Imagine that you were Bella's sister. You were also in love with Edward.

Entering your sister's room without knocking, you froze abruptly on the threshold, seeing Edward's astonished look and Bella's laughing look.
"I'm sorry," you said hurriedly, flying out the door like a bullet and closing it behind you, "I'm sorry!" you repeated it louder so that they could hear you, feeling your ears burn.
You heard Edward laugh and Bella snorted and smiled herself. It was very awkward... and a little funny, yes.

"Everything is fine?"
This question from Bella caught you off guard.
"Uh—huh," you mumbled, smiling at her.
"If something is wrong, you can always tell me, you know about it, right?" she put her hand on your shoulder.
"I know. Thank you, Bella," you smiled again.
You heard footsteps receding, and then you heard Edward's soft voice. You shook your head, sighing heavily.
You didn't say anything this time either. You'd like Edward to be yours, but if he's happy with Bella, then so be it. If your sister was happy, then you didn't mind, despite the fact that it hurt you. You wanted Bella to be happy. She deserved it. She deserved to be happy and to be sincerely loved. If Edward makes her happy, then so be it.
