leaves, and Diana just shakes her head. Diana: (thoughts) It's just a badge. (she thought, not liking Amity's reaction) Amity: Hey. Both turned to Amity. Amity: (looking at Willow) Last time I saw you, your Abomination was purple mush. What did you do? Willow struggled to find the words, but Diana came to her rescue. Diana: (lying and defending her) I gave Willow advice on the street near the school about how to turn that mush into a solid Abomination. And she followed my advice. Amity: (glaring at Diana) When did you even become friends with that half-witch Willow? Willow looked slightly offended. Diana: (looking at Amity and teasing her) Upstart, when did you even become friends with that talented, cool, and powerful flower sorceress? Willow was stunned by Diana's compliments and defense; a bright blush appeared on her cheeks, and Amity was shocked and starting to get angry. Amity: (angrily) What did you just... (quickly interrupted) Diana: (crossing her arms and smirking) What did you hear, upstart? A few students giggled off to the side, and Amity continued to stare at Diana, embarrassed and angry. Amity: I won't take my eyes off you and Willow. Especially you, Diana. That badge is mine. She steps back, not taking her eyes off them, even when she bumps into another student. Diana: (with a smirk on her face) We'll see, we'll see, upstart. (she whispered) She looked at Willow, who was still blushing. Diana: Hello, Willow. (she called her name) Willow: (at first confused and blushing) Uh... W-what?.. (then quickly shook her head, and the blush disappeared) Looks like Amity's figured us out. Diana was about to answer, but at that moment the bell rang for class. Diana: (quickly leaving) See you at lunch, Willow. (she said to her) A couple of minutes later. The scene switches to Bosha, who was pacing back and forth, left, right, and back again. Skara: (trying to calm her down) Bosha, what happened? So what... (she's interrupted) At that moment, Diana approached them. Diana: (calmly asking) So where's Bart's class? (her gaze from under her bangs was suspicious, looking at the girls) Skara suddenly jumped in surprise and turned to face her, while Bosha stopped and winced. Skara: Oh, Diana, you came so suddenly... and so quietly. We didn't even hear you. Diana: (ignoring her words) Then let's get going. (she continued calmly) Bosha: (explaining) Skara changed her mind. You'll go to my Potions class first and then to Bart's class. Is that okay with you? Diana: (calmly) Okay. The three of them walked toward Bart's class. After a while. They were already standing at the door to the Potions classroom, and then they walked inside. To the Potions classroom. All three entered, and Bosha closed the door. Diana, watching the class closely, noticed a witch looking fearfully at a snake on a table next to a small potion cauldron and ingredients for someone's potion or elixir. Bosha's classmates looked at Diana in surprise and began whispering. Potions teacher: So, you're new? Diana met the gaze of a man with pointed ears, who looked at her calmly and with a smile. Diana: (bowed) Hello, sir. My name is Diana Noseda. Potions Master: (he began) So... (he was interrupted) At that moment, everyone heard the witch's frightened screech, afraid of the snake. Potions Master: Margo, what are you talking about? It's just a snake. Margo was about to answer, but she was interrupted. Diana: Calm down. Margo: (shuddered) W-what? Diana: (she was now standing next to her) I'm telling you. You need to calm down, the snake can sense it. (She calmly gave her advice.) Margot: (a little frightened) But... Diana: (explaining seriously) The snake senses that you're afraid of it. It won't bite you unless it perceives you as dangerous or threatening, as a sign that you intend to harm it. But you're simply afraid of it, and I'm telling you to relax and show it you're not afraid, but if you don't, the snake won't come near you. Everyone but the teacher was stunned by this explanation and advice, and then everyone but the teacher's jaws dropped in amazement. Diana: Do you need help? Margot snapped out of her shock and nodded hesitantly. Diana: (giving advice) Take a deep breath and mentally count to four, then exhale slowly. Margot obeyed, and her body relaxed slightly. Diana: (smiling) Now reach out to the snake. Margot did so, and the snake first looked at the witch intently, then began to carefully crawl up her arm and stopped on her shoulder. Margo: (giggles) It tickles. Diana: (crossed her arms) See, she's not dangerous, she's friendly. Margo didn't respond, just smiled slightly, then picked up a small kombu and carefully placed it on the snake's tooth. Snake blood began to drip onto the kombu. Then Margo poured the snake blood into the cauldron, stroked the snake's chin with her finger, and the snake began to hiss with pleasure. Everyone started clapping for Diana and Margot in admiration. At Ida's. Back