There will be a fire!

Again, I had to suffer for a long time to write the next chapter about a hedgehog from another reality. I hope Iβll have better luck with the next chapter about alternative Sonic and Iβll get through it faster?
A white hedgehog using psychokinesis flew around a beautiful metropolis. With the help of his new vision, he looked around, trying to find the fragment, but he saw only many townspeople living quietly inside each apartment of each building. Suddenly, his new vision took on a light green, not very strong glow, like night vision mode.
β This new vision... Iβll never get used to it... Maybe thereβs danger somewhere nearby? Or maybe this means that the fragment is somewhere nearby? β he spoke to himself, but he was so chatty that he did not notice how something pounced on him from the side and hit him so hard that he flew to the wall of one of the buildings, crashed into it and slowly, as if tape had peeled off, fell on elongated roof. Trying to get up, he thought out loud: β No... I was right. Well, I found it!
He looked around to see who had attacked him and saw nothing. Because of this, he saw that one of the buildings was on fire. The fifty-third floor in one of the apartments has a small fire that is slowly spreading. From this very floor came shouts:
β HELP!!! WE HAVE A FIRE!!!
Silver did not stand by and decided to rush to help, fortunately the keeper did not forbid him to do this. Having rushed inside, knocking out one of the windows with his feet, he looked around the burning apartment, but not a single soul was inside. Using his new vision, he noticed that the residents of this floor had managed to escape, and some had even notified their neighbors. True, one of them still remained on the floor and is hiding somewhere, hoping that the fire will not find him here. This was a five-year-old child who was very afraid of fire and even cried. Silver, flying with psychokinesis, flew to that closet and opened it. The boy twitched in convulsions and was afraid to leave the shelter.
β Do not be afraid of me! Come here! β he tells him and the boy jumps into the hedgehogβs arms, pressing his head against his shoulder and continuing to cry from fear. Silver immediately wanted to fly through the window to immediately leave the building, but Blaze the cat stood in the way. Only Silver didnβt recognize her. She looked completely different from how he remembered her. For some reason, she was angry and looked at him menacingly, continuing to shoot fiery flames outward from her hands, while she herself was not covered in flames and did not burn, because she herself was not afraid of fire and could control it. β Blaze?... What's going on?...
But the cat didnβt answer him. She just looked threateningly and walked away. Judging by the way she glowed with a green glow, which Silver saw in her thanks to his new vision, he realized that she may have found the fragment first and apparently accidentally absorbed its power, and he changed her character, making her so angry and fearless. Without thinking about it further, the hedgehog jumps off with the child in his arms and lands down in flight, after which he hands the son over to his long-sleeping parent. He then flew back into the building.
β Thank you, Silver! β the childβs mother shouted to him.
In response, Silver simply waved his hand and flew back through the hole in the window into the burning building. When he was back inside, Blaze herself was gone. He looked around and ran into the corridor, trying to find the princess.
β Blaze!... Blaze, are you here?...
The cat itself did not respond. In response, only a fireball flew from the hedgehogβs back.
β βDUCK!!!β β the keeper shouted and Silver obediently bent down. The fireball flew past him and crashed into the wall, creating another small fire on the floor. Silver turned around and saw her again behind the railing on the floor above. She looked at him very angrily and with malice.
β WHAT IS THE WAY WITH YOU, BLAZE??? WHY DID YOU ATTACK ME??? β the white hedgehog shouted, not understanding anything. The cat did not answer anything, enveloped itself in even greater flames and shot a large stream of fire at the hedgehog, as if from a flamethrower. Silver managed to escape the fire by jumping into a nearby empty apartment. The cat, shrouded in a large flame of fire, followed him there with slow and terrifying steps. The eyes were no longer golden yellow, like Silverβs, but scary and bloody red, like Shadowβs. β Damn... Blaze?
The cat, standing still, was silent for a minute and only then answered in a terrible voice:
β Blaze canβt hear you anymore, you naive fool.
Silver didn't recognize his best friend and was almost scared. The cat raised her arms to the top and extended them sharply forward, splashing out a huge fiery breath. Using psychokinesis, Silver was able to form a protective field around himself, which did not allow fiery flames to pass to him. The cat ran up and with one blow from her right foot threw the hedgehog against the closet, destroying it and covering it with the remains of the psychokinetic agent. Through a short and quiet groan of pain, he tried to get up. He definitely didn't want to fight her, but for some reason she wants to kill him.
Blaze walked up, grabbed the hedgehog by the throat and threw him against the wall, collapsing it and leaving a hole in the wall through which the hedgehog walked into the corridor. There he was already trying to quickly get up. The cat jumped over the hole after him and again prepared to splash out more fire. With the last of his strength, Silver managed to stretch his arms forward and grab her with his psychokinesis in order to immobilize her. Blaze pushed through her teeth and tried to free herself and move, but psychokinetics held her tightly with his abilities and did not let go.
