Bluefur sat in a clearing near a tree, crushed by pain. On this day, ThunderClan received terrible news - Snowfur, Bluefur's sister, was died. She was hit by a monster, in front of her own sister. Now the gray cat was sitting and almost crying. She was asked to report to Whitekit, Snowfur’s son, that his mother had passed away. Bluefur tried to do it as gently as possible, but even then she caused the little kitten severe pain. “I just ruin everything for everyone... All I do is cause pain...” — Bluefur thought bitterly, burrowing deeper into the branches. Suddenly, disheveled Thistleclaw, a friend of the deceased Snowfur, burst into the clearing and rushed under the branches of a fallen tree. - What have you done? - he yelled with intense hatred, looking at Bluefur. — What were you thinking when you took her to the Thunderpath? She should have been in the nursery, with Whitekit! — I... I'm sorry... I'm so sorry... — How could you let her put herself in danger when you knew she still had a kitten? — Thistleclaw hissed, his eyes flashing lightning. Bluefur looked detachedly at the cat, distraught with grief. Suddenly, Thistleclaw released his claws, and, swinging, slashed the cat on the cheek. Blood splashed onto the grass. But Bluefur didn’t even flinch, but only closed her eyes, barely holding back her tears. She knew Thistleclaw was right. It was all her fault, and she deserved to be treated like this. — Move away! — Stormtail shouted, suddenly appearing behind Thistleclaw . — You won't help anyone here with your screams. — Thistleclaw backed away and left, casting one last, hateful glance at Bluefur. Stormtail sat down next to his daughter. He looked at her with sadness. — Adderfang told me... — Why should I lose my whole life?.. — Bluefur hissed with tears. — I lost Moonflower, now Snowfur... I hurt Whitekit! Why did she have to die?.. — This is known only to the StarClan... — Stormtail shook his head. — This Clan is stupid and cruel! Hate it! — Life goes on. You are not alone, Bluefur... You have other clanmates... — whispered Stormtail, clinging to Bluefur. — This is not the same at all! They were close, they were dear to me! — The entire Clan relies on you, just as Moonflower and Snowfur did... And even more. — Stormtail stroked her side with his tail. — I don't care about anyone! I need them! — I know you care. And I also know that you will never let your fellow clanmates down. You must move on with your life — hunt, fight for your clan. — After these words, Stormtail licked Bluefur between the ears and walked away. The cat dug its claws into the ground and looked with hatred at the sky, crossed out by branches. «I hate it, I hate it! What is the point of living, trusting someone, if all I do is hurt others and lose loved ones! I can not do this anymore. It's time to end this.» — With these thoughts, Bluefur quickly ran to the exit from the camp, not paying attention to her fellow clanmates calling her. She didn't care. She ran through the forest, and her paws pounded the ground and leaves. The warrior did not see where she was running, as she was immersed in her thoughts. So, she ran to the edge of the cliff, under which the river raged. Such a place would be very dangerous for a cat, but Bluefur needed this. Slowly approaching the edge, she thought one last time. «Farewell, my fellow clanmates. I disappointed you again, I hurt you again. You told me before that I would be useful, that I should move on with my life. Alas... Your advice did not help me. Nothing can help me now. Goodbye... Don't mourn me later, I'm not worth it.» — Having looked around the forest that was behind her for the last time, Bluefur prepared to jump, when suddenly a rustling sound was heard behind her. Cat tensed. «Who else is there? They must have sent someone for me. Stupid!» — the warrior thought with irritation. — Go away, leave me! I do not need anybody! — she hissed without turning around. The rustling stopped. However, Bluefur was still worried. Suddenly, the distinct and strong smell of chamomiles filled her nostrils. «They sent a healer... Even better.» — she smiled sadly. However, it was impossible to determine which tribe present was from, since the smell of daisies overwhelmed everything. This made Bluefur even more tense. She turned around carefully. — You can go out. I do not bite. Maybe. — Bluefur muttered. And then, a rustling sound was heard again in the bushes, and a cat unfamiliar to the warrior slowly came out from behind the bushes. She extended her paw to Bluefur and smiled, and kind sparkles shone in her eyes. — Come to me... Don't be afraid, I won't hurt you. You can trust me. — The cat spoke quietly, almost in a whisper. Her voice was gentle and soothing. Bluefur unexpectedly noticed that she was calming down, and there was no trace left of the recent hysteria and desire for suicide. The warrior was amazed and looked at the stranger with all her eyes, like a little kitten. This cat was unusual: she was fluffy, brown and white, and the most unusual thing about her was her fluffy dark red tail. And the cat’s amber eyes looked with kindness and inspired confidence. In some places, petals, and sometimes even whole chamomile flowers, were scattered right in the fur. — Who...Who are you?.. asked Bluefur, without taking her eyes off the cat. She did not answer, but only laughed loudly and disappeared into the bushes, and the last thing that could be noticed was her red tail. “How strange she is... And it’s not even clear who she is and where she came from... And why is she so kind to me?.. Strange, very strange. I think... I should go back to camp... It's getting dark..." — Bluefur stood up with a sigh and slowly hobbled towards the camp of her native tribe.
