Notes:
I am very new to this whole "writing fanfiction" business, so please don't be too harsh. That said, I would love some constructive criticism to help improve my writing!

If you see any spelling mistakes or a word that just doesn't fit, please point it out so I can fix it.
I didn't really have a plan for this, just an idea that kept me up at night, anyway, enough of the rambling! Onto the fanfiction!
The last thing you recall is the piercing wails of police sirens after a failed mugging. You wonder if you've ended up in the hospital. Something seems wrong, you can't put your finger on it though...
You open your eyes.
"Well that's not right," you think to yourself.
The first thing you see is blue, the second is grey, and the third is a block? Why a block? Real life doesn't have natural blocks! You try to look around a little more, but you're having troubles moving your body.
Why is that? You don't feel anything terribly wrong. Well, maybe just a little off. You tilt your head to look at your hands.
Those... those are not your hands,"Oh no," is all you can think to yourself.
You feel your panic rising.
You give your head a shake to clear the thoughts. You can't start panicking,"Now let's think about this clearly," you thought. "I'm somewhere strange... after a possibly deadly thing happened... I don't have my hands... and everything looks pixelated... Ah ha!" you exclaimed, though nothing came out but a squeak. "I have been Isekaied, without the truck-sama! I didn't know that was possible," you mull over that for a bit.
The real question is, where have you been isekaied to? You take one more glance around. 'What place is blocky and pixelated,' one may ask.
"Why, it must be Terraria!" you thought excitedly.
You finally notice that you're in a liquid, most likely water, and try to move your uncooperative limbs. You flail around until you somewhat get the hang of it and go up.
"Finally," you think as you break the surface of the water, "air". You gasp, as breathing air surprises your lungs. "Well at least I know why talking doesn't work now," you think petulantly.
If you could form a pout on your face, you would. Back under water, you decide that jumping high above the water would suffice to see your surroundings. Up you go, holding your breath.
If anyone were to witness the event of an axolotl jumping up into the air like a fish, they would've busted their knee laughing like madman.
Luckily, no one was there. You look around your new home. It's a cave, correction, a ginormous ๐ญ๐ถ๐ด๐ฉ cave.
"Well," you think slowly, "it's not Terraria, that's for sure."
At the peak of your jump, you see the glow berries shine with a golden hue, as the spore blossoms give off their green pollen that falls gently, and lava flow slowly down into a seemingly never ending pit. You are in awe, it was beautiful to see. You're in a large ledge, high above the wondrous cave. Your ledge spreads wide and deep, filled with water, moss, and clay.
Then, your falling. "Oh yeah, I jumped didn't I," you think as you try to close your eyes.
๐ ๐ฐ๐ถ ๐ฎ๐ช๐ด๐ด ๐บ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ณ ๐ง๐ข๐ฎ๐ช๐ญ๐บ... you hit the water with a mighty slap.
Just like that, the bad thoughts went away. You're excited to learn your new body and surroundings.

Ugh! You've been at it for weeks now and you haven't found a single soul in this god forsaken cave, you're fuming. The only things you've encountered are zombies, skeletons, and the occasional spider or creeper- luckily they don't attack you. You haven't found any glow squids or other axolotls.
Oh yeah, you forgot to mention, you found out you're an axolotl. A brown one to be specific, not even a pretty color! You're a little peeved about it, to be honest.
You've also found out that you can be out of the water for about an hour before taking damage, and you can also take damage. The good thing is that there ๐ข๐ณ๐ฆ fish in the waters of this cave to eat, and the occasional glow berry that fell, to recover health. You, surprisingly, have seven hearts and a hunger bar. It's a little weird.
You got bored with in the first couple days after figuring out how to do things. You're now craving affection or attention from anything at this point, you're so ๐ญ๐ฐ๐ฏ๐ฆ๐ญ๐บ.

Another month went by. You aren't sure if you can last much longer. You've grown tired of the cave you dwell, and nothing here offers companionship.
You think you might be going crazy. You hear taps on the stone above without anything being near, you hear 'pop' sounds when there aren't magma blocks or soul sand around, and the most disturbing thing, you hear steps being taken. They aren't the familiar squishy limp of a zombie, or the clacking of a skeleton, nor is it the scuttle of a spider, and it can't be the strange gait of a creeper. It's made by two feet, two ๐ถ๐ฏ๐ง๐ข๐ฎ๐ช๐ญ๐ช๐ข๐ณ feet, and that scares you.
You don't know what to do. Every day for the past week it's the tapping on stone and popping sound, it's the strange new footsteps that are getting closer.
You don't know. So you do nothing.
--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--
Three days have gone by. The tapping continues..
--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--
Two more days, the popping persists...
--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--
One more, the walking becomes familiar...
--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--
--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--
...
. . .
...
--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--
You go slow on land, but you push yourself as fast as you can. "Let's take out the biggest threats first," you think, the creepers and skeletons
You get to a creeper first, hoping it won't blow up. You attack it with your teeth, they're small so you're not sure how much damage is done each time. It doesn't seem to acknowledge you, good.
It takes a lot of hits for it to disappear, not as many as you thought you'd do, but still not good. Ten hits, the creeper is gone. "It could be worse, I could only be doing half a heart each hit," you think despairingly.
Three more creepers to go, nasty tasting things...
--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--
It feels like it's been hours, you finally got all the creepers and a few skeletons. Steve's doing much better than you, no surprise there, and the two of you are slowly picking off the mobs. Every so often you go back to the water to keep from taking damage.
--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--
Steve notices the lack if creepers and the slow decrease of arrows. He looks around and sees a small, brown, axolotl biting a spider's leg. The spider ignores the axolotl and continues on its path towards him. He catches more glimpses of his new friend throughout the fight. He sees you biting a baby zombie, he sees you gnawing on a skeleton's arm, he even sees you throw an arrow off course as you slowly take another skeleton down.
Steve is glad to have you by his side as he faces the terrifying monsters that don't get less scary with time. He thinks he'll take you home if you both survive this.
--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--
After what seemed like forever, Steve killed the last skeleton. Finally, it's over. You're very tired and you know you'll start taking damage soon. You make your way across the floor to the water.
"Hey," you look up. It was Steve. He waves at you, you wave your tail back. You finally got to the water. Ah, sweet sweet water, never appreciated until without.
You look up once again as you hear footsteps getting closer. It's Steve, and he has a bucket. You tilt your head at him. Steve grins and holds the bucket out in question with a head tilt of his own.
It's strange, you never thought he'd actually take you. You give a nod. You watch as Steve swipes his hand at you. You're now in his hand, and you can see things! It's not uncomfortable to be in the weirdly small bucket, and you've always wanted to see what it was like to be in an inventory.
--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--
You're in a pool of unfamiliar water, no longer in your cave. That was not what you were expecting. He changed items and it was like you were frozen in time, only for light to blind you when he opened his inventory.
Anyway, you're now in a 5x5x6 pool of water. There's clay, moss, dirt, stone, and water plants in it. You have the pool and a small area you can crawl around in if you want. Steve comes by every day to feed you and keep you company.
You wish you had the ability to communicate to Steve in English, sadly you don't have the parts for it.
Still, you're happy to finally have the companionship that you've been craving... and you only had to fight a wave of monsters to get it, figures.

End!