β Blaze, finally explain to me. What's wrong with you? Why did you set this building on fire? Why did you attack me? WHY??? β he shouted at her almost through tears, the cat could not free herself and had to answer:
β I donβt care about this whole city and you, you naive bastard. You can only trust everyone and everyone left and right. I never trust anyone until I myself try to make sure whether a person is lying or not. And I always work alone. I like to be alone and I don't need anyone.
Suddenly it dawned on Silver:
β You're not Blaze!... Blaze would never say anything like that. I wouldn't even think about it.
β Yes? You have always been a naive fool and you always will be. β she answered him rudely. Silver was even more convinced that it was not Blaze. Of course, she sometimes called him naive, but she never insulted him for it.
The hedgehog suddenly decided to try out his new vision on her, because something in his head told him to do this, like intuition. The whole world turned out to be black and white and translucent. Even Blaze herself, whom he held with psychokinesis. He noticed that Blaze was glowing red all over. She must have found a shard of the tablet and it is glowing inside her. Now he understood everything. It was the fragment that made her like this and released all her negative qualities.
β Let me go now, you freak, Iβm a princess. I order you to let me go immediately!
β Sorry, Blaze, but I can't. I must do what I was sent here to do. β the hedgehog answered and sharply turned both hands to the right, after which Blaze, enveloped in a blue aura, flew to the left and crashed face first into the wall.
Silver turned his hands to the left and the cat was sharply pulled back, crashing into another wall with its back. The hedgehog then pulled up and down, and Blaze hit the ceiling and slumped to the floor. The hedgehog used psychokinesis to pick up a wooden table from a neighboring apartment and threw it at Blaze. Having crashed into it, it broke, and the cat, while trying to get to its feet, fell to the floor. The cat immediately changed her anger to a sour expression and showed tears in her eyes, almost crying:
β Why are you throwing yourself at me? β she asked him, then covered her eyes with her hands and cried loudly.
The hedgehog did not understand her. She cries and doesn't even resist? Maybe that kind Blaze had already taken over the body and he came up to her to help. But as soon as Stlver approached her, the crying gave way to laughter, and a grin appeared on his face.
β Fool! β she whispered to him and splashed out a large wave of fire, which slightly enveloped Silver and threw him back away from the cat. Now all its white needles and fur have turned dark gray, like burnt soot. β You always believe everything and everyone, trying to think about others and help others. It would be better if you thought about myself at least once!
Silver did not want to give up and tried to get up through clenched teeth. The princess again splashed flame on him, but the psychokineticist managed to call the torn iron lid from the safe to himself and protected himself from the flame. When the cat ran up to him to hit him, the hedgehog pushed away the safe lid and threw it away from itself with one blow. The cat, however, still stood on her feet and looked angrily at the hedgehog.
β I donβt want to fight with you, Blaze, but you forced me to do it. β he said and with his left palm he beckoned her to him first, almost like a gentleman.
The princess ran up and tried to hit, but the hedgehog dodged and even jumped over when she tried to grab his legs with her tail while spinning. In an instant, he grabbed her hand, clenched into a fist, twisted it around him, threw it over him, hitting her head on the chair, thereby breaking it, and then picked up a hanger and hit the cat on the back with it as if with a stick. The latter began to cry and moan again:
β How could you, Silver? I'm a weak woman.
β Are you trying to lure me into a trap again? You can't fool it twice! β he answered her and enveloped her in a blue aura, lifting her up and again starting to hit her against the walls. With each blow, he heard her cry out in pain. It was painful for him to do this to her, but for some reason the fragment of the tablet did not come out of her. At one point he threw her into the next room and left her there for now.
β I can't... I can't kill her. β he said out loud to himself, almost crying. β Watchguardian, what am I doing wrong to get the fragment? Give me a sign!
β βNot everything can be solved with fists, strength and a fight. Sometimes you need to be able to defeat your enemies with words.β β answered Watchguardian in Silverβs head, and he seemed to understand what he was hinting at. He ran into the room where Blaze, becoming even more angry, stood up and enveloped herself in huge plates of fire. β Wait! Listen to me! I don't want to hurt you, I just want to help you.
β You can't help me. I don't need anyone's help. I'm fine as it is. β the cat blatantly denied her problems.
β Okay, okay, you're right. We are all nothing compared to you. And I really am a naive fool, since I trust everything without thinking first. I admit all this, but donβt ruin everyone! No one is to blame for anything.
β No, itβs my fault. But I wonβt say what. Because it's none of your business. You know nothing about me and your pleas for help and confession of what I accuse you of will not save you. β the cat hissed and hit the floor with both hands, engulfing the entire floor in the room in fire. She herself, without fear of getting burned, calmly walked along the floor, and the hedgehog flew back using psychokinesis and hid in the corridor.
β βThis time I tried to solve everything with words, and not with a fight. What did I do wrong again? β he thought to himself.