at the Owl House, Eda slams the door open, causing Hootie's face to hit the wall, and he glares at her. Ida: (asking) Did you see Luz and Diana? Hootie: (explaining) I heard their mouse feet scurrying around somewhere nearby. Or maybe it was a mouse. Anyway, someone went in that direction. Eda realizes she's heading in that direction, runs into the school, and looks out the window. She laments the blind obedience of the young student in her class, the mindless routine in another classroom, and spots Luz through another window, standing next to Willow and writing something down. Then, through another window, she sees Diana in Potions class, and the students applaud her and Margot. Then Eda turns away and screams at the sky. Some time later, at Diana's. The three of them left the classroom. Bosha glanced at Diana, and Skara, beaming with admiration, looked at her too. Bosha: (interestedly) How long have you known so much about snakes? Skara: (admiringly) I'm curious too. What happened in class was amazing! And your advice and explanations were simply indescribable; you clearly know a lot about this. And Margo is grateful to you for helping her overcome her fear. You're so wonderful! Bosha: (thoughts) I agree with her. (thoughts, she smiled) Diana was stunned by these words from Skara, Amity's friend, but there was a sense of sincerity in Skara's words, and Diana opened her mouth as if to say something, then closed it and looked away from her bangs. She didn't know how to feel about Skara and Bosha. Diana: (thoughts) Are she and Bosha really her friends? (she was confused) Bosha: (She reached for Diana's bangs.) By the way, how can you even see anything? Your bangs are in the way... (She was interrupted.) Diana noticed this and slapped Bosha's hand disapprovingly. Bosha pulled her hand back and rubbed it. Diana: (She's half lying.) I forgot my glasses at home and cast a spell to see through my bangs. And if anyone else touches my bangs, the spell will instantly disappear, practically blinding me. Bosha: (She looked at her sympathetically and rubbed her hand.) Sorry, I should have asked you about this first. Diana: (she sighed) I understand everything. (she glanced at Scara) Luz and I have loved snakes since childhood. (she answered her question briefly and smiled) Scara: (gasped) I see. (now she smiled) Now let's go to my class. Diana merely nodded in agreement. After a while. The three of them were already standing next to the door of Bart's classroom, and then they walked inside. In Bart's classroom. Everyone gathered in Bart's classroom, and Skara closed the door. Diana was surprised to see so many different musical instruments. Diana: (thought) So Bart's classroom is some kind of music room. (she thought) Music teacher: Skara, you finally brought her. The students and I have been waiting for her for so long. Diana sees a middle-aged witch with pointy ears. Diana: Hello, my name is Diana. Music Teacher: (smiles) Nice to meet you, Diana. What's your favorite instrument? (she asks) Diana: (smiles) The flute, miss. The teacher magically handed the flute to Diana, who picked it up. Music Teacher: (asks) Can you play any tune you like for us all? Diana said nothing, simply closed her eyes, touched her lips to the flute, and began to play. As she played, Diana didn't feel the wind, which slowly and gradually began to sweep through the classroom, and then a pleasant forest scent filled the room. The students, Bosha and Skara, were surprised, and the music teacher watched Diana with interest. The music itself was beautiful, soft, and pleasant. Suddenly, the wind enveloped Diana, causing two long gray strands of hair to flutter in the breeze. At that moment, Diana sensed the pleasant forest scent and a gentle breeze, then stopped playing and, confused, let go of the flute. She looked around and then at the flute in her hands, still confused. Diana: (whispering) What just happened... Skara: (clapping) Wow! Diana, you played so beautifully. Skara's classmates also started clapping, as did the music teacher, and Bosha looked at Diana. Bosha: (thoughts) She surprises me. (she thought) Diana remained perplexed and didn't understand anything. Diana: (thoughts) The windows were closed. But why was there a wind blowing, and could I smell the forest? (she thought) In the dining room. The scene then shifts to the dining room, where Luz is still sitting on the potty, hooded. Gus and Willow are sitting next to the potty. The scene then shifts to Diana, who is sitting next to Scara and Bosha. Diana glances at Luz, which Scara and Bosha notice. Scara: (curiously) Is that your sister? (whispering, she points at her) Diana: (whispering) Yes. (she says, taking a bite of her peanut butter and jelly sandwich) Bosha: (quickly glanced at Luz) Do you and Luz have a habit of wearing hoods? Diana simply nodded and continued watching her childhood best friend. Gas: (asking) Hey. Do people eat