Chapter two

Okay then:Recently in time, a family in the fairy kingdom heard about the Seven Deadly Sins. Or more specifically, the regrouping of them. The Sin of wrath, along with a human girl, were recruiting everyone once more. Word was quite slow to spread, however it was fast enough for six fairy children to find out the news. And news it was, exciting enough to be taken up to their parents.Their younger father was the first to be told. He was only a little shocked at first, however the children can tell how happy he becomes when he processes everything. Soon after, their older father is told the same news. He doesn’t care. However within no time at all the whole family sets out, leaving their aunt to watch over the fairy people. But the children are just so excited! They hardly ever leave their home, the exception being years ago when they had to relocate. Still, this is a very different situation and they’re very happy about that. Both of their parents seem at least a little happy too since they’re even going. However, absolutely none of the kids expect to meet a perverted blond, a white haired beauty, a talking pig, or a giant.___“That’s not true! I said we were gonna find the Sins! They just didn’t believe me, daddy!”“Nuh uh! You didn’t say anything abou-”“Yes I did!”“No you didn’t!”“Stop lying!”“Both of you stop arguing!”“No you!”“Shut up, meat wad!”“You’re such a jerk-”“Says you-”A sigh escapes Ban's tired husband. “Let him finish the story, guys. Your father’s stupid and probably isn’t remembering everything right so don’t believe everything he says.”Ban snorts, yet also pulls an offended look. A raise of an eyebrow and a dark stare has him backing down immediately.“Alright, now where was I again..?”___The only two sisters of the fairy siblings are thankfully kept out of the filthy hands of the blond sin when arriving. Instead, they and their brothers focus almost solely on the giant. She doesn’t mind them at all, letting them fly and climb all around her. Not for long however. The kids aren’t all too sure what transpires between their parents or the sin of wrath, but it's something upsetting they’re sure. The pretty human lady becomes sad and everyone starts to argue. Thus, they leave far too quickly than any of them were wanting. This doesn’t mean the family’s travels were over though. Instead, they headed towards any town their young father had been to, or just really neat looking places. For the most part, they were quite fun too. Not many humans questioned their wings or why so many of their species were wandering around. The kids' only regret may have been not bringing their aunt. Or friends. Or really any other fairy that probably would have enjoyed this adventure as much as they did. But it was a family adventure anyways, so only their aunt would have had any real chance of coming. So the kids were fine other than those lingering thoughts. Until of course they all returned home, then they felt bad. Almost selfish. No one but their family seems to have the opportunity to see the world outside of their forest, so of course they should feel terrible.___Ban gets a lot of solemn nods. Honestly, he can sympathize. He loves a good adventure but trying to imagine not taking his dear king or even his sister-in-law would just seem criminal.“Ah~but at least you considered bringing others, hm?” he says with a smile. His children look at him with wide but happy eyes. So he decides to continue.___As it turned out though, that was the least of their problems. Their tiny father gets migraines unlike anything they’ve seen before. Their aunt starts worrying around so much that everyone gets scared. And their younger father…well, he somehow becomes quiet. It’s such an eerie situation that the poor children get concerned. Enough to sneak out of the forest and fly for the only people who they think can help. They were some of the few things that could have possibly troubled their parents so, and it was their hope that these strangers could fix whatever problem they caused. It was also quite amusing, the reaction they got. From everyone. The gathered Sins are shocked at the six children’s arrival. The perverted leader thinks they got lost. His female human becomes concerned if they were in trouble. The pick thought they came back to eat him. And the giant…gets both happy and angry. Before the kids can even discuss the trouble back home, all four people begin to talk, specifically about their young father and aunt. It’s hardly any surprise to the fairy children, after all they’ve been around long before the Seven Deadly Sins even banned together. They know who in their family holds the positions of Sloth and Greed. It’s why their parents started their travel in the first place. But it seems these people weren’t happy with Sloth being left back at the fairy kingdom- which they had no idea she was a part of in the first place- while her brother came instead.___The fairy king, along with a few of his children, groan in anger.“It was so rude!” he says, squeezing his pillo- ehem, weapon.Ban can completely, and full heartedly agree.___At least they had the decency to worry when the kids DID get to explaining their worries. All four agreed to try and apologize for any problems their frustration caused to the kids’ parents. Yet halfway through the trip to the fairy kingdom, they were met with their fathers and aunt, along with some other family friends. The kids are in for an earful, but they are saved when everyone’s trouble with the whole situation becomes apparent. It’s awkward, mostly for the sake that the children weren’t really focused on the adults began talking about. Instead they just played around with the pig and some of the older fairies who came along. Yet when everyone finished, all seemed right. Sure, their oldest father had a slight melancholy look on his cute face, but he was also smiling. And the best part was when they all announced their agreement to work together. Their parents and their aunt would help reunite the rest of the Sins, if only for a little while. The six fairies did get grumpy when they heard the requirements though. All of them were to be sent back home with the rest of the fairies and wait for their family to return.___Ban gives a long pause when six cute eyes glare at him.Luckily, his husband comes to the rescue like always. “Back down. You all know neither of us would have agreed otherwise. You’re all strong, just not enough to have faced off against a kingdom of magical knights.”Ban nods.“Yes, thank you, Harley~”___Sadly, they were indeed sent back while the fairy king, the Sin of greed, and the Sin of sloth all stayed back to fight and explore. Even being fairies, it seemed like decades may have passed while they waited. It really may have only been months, but their parents and aunt did return. Their cute father even grew out a beautiful pair of blue wings! All fairies rejoiced, especially the family. It doesn’t matter if the kids were adopted, nor does it matter that one of their fathers was an immortal human. It makes them all happy to be together once again. And…upon closer inspection from the kids, it seems a much smaller and non-magical child will be joining as well. It gives their parents even more of a reason to explain themselves and recount all the horrors of their journey.Dolls, demons, mages; so many interesting aspects of the adventure awe the children. Though, something does come as a shock when they hear of it.As it turns out, the very reason their tiny father got so bad at the beginning of things was because he apparently knew the pretty giant the kids had climbed on. She doesn’t remember her, and everyone plans to keep it that way, but their father states he proposed a marriage to her centuries ago. He regrets not keeping a promise like that, especially with all the times him and his sister switch out between guarding the fairy forest. Yet, he is also relieved. The fact she’s alive is good enough for him. Instead of trying to reconnect them once more, he’ll stay with his current family. The fairy king’s husband and children is all he needs.___Finishing his tale, Ban stretches. His kids seem content, even the newest edition that they picked up.Ah, but now he needs a drink of water from all that talking. Standing, Ban pats a few heads before heading to the kitchen. His cute little fairy of a husband follows him, though with a much lazier pace.“Hhm~ you always tell your stories so well,” he yawns out with a smirk. Ban smiles back gleefully.Reaching for a glass to fill, he keeps in mind the children- albeit, older than he himself is- that wait in the bedroom. The past few nights he’s been recounting so many memories that he honestly feels just the slightest bit light headed. The water at least helps with that too when he drinks it in vigor. It may not be ale or wine, but he can appreciate it anyways.Small arms hug his neck and he gladly leans back.“Thanks, Ban.”He blinks and turns his head just the slightest to look in amber eyes. “Oh, what for?”Eyes roll, but only ever cutely like always. “For getting the brats to calm down the past few nights, dummy. And I guess also for making everything seem better than it really was at those moments.”Ban turns around with a smile and hugs the soft, cuddly fairy into his arms, though minding the wings on his back.“Of course, Harley~ Anything for you and them.”The End
