Chapter 8

“I didn’t crash into your mom; she was going way too slow, and this is Germany.”
The same old man who was in the elevator with Iris shows up at the door. When the man showed up, she, for some reason, moved closer to Nico, and Nico let her. The old man got closer to Iris, and Nico stood up. Nico stood in front of Iris protecting her from this man, because Nico could obviously see that she was uncomfortable with this old man, even though they didn’t like each other, he would still protect her.
Nico had his jaw clenched and said, “What do you want?” He said through clenched teeth.
The old man looked at Iris and grinned all the way up to his eyes, eyeing her like a dog ready to be adopted. The old man said, “Her.”
Nico was clenching his jaw so tight his teeth could break, and he said, “You don’t get her.” Nico stepped more in front of Iris to block this old man’s view of Iris.
“Move”, the old man frustrated now that he can’t see Iris anymore.
Nico was taller than the man, and he looked down at him, and he was basically seeing red. Nico said to the man, “Hell no, you can obviously see that she doesn’t want you to look at her, so no, I’m not moving.”
The old man gets fed up and punches Nico pretty hard. When the man punches Nico, his head goes to the side, and Nico just gets angrier. Nico’s lip starts to bleed, and even though Iris doesn’t really like Nico, she still gets worried about Nico, and Iris doesn’t know if she needs to intervene or not before it gets worse.
Nico’s jaw clenches even harder, and he looks at the old man and says, “Bad move, dumbass.”
The old man punched Nico again, but this time, Nico was ready for it, and he grabbed the man’s arm before the man’s hand connected with his face. When Nico grabbed the man’s arm, Iris got more worried. Nico twisted the man's arm to make it hurt, and Iris stepped closer to Nico.
Iris looked at Nico and said, “Nico, please calm down. This is going too far.”
Nico shot a glance at Iris, and Iris looked back at him with pleading eyes.