sandwiches? (pulls a sandwich out of his pocket) Luz: (her eyes light up) Oh my god. I haven't had a proper meal in so long. Please, give me some. Gas cut the sandwich in half and gave one half to Luz. Luz took her half and returned to the pot. Willow glanced at Diana, who was sitting next to two of Amity's friends. She didn't understand why she'd chosen them, and then looked back at Gus. Bosha: (Calmly at first) Diana, I wanted to ask. (Then a little irritated) Why is half-witch Willow looking after your sister and not, say, Amity? She would have shown her around school. (She asked bluntly.) Diana: (She put her sandwich down on her plate, frowning slightly) Because my sister and I met her first, and she showed me where Principal Bump's office was. (She told her.) Bosha wanted to say something, but Diana stopped her. Diana: (She rolled her eyes under her bangs.) What about Amity? My sister and I met Amity at the same time as Willow, and Amity struck me as a snooty girl. (She looked at the girls.) No offense. I know she's your friend, but I didn't like her, and I don't trust her. That's why I trusted Willow to Luz. (She tried to explain it more gently.) Bosha and Skara were surprised, but they knew Diana was right, and Bosha felt ashamed, calling Willow a half-witch in front of Diana. It was thanks to Willow that they both met Diana. Skara glanced at Bosha and placed her hand on her shoulder. Willow: I don't even know, Gus. If Amity had seen this... At that moment, Amity jumped up on the table. Diana heard her and stood up abruptly, slightly startling Skara and Bosha. Amity: (angrily) I saw it! (standing in front of Willow) Abominations can't eat! I know you're in there! Diana quickly looked around and saw the "Monstrous Beasts" teacher, then ran up to him. Diana: Teacher. Teacher: Yes, Diana? Diana pointed at Amity, and he looked in her direction. Amity: (angrily) You can't hide. Who are you? Who are you? She grabs Luz by the shirt. Amity: Who are you? Do I need answers? (She shakes her vigorously, and Luz holds her hood to keep it from slipping.) Teacher: (shouting) Amity Blythe! Amity: (looking at the teacher) Huh? Teacher: (walking up to her, as Diana did to her) I expected some jealousy, but this... This is sad. Amity: But I... No! (gestures at Luz) Look at this. Luz played the role of Disgust perfectly. Diana: (feigning confusion) What are you talking about? This is Willow's abomination. Can't you see? Amity was about to get angry at her, but the teacher stopped her. Teacher: To the principal's office. Amity: But... Teacher: (shouting) Right now! Amity jumps off the table and runs, the teacher follows her, and Diana returns to Bosch and Scara. Luz and Willow exchange glances. At the King's. The King is barking commands to his much larger Junior Prince, while simultaneously throwing treats into his mouth. Eda is there, and King asks if she found her two runaway students and declares that he has won, continuing to feed the Junior Prince treats. Ida: (giving up irritably) Yeah, great! You win! You have a huge soldier, and I have nothing. Congratulations! King: Oh, Eda. Don't say that. At least you have this! (He takes out the "Cone of Shame" and grins.) Ida: Oof. (She grabs it and leaves.) The King sends Prince Junior to shake the world, now that his training is complete, but Prince Junior simply stands there. The King notices he's out of treats and winces as Prince Junior's shadow watches him. At Diana's. The scene switches to Diana walking along the school's cyrodors next to Skara and Bosha. Skara: (cautiously asking Diana) Did you overdo it with Amity? Diana: (explaining) She deserved it. First, she behaved terribly in front of her classmates in the cafeteria; second, she was rude to Willow; and third, if it weren't for me, Amity would have broken my sister's arm in a fit of rage, etc. Bosha: (she began) I agree with you. This is too much for Amity. I've never seen her like this before. Skara: (continued) Exactly. Amity is usually better behaved than she is today. Diana: (dryly) In a word, envy. At that moment, one of the students accidentally pushed Diana, and she almost fell, but Bosha quickly grabbed her wrist. Skara appeared in front of Diana, her hands touching her shoulders. They kept Diana from falling to the floor, and her yellow-green eyes under her bangs widened in surprise, her gaze darting from Bosha to Skara and back again. Skara: (concernedly) Are you okay? Diana: (uncertainly for the first time) Mm... yeah, I think so. Bosha removed her hand, as did Skara. Diana: (now confused) But why... did you... do this? I thought... (she's interrupted) Bosha: (looked at her seriously and put her hands on her hips) What did you expect? That Skara and I would stand there and watch you fall. Diana was about to say something, but Skara stopped her. Skara: (extending her hand) Diana, let me fix it, your hood's slipped down a bit. Diana: (trying to stop her) Skara, wait... But