«Descendants». Carlos De Vil. Coronation (#2)

Notes:
Imagine that you are Ben's little sister. *** "No, it doesn't have to be like that!" You've been following your brother around for quite some time now, trying to tell him that bringing Jafar and the Evil Queen and Cruella de Vil and Maleficent's daughter to Auradon is not a good idea. "Y/N sure they can fix themselves," Ben turned to face you, took your hands in his and looked you in the eyes, "do you trust me?" he asked, and when you nodded, he continued, "Then try to believe in them." You just sighed and grumbled: "Okay, if that's how you believe, I'll try too..." *** You didn't get along well with Audrey, Sleeping Beauty's daughter, even though she was Ben's girlfriend. You and the princess fought constantly and tried not to be in the same room for long, for example, during classes you sat at different ends of the classroom and as soon as the bell rang to signal the beginning of the break, you or Audrey tried to quickly leave the room. You were also very reluctant to socialize with other princes and princesses (except your brother, of course), you did not like large groups and preferred to spend time alone. You preferred to sit in your room or outside under a tree and read books, immersing yourself in your own fantasy world. *** When the pledges arrived at the school, they were greeted by the band, and then the Fairy Godmother, your brother with Audrey, and yourself came out. "Welcome to Auradon High," Jane's mother began to chirp. "I'm Ben, and this is Y/N, my sister," Benjamin introduced you to the boys, after the Cinderella Godmother was silent. You waved to them in greeting. Then you and your brother and Aurora's daughter walked the boys around the schoolyard and told them where everything was, and then, without the dark-haired girl, you went into the living quarters, where you handed them over to Doug. Finally, you left, saying that Jay, Mal, Evie, and Carlos could come to you if they needed anything. *** At lunch, you sat apart from Benjamin and Audrey, who didn't take a step away from him, and out of the corner of your eye, you noticed that the newcomers were seated not far from you. You watched them sideways, and then you grinned as Ben approached them. The prince probably wanted to tell them something about the rules, some of which they didn't know yet. *** After a while you seemed to become friends with the four from the Island, at least you thought so. They were weird, but they were teenagers just like you, except the children of villains. You also thought you were in love with Carlos. As the other princesses used to say, "It was like you had butterflies in your stomach, your breath was interrupted at the sight of your lover, and it felt like your heart was about to jump out of your chest." Eventually, you realized your feelings, accepted them, but you were afraid to tell the blond man about them. *** After Ben invited Maleficent's daughter to the coronation, Jay, Evie, and Mal pushed Carlos to invite you to the party. "What makes you think I'm going to invite her?" with a frown, the guy asked. "Because you like her and it shows," Evie answered him for everyone. "You can tell? Oh, well... yeah." *** "Do you want to give it to Mal?" You asked, looking at the ring in the velvet box. "Yes, before the coronation," your brother nodded, "what do you think?" "Go for it," you smiled, patting Ben on the shoulder encouragingly. *** One night before the coronation, when you were already in your room lying on your bed and your roommates hadn't arrived yet, you were distracted by a knock on the door. "Sorry, Y/N, hi," Cruella's son blurted out when he saw you on the doorstep. You stood pillar to pillar for a few seconds before you realized you had to say hello to the guy, too. "Uh... hello?" You said," Did you want something?" "Yes," Carlos nodded affirmatively, and then he exhaled and blurted out, "will you go to the coronation with me?" You looked a little taken aback, because it was an unexpected proposition. "Yes," you said simply, after thinking for a moment, "I'll go with you." *** It was the day of Ben's coronation. Just a little while longer and he would be king of Auradon. The moment Jane snatched her mother's wand and a pillar of light burst out of it, you tried to help Mal retrieve the magical object. "Get back!" Maleficent's daughter shouted, looking at Ben when the wand was in her hands. "Mal, you're good... Why do you want to help the villains get off the Island?" You whispered, raising your hands in a protective gesture. "We have no choice, parents-" the girl began. "Your parents made their choice. Now you make yours," Benjamin said firmly, interrupting his lover. When Mal confessed that Ben was making her truly happy, her mother burst into the room. The villainess began demanding that she give her the Fairy Godmother's wand, and when Mal disobeyed, she took it, and also the ring your brother gave her during the carriage ride, by force. But the girl, along with her friends, managed to defeat Maleficent and she shrank in size to the amount of love in her heart. When it was over, you turned to Carlos, who was standing as a pillar behind your back. You held out your hand to him, and when your hands touched, he squeezed yours back, smiling faintly. Belle and Adam apologized to Mal for not believing in her and her friends. They hugged Evie and Mal, shook hands with the boys, and the King Beast also clapped them on the shoulder. Taking Carlos aside, your father leaned over to Cruella's son and whispered to him: "Just be there for her. She literally blossoms when she sees you," he smiled at the shocked boy and stepped back to his wife. Ben smiled broadly and sincerely as he looked at you and Carlos. He knew this guy could make you happy as hell.
