«Supernatural». Gabriel. Grace (#19)

Notes:
Imagine that you were Gabriel's girlfriend. When he died, you were in mourning and later started helping the Winchesters with hunting. *** The day Ketch told the brothers that the archangel was alive, you were out hunting. They didn't dare to tell you about it for several hours, but then they decided and did it. You wanted to take off right away, but you had a job and the guys told you that nothing was clear yet, Gabriel was not with them yet, so you stayed where you were and continued hunting. *** Worms of doubt and fear just gnawed you from the inside when you, having already dealt with the monster, hurried home. You should have slept, because you've been driving all day, and at the moment it was already night, but you went into a general dialogue with the Winchesters and Castiel to share your fears with someone, so as not to be completely alone. Of course, you were watching the road, because crashing to death was not part of your plans for that day.

DeanWhat the hell are you still up for, Y/N?  22:42 SamEverything will be fine  22:45 SamWe'll get him out, I promise  22:47 SamGo to bed  22:48 Y/NI can't fall asleep now😣  22:50 Y/N😣😣😣  22:51 CasEverything will be fine, really, go to bed  22:52 CasDon't worry  22:56 Y/NI can't, guys  22:57 * You would have calmed down a little if you already knew that Gabriel was safe, but no one has guaranteed that yet. But the words of Dean, Sam and Cas calmed your growing anxiety quite a bit (the scolding from Dean was like a breath of fresh air in these circumstances. You understood that nothing had changed even if Gabriel turned out to be alive) and you stopped the car to lie down and sleep a little. *** You arrived at the Men of Letters bunker the next day sometime after lunch. The sun was shining over your head when you got out of the car. "Y/N, just don't be scared, okay?" A great start. Just beautiful. It was after these words that you became terribly afraid, oddly enough. "What happened? Dean?" you turned to him, but he shook his head. "Sam? Cas?" you turned to them. "What happened?"  "I'll start with the fact that it's quite possible... um... we suspect that it may be Gabriel not from our world, but from a parallel one," you looked at Sam in surprise and he raised his hands as if surrendering, "I said "maybe", not exactly. But about exactly… Asmodeus... tortured him. He was pumping grace out of him," Sam explained forcefully, and your heart sank, "he sewed up his mouth so that Gabriel wouldn't scream and pumped out his grace with some kind of huge syringe, then injecting it himself to... probably become stronger, I don't know. I took out the threads and treated everything there as best I could, but he doesn't heal himself. He's afraid of us all. You can't touch him, he moos and huddles in a corner. Ketch told us about Asmodeus," he quickly added. You flinched. Creepy pictures flashed before your eyes and it was very, very difficult to stop the flow of imagination. Heck. What have you been through, Gabriel?.. Where have you been for so many years?.. *** You knocked on the room where the brothers placed the archangel... or what was left of him.  "Can I?.." you looked into the room. Gabriel was sitting on the bed, staring straight ahead with an absent gaze and clasping his knees with his hands. You entered the room, carefully closing the door behind you. You didn't completely close it, because you couldn't even predict how this wounded Gabriel would behave.  "Hi," you said softly, looking closely at Gabriel. He was dirty, in dirty and shabby clothes. Even if he was from another world, nothing in him gave it away or even suggested such an idea. The Archangel was silent. You sighed heavily.  "Gabriel," you called, not approaching him. You squatted down so as not to scare him even more, as Sam said. You just sat and looked at him, trying to figure out what to do. How to get it back?.. You didn't understand, and perhaps you should have asked Sam what he was doing and how he behaved with such a Gabriel. Is it even possible to bring him back at all, or is he already completely broken by Asmodeus' tortures and the abduction of his grace? Damn, he was a living source of grace, and it has the ability to recover… He could have been there forever.… You squeezed your eyes shut and shook your head, driving away bad thoughts. Gabriel flinched in surprise, and you rolled your eyes in horror, immediately realizing your mistake.  "Oh my God… I'm sorry, I'm sorry," you hurriedly apologized in a frightened voice, trying not to move too abruptly so as not to scare him even more. Gabriel started rocking on the spot, as if trying to calm himself down, and you hurriedly left the room, wondering for a second whether to close the door. But as soon as you pulled on the handle, a frightened mooing was heard from the bed.  "Oh, my God..." you left the door alone and backed away. ***  "I don't really know how to get him back," you gloomily confessed to Sam and Dean. "I just don't have the faintest idea," you covered your face with your hands, trying to come to your senses and think about it well. But it's Gabriel… You loved him and you were sure that he loved you too. So how could you get him back without making the situation worse and scaring him even more?.. What depended on you this time? You could say how much you love him and have always loved him. I could remind him of your moments together. There weren't many of them, but they were all the more valuable to you. You could remind him of his own words ("you have become a real home for me..."). You could… Something had to be done. You couldn't leave it like this. Not his, not your Gabriel. "What are you up to?" Dean's question was thrown at your back.  "I haven't figured it out myself yet," you muttered softly, opening the door to Gabriel's room. He didn't even look up when the door opened.  "Gabriel, please listen to me. You are not a fighter and have never been one," you involuntarily grinned, remembering how the archangel himself told you these words, "but you passed your test," you pursed your lips, "I'm not asking you to speak. Just, please, just at least look at me," you literally begged him. But ten minutes passed... twenty... he didn't look at you and you sighed and turned around to leave the room. He hasn't said a word since he got here and you didn't know how else to help him.  "A great illusion, Asmodeus," a hoarse voice suddenly sounded and you turned around and stared in amazement at Gabriel, who spoke for the first time in these days. About a dozen similar thoughts flashed through your head at that moment. From "I'm sleeping, pinch me, he's talking!" to "He thinks it's all an illusion and he's still in hell...". The last thought made your heart ache painfully.  "Gabriel," you knelt down in front of the archangel, "I am not an illusion. You can check it out. I won't hurt you," you said almost syllabically, not daring to reach out to him. "I'm Y/N. Real. There are no illusions and there can be no illusions." Gabriel stared at your hand with such a look, as if it was a snake and it suddenly bit him.  "Arthur Ketch saved you from Hell, Gabriel," you continued. "Asmodeus beat him in front of you, remember?" yes, the Winchesters shared this with you, too. "He got you out of Hell. You're in the Men of Letters bunker right now." The Archangel seemed to be thinking about something or remembering something.  "But you were never in his illusions..." Gabriel whispered uncertainly. "There's no way he could have found out about you, there's no way he could have."  "Do you remember the Winchesters?" you asked and got a tense barely noticeable nod in response. At least something. "They turned out to be the heirs of the Men of Letters and inherited this bunker." He looked around the room and closed his eyes, and then some letters suddenly appeared on the walls, but clearly not English. You knew a couple. The Enochian language. You sighed heavily. You really needed Castiel's help right now. Since Gabriel decided to communicate there in this way, there was nothing else to do. *** "What is it? Did he draw this? Enochian?" Sam asked, and you nodded back.  "That's his story," Cas said, studying the symbols carefully. "After his death. Or... what we took for her. "As usual, my brother turned out to be twice as strong as me and twice as dumb. He decided that the fake me disappeared that night, and he stabbed the real one. But the truth is that Luci pierced the fake," you breathed out in amazement. After all, he was your Gabriel.  "I have created many of them. Everyone believed that Gabriel was dead and suddenly I was free. No obligations to God, Heaven, or humanity. I did what anyone would do: I went to Monte Carlo to hang out with porn stars." continued Cas. Sam looked at Gabriel in surprise, and you let out a nervous laugh. That was what Gabriel was all about. He disliked war and loved entertainment. "Well... then he writes in detail about pornstars and..." Cas hesitated, looking at you.  "Cas, don't," Sam grimaced, also giving you a worried look. You just sighed heavily. It was just like Gabriel, so you weren't even mad at him. After all, he was dead.  "In general, Gabriel was caught, taken to Asmodeus. "For many years my life has been one continuous torture. Asmodeus, once the weakest of the princes of Hell, has become stronger..." Cas suddenly stopped, but then continued, "feeding on my grace." My God, you're his father, how did you let that happen?.. It didn't fit in your head. It just absolutely did not want to fit in. You couldn't believe it, you just couldn't. ***  "I'll try to talk to him, okay?" Sam asked, and at first you didn't understand who he was talking to. "You to me?" you clarified and the younger Winchester nodded, "yes, yes, of course," you nodded your head, "maybe at least you will succeed," you sighed heavily and buried yourself in books. He was gone for about half an hour, but when he left Gabriel's room, he shone like a polished lamp and you got up from the table. "He's fine," Sam informed