Continuation of the leaf. Let's return to our leaf. So, he was pulled into the whirlpool. Willie saw beauty there: there were algae everywhere, sea pebbles lay, various beautiful fish swam. Some of them began to play with the leaf. They circled around him, tickled him with their fins, and blew a lot of small bubbles. The leaf asked one of the fish to take him to the shore. She did just that. Willie thanked her and she calmly sailed off about her business. Meanwhile, a strong and cold wind was blowing again and at the same time the sun was shining. Since the leaf was completely wet from the water, it gradually began to dry out. Then he again began to remember his friendship and conversations with the sparrow and with his other friends. Willie also remembered how the sparrow told him about the city in which he lives. Then the leaf asked the wind to take it to the city. The wind did just that. Willie again saw forests, mountains, fields, rivers and much more. By evening, the leaf saw from afar a city in which the lanterns were burning. Willie saw large monsters driving past on the roads. Remembering from the sparrow's stories that they were called machines, Willie watched them for several minutes. They flashed quickly. Then the wind carried him to a park nearby. The leaf fell again under the tree, onto the wet ground. The wind stopped blowing for a while. Willie was a little tired and fell asleep. The next morning the leaf woke up early. He looked up at the sky. Storm clouds were visible there. Later it started to rain again. Willy was delighted and began to wash himself with the drops and absorbed the dew. Then he noticed a small hole near the roots, from which a small mouse was peeking out. She was gray in color and very shy. She sat at the entrance of her hole and carefully looked around. Then she sniffed the air and carefully walked out of the hole. She began to look for food for herself. A dog ran past the leaf and Willie followed it with his eyes. Children and adults were walking around the park. The little ones played, laughed loudly, and ran around. Leaf watched them all. Then a little girl accidentally approached him. She began to collect beautiful leaves. Willie spoke to her. The girl was very surprised and exclaimed: “Oh, can you talk?” The leaf answered her: " Yes. We leaves can talk. But only children can hear us, not adults.” The girl was very happy. Then she continued collecting leaves. She was about to take our leaf, but suddenly a strong wind blew again and carried it far away. The girl ran after him, but could not catch him. The wind carried the leaf to another place in the park. Willie slowly fell onto the bench. A squirrel immediately jumped from the tree towards him. She carefully took a leaf with her teeth and climbed up the tree. Hiding in its hollow, the squirrel laid a leaf on the bottom. He examined her hollow. There were a lot of food supplies and various leaves lying there. He asked the squirrel: “Why did you bring me here?” She answered: “ Because it’s very cold outside. I saw you by chance when you were carried by the wind. It's very warm here. You will be warm.” Liszt thanked her and fell asleep imperceptibly from fatigue. By winter, the squirrel began collecting supplies again. Several hours passed. The leaf woke up. He saw the world around him from the hollow. People were walking around the park again and having fun. Willie saw a piece of sky. Heavy, dark and thunderclouds hung there. Leaf was sure that it would rain heavily again. Meanwhile, the squirrel went away for a long time and Willie was left alone for a while. Suddenly a magpie flew into the hollow and began hastily searching among the supplies for the food it wanted. But I didn’t find it. Upset, the magpie indiscriminately grabbed our paper. Quickly fluttering out of the hollow, she flew out of the park and headed towards a large house, which was located not far from the park. She then sat down on the roof near her nest. I attached the leaf to the nest. He had already begun to see almost the entire park and the entire city. A cold wind blew from time to time. The leaf swayed but did not fly away. A bunch of sparrows sat down nearby. They chirped a little sadly. One sparrow looked at the leaf with curiosity. He noticed his gaze and was very surprised. Then he thought: “It’s probably another sparrow. They are so similar to each other that it is impossible for me to recognize my friend among them.” The leaf became saddened by these thoughts. A flock of pigeons flew past the house. Having made a large circle, they returned and sat on the roof. Willie listened to their conversation. They were talking about bread crumbs. Somewhere in the park you could hear dogs barking and people laughing. Meanwhile, the sparrows were still sitting not far from the magpie’s nest. The latter was cleaning her feathers and calmly looking around. Suddenly she took off and headed towards the park. Sitting down on the wet ground, she began to dig through the dry leaves. Evening came. The birds hid in warm places. People began to go home. The magpie flew to its nest. She sat there and fell asleep. Several days passed. Our leaf was still attached to the nest. He was very bored. He really wanted to travel everywhere again.
