I had nightmares all night. I woke up several times. Either I was chased by a huge sticky one-eyed entity while I was running through the forest, stumbling, or I was devoured by a three-headed, seven-armed giant. And I felt it.
I hope this doesn’t happen in reality.
I woke up when the sun had already risen. Slowly, listening to the sounds and afraid to see a monster around the corner, I walked into the kitchen. He cooked scrambled eggs and sat down at the table.
What happened yesterday seemed like a dream. I assumed it was a hallucination and I was just tired.
Immediately I pulled myself together. The word “hallucination” confused me. Perhaps I inhaled some substance dissolved in the air. And perhaps I’m still in my house, all the people are there.
Maybe I’m in a coma?
If this is truly a coma, then everything that happens is understandable. Overstrain at work took its toll. But what brought me to the coma? I didn’t have an accident, I wasn’t injured! Nothing special happened to me! I just came home and went to bed. What if a burglar broke into our house at night and shot me? Why does he need this?
The plate is empty. I snapped out of my thoughts, stood up and washed the dishes.
I went outside, having previously put on my headphones.
After walking for ten minutes and not hearing a howl, I was about to take them off when I heard some noise. It was as if someone was walking through crunchy snow with sound amplifiers attached to their boots.
Although the headphones were closed from the noise, the sound still passed through. I even covered my ears, but it didn’t help.
Having reached the house in a few minutes, I closed the door tightly. The noise stopped immediately. I breathed a sigh of relief.
Apparently this world doesn’t want me to go outside.
I went into the living room again. I was afraid to turn on the TV.
I got bored of sitting aimlessly and went to the bathroom, remembering that I forgot to take a shower yesterday.
But before I had time to undress, my gaze slid into the bath, and my legs gave way. At the bottom lay that sticky, vile creature from the dream, albeit of a smaller size.
Realizing that he had been noticed, IT began to rise. I wanted to run away, but I couldn’t take a step.
IT slowly crawled towards me, apparently reveling in my fear. I tried to think about something, to distract myself, but not a single thought wanted to enter my consciousness. I could only watch in silence.
The creature crawled onto me, leaving sticky greenish mucus on my body.
IT stopped opposite me, looking into mine with its eye. Everything inside shrank. Now IT will open its mouth and…
And so it happened. Was it a mouth, or was IT all fangs? I didn’t have time for these thoughts.
The distance between my face and the monster’s fangs was small — 3-4 centimeters. I prepared to die, but IT was missing.
Not knowing whether to rejoice at the deliverance, I slid down the wall. Was this a hallucination? There was no mucus on me, but the animal fear remained. I reminded myself of the dream again. That creature was there too.
Do dreams turn into reality?
I hoped not. But this was hardly a coincidence. My brain helpfully suggested the second part of the dream, where I was devoured by a three-headed, seven-armed giant. Should I have waited for him?
Perhaps my dreams predict the coming day for me. “I shouldn’t have gone to the bathroom” flashed through my head.
I thought about it. I was thinking about a solution to my problem. I saw a slimy creature in my dream and found it in the bathroom… It makes sense. Where can I meet a giant? It’s huge, which means I can’t go outside. Today, at least.
Where in the house can you meet a giant? The bathroom is no longer needed. What remains is the bedroom, kitchen and living room. The werewolf attacked me in the living room, he crawled out of the TV. So, kitchen or bedroom.
It’s noon. I’ll try to do without food. I hope the giant doesn’t come into the bedroom. But you can also sleep on the sofa…
It’s like paranoia.
I went into the living room and collapsed on the sofa, turning on the TV. Today the channel “Architecture” was working. They showed the construction of some tall building. And then they hint at a monster. So he will definitely come.
It was already getting dark. I naively thought that danger would pass me by, but I was wrong. At about six o’clock, somewhere far away, a roar was heard on the street. I tensed up. A minute later, the house shook from the weight of the steps of the monster running towards it.
I jumped up and ran to the bedroom. I wanted to hide, but there was nowhere. I was rushing about when I suddenly looked out the window… A huge eye was looking at me from there. For the entire window. I imagined what size its owner could be…
The walls began to crack. I didn’t immediately understand what was happening, but I realized that the giant had torn off the roof. Like a child, I hid under the bed, trying not to look at the monster.
A huge hand lifted the bed, and a huge, disgusting creature appeared before my eyes. He smiled wryly and reached out to me. His fingers squeezed my ribs, lifting me to heights. A few seconds later I was hanging at a height of five hundred, or maybe more meters. It was hard to breathe.
I was afraid that he would flatten me and that he would unclench my fingers.
The pressure on my chest increased. Losing consciousness, I noticed how disgustingly the giant was grinning. All three smiles.
I woke up again. In the bedroom, under the bed. I got out and realized that the roof was intact. It was as if nothing had happened.
For today my tests were completed.
I chewed the steak stupidly. I understood how people feel when they know that they are about to be killed, and they cannot do anything about it. I felt like a midge flying into the windshield. A little more, and… But at least the midge doesn’t know what awaits it! I know! And that makes it even worse.
I washed the plate and headed to the bedroom. I lay down and closed my eyes, knowing that the monsters would not leave me even in my sleep.