Skara quickly removed Diana's hood, and the two witches froze, their eyes widening at the sight of Diana's round ears. Skara: (shocked) Your ears... Bosha: (shocked) You're human... Diana: (carefully) Listen, I can explain everything... (she was rudely interrupted) Bosha's shock turned to anger. Bosha: (raising her voice) Are you human?! And you've been lying to us all this time?! Diana froze in shock, and Skara looked back and forth between Bosha and Diana, unable to decide which side to take. Skara: (thoughts) Maybe she had a reason for lying to us, but Bosha is understandable too. (she thought and worried) Diana: (quickly blurted out) I know, but can I at least take my friend and we can leave here together? (she said) Bosha: (her eyes widened, and she started getting angry again) So Luz isn't your sister. You even lied to us about it, didn't you?! Bosha's words hurt Diana a little, but she hid it well and took a step back. Bosha: (quickly grabbed Skara by the hand) Take your friend and stay out of our sight. They both ran off, and Diana watched them go, then sighed and looked down. Diana: (thoughts) Why is she like this? I had a reason to lie to them, but she didn't give me a chance to explain. And then she ran off with Skara. I even started to trust them a little. (she thought sadly) She put her hood back on and went to look for Luz. At Luz's. Now we're transported to the classroom, where the three of us are relaxing after what happened in the cafeteria. Luz: (climbing out of the cauldron) I'm a nasty little fool. But now we don't have to worry about Amity. Willow: (asking) Luz, why is Diana walking around school with her bangs covering her eyes? She can't see anything. That surprised me from the start. Luz: (she's half-lying) It's just that Diana has really bad eyesight, and she forgot her glasses in our world. Our teacher cast a spell so Diana could see through her bangs, as if she were wearing glasses. (She hoped they'd believe her.) Willow: (sympathetically) Poor thing. I can give her my spare glasses. Luz: (stopping her) No, that's not necessary. She's also shy about showing strangers her very rare eye color and wears colored contacts. But around me or her loved ones, she doesn't hide her real eye color. Gas: (clarifying) If Diana is around a stranger, does she wear contacts over her glasses? Should her glasses frames be bare? Luz nods, and Willow and Gas exchange sympathetic glances, understanding. At that moment, Diana, lost in her thoughts, came to them. Luz: (smiled at first) Diana, you're here. (then the smile faded.) What happened? Diana: (shaking her head) I'll tell you later. Luz: Okay. (extended her hand.) High-five! Diana walked up to her and gave her a high-five, while Willow and Gus looked at them in confusion. Luz: (explaining) Hit my hand. It's a human thing. Gus wanted to do it, but he looked at Diana as if asking her permission, and she smiled and nodded in agreement, which surprised Luz a little, but then she smiled too. Gus: (walks up to Luz and pats her hand) Oh. (does the same) Oh my god. Oh, damn, this is so cool! At that moment, the door opens, and Amity and Principal Bump enter, smirking, while Diana glares at Amity from under her bangs. Diana: (thinking) Why did she even come here? What was she planning? (sighing) Okay, Diana, just pretend to be a good, kind girl. (thinking) Principal Bump: Good afternoon, students. Willow: Principal Bump. Diana: (Crossing her arms modestly.) Hello, Principal Bump. I really enjoyed your school. (She said this with an innocent smile.) All three witches looked at Diana in shock, as if they couldn't believe this was the same Diana they'd met today. Luz dropped to the floor, pretending to be Abomination, but surprise flickered in her brown eyes. Principal Bump: (he looked at Diana with a smile) Glad to hear it. (then looked at Luz) Is this the Willow abomination Miss Amity told me about? Diana: (nods and continues to smile innocently) Yes. Principal Bump walked up to Luz and began examining her, while Diana frowned from under her bangs. Diana: (thoughts) He could have examined my friend a little more gently, not so roughly. (she was slightly displeased) Principal Bump: Abomination, wake up. Luz stood up. Diana: (thoughts) So far, so good. (she thought) Director Bump: Disgust, lie down. Luz: Bad publicity isn't so bad. It's a well-known fact: cats often gnaw on the remains of their owners if they die at home, and the cats can get to them. There's a common American myth about the government using passenger planes to spray chemicals of unknown composition on Amarika territory. Chemtrails are real... Diana giggled, and then her gaze turned serious again under her bangs, but she continued to smile innocently—Diana is a good actress. Principal Bump: (stopping her) No, disgust. How odd that he misunderstood the command. I mean, lie down. (gestures at the table) Luz started sobbing and making her