Imagine that you were Gabriel's beloved.
***
You, along with Arthur, were an ally of Asmodeus.
When Asmodeus caught Gabriel and began to feed on his grace, you tried to appear as rarely as possible in the main hall, trying to cross paths with Asmodeus in the corridors of Hell, because it was physically painful for you to look at the beaten and broken archangel.
The demon did not even suspect that you and Gabriel met once, or rather before his "death". Gabriel never told anyone about it, and you didn't see the point in it either.
***
Asmodeus sent you on a mission before he beat up Arthur, so you weren't in Hell.
When you returned, you found out that Ketch stole the archangel right from under the nose of Asmodeus and his guards. You stayed close to Asmodeus, but secretly worked as a double agent, passing information to the Winchesters and Ketch. You did it very rarely, without risking in vain, so that the demon would not suspect anything.
***
"Gabe..." you whispered softly, wiping the blood from the lips of the archangel, while Sam was preparing to get the thread connecting the man's mouth, "what did this bastard do to you…"
Sam winced when, in response to his actions, Gabriel narrowed his eyes slightly, and you put your palms to your cheeks, exhaling slowly to calm down.
Closing your eyes, you waited for the end of the procedure, and opened your eyes after Gabe's quiet moans of pain subsided. Gabriel immediately wrapped his arms around his knees. You tried to touch him, but he recoiled from you in horror and almost fell. Sam managed to catch him.
"Hush, hush, Gabriel," Sam whispered soothingly, shaking his head.
***
When Asmodeus called Sam, you were with Gabriel. As soon as the archangel heard the demon's voice, he immediately started and threw up his head, frightened. You slowly put your hand on the archangel's shoulder and gently squeezed it, as if to say that you will not give up Gabriel without a fight. Yellow-Eye gave you ten minutes to think, otherwise he threatened to take Gabe by force, turning you and, as he put it, "your pathetic bunker" into a pile of ashes.
Sam hung up and looked at Cas, Gabriel, and you standing behind the archangel.
The younger Winchester went to strengthen the protection of the bunker, and you remained waiting for him in the room that Winchester allocated to Gabriel. A few seconds after Sam entered, the bright light in the entire bunker suddenly went out and was replaced by an ominous scarlet light.
Leaving Gabe in the room, you went to check the bunker.
You managed to kill several demons before Asmodeus appeared, who abruptly threw the three of you into the wall.
"Your protection is not designed for people like me, Samuel," said the demon, descending the stairs. "I came to get mine."
At that moment, two demons led Gabriel out of the corridor by the arms.
"Y/N," the ruler of Hell shook his head disapprovingly, "and I once considered you one of the best and most loyal of my allies…"
You realized that the Prince of Hell realized that you had betrayed him even before he saw you in the bunker.
Asmodeus threatened Gabe with severe punishment for escaping, and the demons led the archangel up the stairs, while Asmodeus began to torture the three of you.
Suddenly Gabe's eyes lit up and he abruptly pushed the demons away from him, throwing them over the railing. The Archangel grabbed the railing with his hands and lowered his head.
"Gabriel, what are you doing, son?! You know what I can do to you, I broke you!" Asmodeus shouted to the Archangel.
Gabriel raised his head, showing his glowing blue eyes.
"You're too weak!" The ruler of Hell continued to shout.
After a few seconds, Gabriel cleaned himself up: his hair became clean and was laid, the wounds and cuts disappeared, as well as the blood, and his clothes stopped being rags. And then huge wings opened behind him, which disappeared moments later.
"God, Gabe..." you whispered with fear, looking at him with all your eyes.
For a few seconds Gabriel silently looked into Asmodeus' eyes, and the latter, not wanting to believe that the power had so easily escaped him, launched a clot of blue magic at the archangel, which Gabe easily threw away from himself.
"Not anymore. And by the way, I've always hated your stupid costume."
The archangel's eyes lit up blue, he abruptly stretched out his hand towards the demon. You and Sam looked at Asmodeus, who gave off thick steam or smoke, and then at the smiling Gabriel.
Suddenly, Asmodeus screamed heart-rendingly, his body was engulfed by fire. The flames were so strong that you had to cover your faces with your hands. After a few seconds, there was nothing left of the demon.
The blue light in Gabriel's eyes went out and he raised his head, looking at you.
You tried to get up, wincing in pain, and Gabriel began to descend the stairs, approaching you.
Sam and Cas helped you up and you barely had time to touch the floor with your feet, rushed to Gabe, hugging him tightly. He hugged you back, closing his eyes and stroking your hair with one hand.
You stood there for about five minutes until Sam's careful cough brought you to your senses.
"Don't you want to tell us anything?"
***
Alone in the room, you just lay on the bed, enjoying the presence of another nearby. The Archangel stroked your hair, and you ran your finger over his chest, thinking about everything that happened.
"Gabe?"
"What, candy?" the archangel immediately responded, without ceasing to play with your hair.
"I love you," you smiled, because from the very first time you met Gabe called you "candy".
"I love you too."
You clung to Gabriel's chest, closing your eyes and clearly realizing that he had finally returned to you.
