Slayer of the Lands Between

I hear a voice. A female one. I have no idea what she said, I'm focused on the fact I'm alive. Did she save me? Who cares, I'll probably kill her soon. A few moments later I have the strength to get up now. The lady isn't here anymore and I appear to be in some sort of cave. Luckily my club survived the fall with me. I notice some ghost sitting in a chair, whispering something about dropping into the pit in front of him. "Are you trying to get me killed?" I tell him, but I get no response. Now I feel stupid, talking to a ghost. "What's the worst that can happen? I survived being impaled and falling, I doubt whatever is down here would kill me" I drop into the pit. It's just more cave, what did I expect. I see some guy wielding a sword. My first challenger? I approach him and he seems startled at my presence. I smash his head with my club to test his durability. His head bursts open and blood spews everywhere. "Well...I wasn't expecting him to be THAT weak. How pathetic." I continue on, slaughtering more of those weak people. "I hope there's some sort of water source nearby, I want to get all this filthy blood off of me." I continue going deeper into the cave, until a notice a knight attempting to shoot me with a crossbow. His aim is horrible. "You think just because you have the high ground means your safe? I guarantee your demise. I will come up there and bash your skull like I did with all these other pathetic troops. You look different, so I hope you can put up a good fight." I make my way up there, following the path until I come across another soldier who looks like the crossbow guy. They wear green and orange. This one in particular wields a great shield and a spear. I don't hesitate and charge at him before he has the time to block my attack. I hit his shoulder and he falls onto the ground. "Pathetic" I tell him, as I finish him off, beating him to death. "Nice, now I can take your belongings" but suddenly his corpse dissipated, along with his weaponry. "Are you kidding me?! How am I supposed to get a better weapon now?!" Then I see him. The crossbow guy. "You. I told you I'd come up here and kill you. Your friend didn't put up a good fight, I hope you can". He takes out his sword and says "Well, you attacked him while he didn't have his guard up. Not very fair is it?" He approaches me, shield up. I quickly say "hey look over there" and he foolishly turns around. I smash my club into his spine, paralyzing him. "I'll leave you to rot here. Have fun." Then I realize something, I didn't kill him, meaning I can take his things! I take his armor, sword and shield. "Finally! Now I don't have to fight like a savage! I'm sick of this cave already." I proceed through the cave until I find an area full of water. Another knight guy. He wields a great sword unlike the others I've killed. "Another one...." I mumble. He doesn't say anything and immediately runs at me. I block his initial strike and retaliate with a counter strike. I impale him through his chest as he groans in agony. The blood seeping from his wound taints the once clean water. In surprise, I say "well, that armor sucks. Now I know to prioritize getting better armor". In his final breaths, he says "you....foul....." and he dies. "Didn't even have the strength to finish your insult?" I laugh as he falls limp. I walk past him and realize I'm back at where I started! "What?! I'm back?!" Then I notice a door right in front of where I woke up. "How stupid am I?! Oh well. At least I got to kill those weaklings." I open the door and take the elevator. "If I see any more cave.....I'm not going to be happy." I open another door and light floods into my eyes. "Ow! My eyes..I wasn't ready for that." As my eyes adjust to the natural light, I gaze at the vast world. Beautiful green grass and trees, tons of wildlife and fresh air. I can't wait to wreak havoc upon this land.