way to the table, and Diana immediately disliked the whole thing, her yellow-green eyes flashing. Principal Bump: So alive. When Miss Amity told me about your disgust, I had to come here to see what it was made of. (he looked at Diana) Miss Diana, would you come over here too so you could see what it was made of? (he invited her) Diana's eyes widened under her bangs, then she clenched her fists painfully, digging her nails into her skin. Then she sighed and forced herself to act like a sweet, good girl again. Diana: (pretending) Of course. She walked up to them, and Willow was about to say something, but Diana stopped her. Diana: (trying to distract him) Oh, Principal Bump. Willow forgot the ingredient list. Maybe I should go get them with you, and we can continue? Willow nodded in agreement and was grateful, and Luz sighed quietly in relief, hoping Principal Bump would listen to Diana. Director Bump: No. We need... He pulls a dagger from his sleeve. Director Bump: To get a closer look. Willow, I'll let you take the first shot. (He handed her the dagger.) At that moment, Diana froze in place, vomit forming in her throat, and an image of a white screen with static flashed through her mind. Diana quickly swallowed the vomit, shook her head, and immediately snatched the dagger from Director Bump. Diana felt a slight headache, or rather, tension, but she pulled herself together. Diana: (dropping pretense) This is too much, old man. (She said this with displeasure and threw the dagger at the wall.) The three witches flinched from the unexpected impact of the dagger, and the director's eyes widened in surprise at Diana's sudden change in demeanor. Director Bump: Diana... (he began) Diana quickly removed her hood, revealing her long gray hair and round ears, shocking Amity and Director Bump. Amity: (shocked) You're human?! (she exclaimed) Principal Bump: (to himself) I wasn't mistaken, she reminded me of Yana and Adrien. But meeting the daughter of a former student of my school would have shocked anyone from the previous generation. (He thought) Gus: Wait, Principal Bump! Everyone looked at Gaz. Gus: Hey, high-five! Gus knocked over three pots of that horrible liquid. The slime spread, and vile creatures appeared on the ground. Willow grabbed Luz, and they ran away, and Diana finally looked at the principal with hatred. Diana: (with hatred) I was wrong about you, old man. You're two or three times worse than Stone. Principal Bump couldn't see the expression in her eyes through her bangs, but he sensed such a cold, hateful aura in her, and her voice was so filled with hatred that it sent shivers down his spine, just like Amity's. Diana ran to catch up with Willow and Luz. Amity: (recovering from shock) They're leaving! Principal Bump: The intruders won't get far. He approaches the wall, draws a large magic circle, and then strikes the wall in its center. Red light draws patterns on the walls and floor, spreading from the magic circle. The scene returns to Diana, who was running through the hallways looking for Willow and Luz. She spots them and runs towards them. Then they turn a corner and stop to catch their breath. Diana turns to Luz and hugs her tightly, and Luz wraps one arm around her waist and places the other on her head. Since Diana's height has changed since the magic seal was released, Luz and Diana will now hug like this. Diana: (clutching her, clutching her sweatshirt) Brown eyes... (she whispered) Luz: (soothing) I'm with you, Seribryanka. I'll always be there. And I'm okay. Diana released her from the embrace and extended her hand, clenching her fist, then they both exchanged fist bumps. Luz and Diana: (imitating an explosion) Bang-da-la-la-la-la./Bang-da-la-la-la-la. (then giggling) Willow watched, smiling tenderly. Willow: (thought) They're like sisters. (she thought) Luz: (remembering something) It's all my fault, Willow. Diana and I just wanted to know what a real magic school was like. Diana: (she looked at Luz) It's not your fault, Brown Eyes. It's all that upstart's fault. If that arrogant, selfish girl had reacted to you as an Abomination, as she should have, our day at this school would have been better. Willow: (asking the girls) So, did you like it? Luz: Actually, it's pretty cool. Diana: (grinning and crossing her arms) It's like I've stepped into Harry Potter's school. All three laughed, and Diana looked surprised at first, then smiled without saying anything. Willow: Okay, we need to get out of here before... Patterns of red lights converge on the walls. When they reach a doorway, a red shield blocks it. Several more doorways are blocked, and the patterns spread throughout the school. Willow: (frightened) Bump's going to seal us in here. At Eda's. We return to the Owl House, where Eda is sulking under her hat of shame. She hears the King's voice and looks up. King: Help me, help me, help me! He runs into the room, slams the door, and, sobbing, throws