β βDonβt listen to all the rudeness she says towards you. Direct it against herself!β β answered the keeper.
β How long are you going to hide, coward? β the cat grinned and laughed villainously.
β Perhaps yes. Iβm a coward and Iβm proud of it, but you, as I understand it, are too brave and get into a fight without thinking, like a fool. β Silver began to irritate Blaze, so that she herself would emit all the anger. And strangely enough, it worked. The cat became even more angry from such an insult and hissed through her teeth.
β You will swallow these words from me. β she said and threw a fireball into the corner where the hedgehog was hiding, but he managed to bounce back behind another. The cat threw fireballs all the time and missed, and the hedgehog only deliberately teased her about this:
β Na, na. Nana-na-a. You won't get me.
β SHUT UP!!! β the cat screamed and released a bunch of fire from herself.
β You're slowing down again! β he whispered in her ear and flew up through the hole in the ceiling. Blaze jumped after him, and the latter showed her his writhing grimaces and showed her his butt. The cat breathed through her nostrils and teeth, looking at this and became even angrier. Suddenly the eyes flashed red and a haze came out of the eyes.
β S... To... P... M... E... ANGRY-Y-Y-Y-Y-Y-Y!!! β she shouted at the top of her lungs, clenching her hands into fists. An even larger flame formed around her, which enveloped the entire corridor. Now the building was burning even bigger and stronger. The cat itself inhaled and fell to the floor, beginning to catch its breath. At this time, a haze was emanating from the whole body, and a red light was blinking on the chest.
β Admit it! I'm better than you, and you're a loser. β he said mockingly for the last time, so that the fragment would still break out. The cat tried to let out even more anger, but for one moment she got tired and fell down again, and a stone piece appeared from her chest through the glow.
Silver once again embraced the cat's psychokinesis. He tried to pull out his left hand with all his might, and pulled his right hand, thereby trying to pull out a fragment of the tablet from the princess. The latter screamed in pain, as if her heart was being torn out of her chest. Having pulled out the fragment, Silver slowly lowered Blaze to the floor and let her catch her breath. The fragment producing a red glow and haze ended up in Silver's hand. After examining it, he hid it in the needles on his head, after which he ran up to the cat and tried to help her.
β Blaze! How are you?
β What? Silver? What happened? Where are we? - She didnβt understand and looked around. There was fire everywhere. The building suddenly began to fall apart.
β Iβll explain everything to you later, you need to save yourself. β the hedgehog answered, enveloped her in his aura and they flew out like a bullet through the broken window into the street. They landed on the roof of one of the calm buildings and Blaze looked at the building they flew from. It was still burning. Suddenly Blaze began to remember what happened to her and realizing what she had done, she fell to the floor and grabbed her head.
β Did I really do this? β she asked herself and only now noticed that her friend was covered in soot. Which means she probably wounded him with her fire too. β Silver, forgive me. I myself donβt know what happened to me.
β It's okay, Blaze. Now you are in control again. It's not your fault. That fragment is to blame for everything. β Silver explained and showed it. β Do you happen to remember where you found it?β
β I... You see... I was walking along the rooftops, not bothering anyone... Suddenly I noticed some kind of glow and it attracted me to it because from it some voice was calling me by name and asking me to me to help him. When I sorted through the rubble and found this among them, I had just picked it up when its red glow engulfed my hand, then my head and... And then darkness. I already remembered a little of these events when you freed me. It seems that the memories from my evil self are preserved in my head. β she explained and looking at her hands, she sadly looked at the light in her hand. β I never wanted harm, death, or even insult to anyone. I didnβt even want to use this power for evil and destruction... But this rubbish forced me. Now I donβt know if people will forgive me for this?... Should I even leave?
β Don't say that, Blaze. We'll sort this out. Let's go out together and explain everything to everyone as it happened. I'm sure no one will suspect you in that fire. β Silver dissuaded her. Without thinking twice, the cat decided to listen to him and decided to jump from the roof to the rest of the people with the firefighters, who were already finishing putting out the fire of the destroyed building. β Blaze! β he turned to her again with excitement and she looked at him with wariness. β Youβre not offended by me because I beat you and insulted you in the end?
The cat, of course, understood him perfectly well that he was thereby trying to save her, and not kill or insult her in all seriousness. She just smiled in response and hugged the hedgehog, after which she also asked:
β Arenβt you offended by me?
β Of course not. I know that you would never say anything so rude to me, much less kill me. β answered Silver.
β Thank you. I love you too. β the cat smiled again, wiped away her tears, took his hand and together they slowly descended from the roof.
Let's be sure that in this reality, Silver and Blaze will try to resolve this issue with the fire and exonerate Blaze. Moreover, Silver in this reality was still able to get one fragment and at the same time he saved his kind and faithful friend from her evil and completely negative version of herself. And how did the alternative version of Sonic the Hedgehog act at the same time?