you and Dean and Cas, who came up, "he's in his right mind, he's fine." "Apart from the fact that he's injured," you said gloomily. Sam took you by the shoulders and looked into your eyes. "He's come to his senses, Y/N, he'll be fine," he said with conviction. You looked at him incredulously, thinking that he was kidding you. "If you're joking like that, it's not funny, Sam Winchester, it's not funny at all," you said sternly, just afraid to believe that it was really true. "Check it yourself," he smiled, "just wait a bit, okay? Cas, we need to get his grace." *** Sam and Castiel had given Gabriel back a small part of his grace, and in theory it should have been restored in full pretty soon. You watched them all with a smile on your lips. Sam's phone rang and he took the call, putting it on speakerphone. "I'm listening," he said. "Samuel," you saw how Gabriel shuddered and immediately picked himself up when he heard the voice... probably Asmodeus, "I hope everything is fine with you. I've learned that you boys have something of mine and I want it back." "I don't know what you're talking about," Sam curled his lips. "Oh, you understand. I'll give you a chance to return it to me and I won't do anything to you." "I'm shutting down," Sam warned. "Don't you dare switch off," Asmodeus exclaimed irritably. "Gabriel is of no use in his current state. If you try to resist me, I will have to take it by force. I will turn all of you and your miserable bunker into a pile of ashes!" Sam said nothing in response. "You have ten minutes to think," the Prince of Hell finally said. "Now switch off," he graciously allowed. The beeps sounded and you looked at Sam in a panic, who exchanged glances with Cass. Gabriel looked at the younger Winchester with the same panic in his eyes as you. "Your mother..." you muttered softly, realizing what you got into. "We won't give you up without a fight," Sam said quietly, looking at Gabriel, and Cas put his hand on his shoulder in an attempt to support him. *** When Asmodeus came (he didn't lie after all), you all turned out to be powerless in front of him, just pathetic people. He grabbed Gabriel, or rather, his people grabbed Gabriel, and promised that they would return to Hell and everything would return to normal, threatening him with severe punishment for escaping. You closed your eyes and prayed to yourself, not knowing to whom, that it would all stop, that it would all end at last. But it was not there, because Asmodeus decided that torturing you was a very good idea and immediately began to implement it. But Gabriel's eyes suddenly lit up and he pushed away the demons who were already on the stairs on the way from the bunker straight to Hell, throwing them over the railing. The Archangel grabbed the railing with his hands and lowered his head. "Gabriel, what are you doing, son?! You know what I can do to you, I broke you!" Asmodeus shouted, still not realizing that he had already lost. Gabriel raised his head, showing his glowing blue eyes. You exhaled convulsively. His strength returned to him. "You're too weak!" The ruler of Hell continued to shout. After a few seconds, Gabriel cleaned himself up: his hair became clean and was laid, the wounds and cuts disappeared, as well as the blood, and his clothes stopped being rags. And then huge wings opened behind him, which disappeared moments later. For several seconds Gabriel silently looked into Asmodeus' eyes, and the latter, not wanting to believe that the archangel, whom he had tortured for so long to get someone else's power, had so easily eluded him, launched a blue clot of magic into him, which Gabe easily threw away from himself. "Not anymore," Gabriel replied evenly. "And by the way, I've always hated your stupid costume." The archangel's eyes lit up blue, he abruptly stretched out his hand towards the demon. You and Sam looked at Asmodeus, who gave off thick steam or smoke, and then at the smiling Gabriel. Suddenly, Asmodeus screamed heart-rendingly, his body was engulfed by fire. The flames were so strong that you had to cover your faces with your hands. After a few seconds, there was nothing left of the demon. The blue light in Gabriel's eyes went out and he raised his head. "Are you all right?" he immediately inquired. You nodded, and then looked at your friends. The Archangel came down the stairs, holding on to the railing and came up to you. Sam had already managed to get to his feet, so he held out his hand to Dean, and Gabriel to Cas, and then to you. "Thank you," Gabriel said seriously and sincerely to the four of you. "Absolutely not at all, Gabriel," Sam replied. "You helped me to recover," he looked at you with tenderness, and you smiled. "Thank you," he said softly, smiling back at you. Everything will still be fine. Now you were sure of it, because the impossible happened: after eight years of "death", your Gabriel finally suddenly returned to you. You had a lot to talk about, but it didn't matter now and you were just enjoying the moment with your beloved archangel.