himself into Eda's arms. The younger prince tries to break down the door. Eda: (grinning) Problem with the apprentice? King: Yes, yes! The knocking on the door continues. Eda: Are you sure you need my help? Maybe they want you to teach a few more of your lessons. The door bursts open, and Prince Junior bursts into the room, roaring. He grabs the King by the tail and rips him out of Eda's hands. He squeals. King: (screaming, pleading) Please, help me! You can call me Mr. Slither! Eda stands up, removes her shameful hat, and grabs her staff. She hits Junior Prince in the face with the staff, causing him to let go of King. Junior Prince retreats, and King clings to Eda's leg. Eda: So, Mr. Creepy. Here's what we're going to do. At Diana's. Diana: (She looks around and sees the hallway is unlocked.) This way! She grabs Luz's hand, and Luz grabs Willow's hand, and the three run that way. As the three friends struggle to reach the exit in time, another obstacle arises. Everyone looks around and sees Bump controlling four creatures and directing them toward them, but the three of them manage to escape. Willow: This is terrible. I don't know what to do. (She sits up and puts her hands on her head.) Amity's right. I'm a half-witch, Willow. Diana: (supporting her) Don't you dare listen to that upstart, she's wrong about you. (She sits down next to her, and so does Luz.) Remember what I told you in the hallway during recess, when Amity was suspicious of you? Willow remembered Diana standing up for her in front of Amity and blushed. Willow: (nodding hesitantly) Uh-huh. You really... thought that about me? Diana: (nodding) Exactly. When Luz and I saw you demonstrate your magical abilities with plants, I immediately realized you were much stronger than you seemed. Luz: (continuing to speak) Someone told me that great witches are very resourceful. She reaches into her pockets. Willow: (happily) That's just what I needed! Luz: (surprised and confused) You mean the slippery ball of mud? Willow: (happily) Luz, it's a seed! I'm so glad you kept it. Diana grinned and said nothing, but was grateful to Eda for the seed. Luz: Yeah. I'm so glad someone told me to keep it. Willow places the seed on her lap and draws a magic circle around it. Willow: (shouting) Please, grow! Thorny vines grow from the seed, reaching the ceiling. The vines dispatch the monsters. The vines reach Principal Bump, lifting him into the air and pinning him to the ceiling. Bump looked down and saw that vines had covered the entire atrium, wrapped around the columns, and stretched from the floor to the very top. Pink petals fell from above, and flowers had blossomed on some of the vines. Principal Bump: (surprised) Amazing. Diana: (thinking) That old man must have changed his mind and will make sure she's in botany class. (she thought) Diana didn't notice the soft pink rose blooming in her hair. They noticed the exit was clear. The three friends were almost to the exit when Amity stopped them. Amity: Not so fast! Diana: (thinking) There she goes again. (thought with displeasure) Amity: (She was angry.) I won't let you get away with this. I want my badge! Diana: (Irritated.) Are you kidding me?! Everyone looks at Diana. Diana: (She slapped her forehead.) Oh my god. You're doing all this for a stupid badge. She walks over and rips the badge off Willow's hood. Diana: It's just a piece of plastic shaped like a star. And you don't deserve it. She crumpled it in her hand and tossed it aside angrily. Diana: (Coldly.) You know what, upstart. I've always told myself, ever since I was a child, that everyone deserves a second chance. (Her yellow-green eyes beneath her bangs were icy.) Even if their souls were rotten, two people had such souls, and they deserved to die. Diana's expression faded. Diana: (Emotionlessly, but her voice was deathly cold.) People like them don't deserve life, nor a second chance to atone for their sins; they will never change. Bump heard this from the ceiling and was surprised to hear Diana's voice. A chill ran down his spine, and he swallowed. Principal Bump: (thinking) She looks so much like her father now, before he met Claudia. (He thought and swallowed again.) Amity's expression turned fearful at these words, her body trembled slightly, then quickly turned to rage, while Willow felt a chill run down her spine, just like Luz's. Luz: (thinking) Who is she talking about? What happened to her six years ago? (She thought in surprise and swallowed.) Amity: (screaming) Abomination, grab it! The Abominations began to approach the three girls. One Abomination approached Diana, who quickly turned to the Abomination and punched it. At that moment, Luz saw one of the Abominations appear behind her, and Luz punched it until all that was left was a puddle. She grabbed Willow's hand, and Diana grabbed Luz's hand and dragged her toward the exit. Amity walked up to the puddle, transformed it into an Abomination, and sent it after them. The three girls ran toward the exit, but were stopped by another Abomination guarding it. Willow saw this, drew a large circle, and hugged herself, causing green magic to glow around her. The vines entangled all the Abominations surrounding them, trapping them. Willow: (with difficulty) You two have to go! Luz: No! I won't abandon you. Willow: I could get detention, and you could get dissected or worse. Willow orders the vine to pick up Luz and Diana and throw them out the door, closing it. Luz: (shouting) Willow! Diana's bangs slipped to the side, revealing her yellow-green eyes. Diana: (putting her hands on her shoulders and hugging Luz from behind) Don't worry, Brown Eyes. I know an old witch who will help your friend. Luz looked at her gratefully, then hinted, and Diana understood, quickly shaking her head, her bangs falling back over her eyes, covering them. They both ran to Eda. At Ida's. We return to the Owl House. Eda is fighting Prince Jr. He spits lava at her, which she easily dodges. She hits him twice in the face with her staff. Prince Jr. retreats to the front door. Meanwhile, King pushes a barrel onto the roof. Ida: Now! Throw the salt! King: Little one! They exchange a quick glance, and King disowns him as his son. Prince Jr. reverts to his small size and runs away. King: (happily) Yes, I did it! I did great! He serves from the roof, and Eda catches the King. King: And you helped too. You're a good teacher. Ida: I hope Diana and Luz think the same. Luz: (shouting) Ida! Diana lets go of her hand so Luz can hug Eda, and Diana walks over to them. Ida: (confused) What's this? I never understood why you do this. Luz: (explaining) Your lesson helped! Leaving the trash in my pocket saved my life! (panicking) But wait. Diana and I have new friends. They're in danger. Willow: (screaming) Girls! The two girls turn around and see Willow and Gus running toward them. They wanted to hug them, but Diana quickly dodged, and Willow and Gus were only able to hug Luz. The two witches looked a little surprised or confused. Diana: (relieved) You're both okay. Willow: (releases Luz from her hug and looks at her understandingly) I'm okay. And I understand everything. You need to get used to me and Gus, and then we can hug and be friends with you and Luz, if you let us. Diana: (She shook her head and smiled.) Gus, Willow, I trust you already. You were both kind to my best friend, you both saved me and Luz, and that's enough. You both deserve to be Luz's friends, but you're right, Willow, I need time before I can consider you two my friends. (Carefully.) I hope that didn't offend you? Gus and Willow looked at each other in surprise, then exchanged glances, smiled at Diana, and nodded. Luz almost burst into tears at Diana's words, but quickly calmed down. Willow: (Remembering something.) Luz, you won't believe it. Everything is wonderful right now! Luz: Right. I won't believe it. Willow: (explaining) Principal Bump was so impressed with my work with plants that he transferred me to the flower magic course! Look! She steps back and snaps her fingers. In a glow of green magic, her sleeves and leggings change color from purple to green. Luz happily leaned toward Willow, hugging her around the neck. They then twirled in an embrace before pulling away. Diana: (thinking) Of course, thank you, but I won't forgive you anytime soon after you tried to dissect my friend, who I consider my little sister. (She thought a little disapprovingly.) Luz and Diana: (simultaneously) What about Amity?/What about Bosha and Scara? Gus: (answering Luz's question) The last time we saw her, she was asking Bump if she could get extra credit for what happened. (then surprised) Diana, why are you suddenly bringing them up? They're Amity's friends, or didn't you know? Diana: (quickly responding) They both seem reasonable to me. Willow: Wait, wait, wait, are you sure you're not mistaken? Scara is much more reasonable than Amity and Bosha. Diana: (she put her hands on her hips) No. Scara and Bosha are more reasonable than that arrogant girl. Or am I wrong? (her voice sounded a little cold) Willow: (gulped) You... you're right. It's your choice, and I won't argue with you about who you hang out with. Diana: Excellent. Luz: (interestedly) So, Bosha and Scara? Those are the two witches you were with? Diana nods in agreement. Luz says she can't wait to see her in action the next time she sneaks inside with Diana, and Gus nervously shows her a banned poster with a photo of Luz in a hood and a photo of Diana, also in a hood. Ida: (happily and proudly) Those are my girls! Willow: (she places her hand on her shoulder) But we could come here and teach you and Diana what we've learned. Diana: Forgive Willow, but I usually learn on my own. (Then she looked at Eda.) But Luz and I have our own special magic teacher. (She said to a surprised Eda.) Ida: Yes, that's right. Luz and Diana are my students. Get lost, you school nerds. (Takes their posters.) Your first wanted poster. Eda patted Luz on the head, saying that she did a great job and taught her something, to which Gus replied that they should pat each other on the palm, and at that moment Willow drew a spell circle in the air and at that moment Diana returned to her normal clothes. Some time later, in the Owl House. The King couldn't remain silent any longer and approached Diana. King: Diana! Diana! I need to tell you something very important. Diana's bangs were pinned back, and she lifted the King into her arms and smiled at him. Diana: (interestedly) So what happened? Ida also approached her. Ida: Diana, can I talk to you? Diana: (looked at Ida) I'll listen to the King first, and then you, okay? Ida nodded, and Luz was in the attic. King: (happily) We had Yana today. Can you imagine? Diana froze in surprise at the King's words and shook her head. Diana: King, please repeat. Who, who was it that visited you today? King: Your mother. Diana: I see. (She quickly turned to Ida.) And more details. (She told her.) Ida: (explaining) She showed up ten minutes after you and Luz went for a walk. Diana lowered the King to the floor and looked at Ida with both seriousness and slight displeasure. Diana: (clarifying) If Luz and I had stayed on the beach for ten minutes, would I have been able to see my biological mother in person? Ida: (nodding hesitantly) Y-yes. Diana: (displeased, hands on hips) Why didn't you stop her, like, to have tea and cookies? (remembering something) Well, wait, my cookies are gone. (she now glares at Ida) Did she even say anything about me? (she said to her) Ida: (nervously) Well, you see... she has a very important mission in the shinobi world, and she... left you a gift and left. Diana: (sighed) And which one? Ida hinted to her to wait, and a minute and a half later she returned with four books in her hands. Ida: (handed her the books) Here, take them. They're from Yana. Diana: (she takes them, surprised) Four books? And what's written on them? Ida: (smiled) You'll find out for yourself. By the way, how was your day at Hexside? Diana: (She looked toward the attic.) Well, at first, everything was fine, but that was until I picked up the flute and started playing. (Then she looked at Ida.) I have no idea, but in Bart's classroom, I smelled the forest and the wind. Ida listened attentively and then said: Ida: So it's already happened. Your chakra has awakened, congratulations. Diana: (At first, surprised.) Chakra? (Now seriously.) Is it related to my biological parents? Ida: Exactly. Remember after you and Luz defeated Adegast, and after I removed the seal from you? Diana: (praising her sarcastically) Thank you for reminding me, you have a remarkable memory for an old woman. Ida: (a little offended) I'm not that old. I'm thirty-seven. Diana put the book on the floor. Diana: Ida, bend over. Ida decided not to argue and bent down a little so Diana could reach it. At that moment, Diana slapped Ida on the back of the head, and she straightened up, scratching her neck. Ida: Ouch. I deserved it. Diana gave the King a final pat on the head, then picked up four books from the floor and went to the attic. In Reverse Falls. In the basement. The camera cuts to a sixteen-year-old boy who looked like this. He had bright blue shoulder-length hair and light blue eyes, his bangs slightly covering his right eye. He wore a dirty, slightly torn gray shirt and matching pants. He had a magical chain on his leg that blocked any magical power, and he was barefoot. He had small cuts on his hands, his feet were bleeding, and a cut on his cheek. This boy's name was Will Cipher, and he was hugging his legs. Tears streamed down his cheeks, and he buried his face in his knees, sobbing quietly. At that moment, the basement door began to open, and Will looked up, then winced. He immediately recognized the person behind those footsteps. The scene shifted to a nineteen-year-old girl who looked like this. She had long brown hair, a black headband with a blue magical stone, and her bangs were neatly styled with a purple clip. She had light blue eyes. She wore a black dress with a white collar, white trim on the sleeves, a dark blue belt with a purple shooting star, and a light purple bracelet on her wrist. She wore black low-heeled shoes with blue gemstones on the straps and white knee-high socks. The girl's name was Mabel, but her real name was Anabel Grifful. Annabelle entered the basement with a cold expression on her face, and Will's eyes were full of fear at that moment, and tears continued to flow down his cheeks. In the world of Alternative England - five days ago. The black screen read, "It was night on the boiling islands, but in Alternative England it was day." The scene cuts to a nineteen-year-old boy in a trench coat. He approaches a funeral parlor and knocks on the door. Continued in Season 1, Episode 4.
