Lisa doesn't understand why Cisco hates her. Basil grows on her wrist, and on his — Lisa saw — yellow roses bloom. She is hurt to tears for herself, she cries-cries-cries, but does not leave Cisco, because she is d e p e n d e n t.
Lenny promised his sister that he would kill Cisco if he touched her. Lisa was laughing, but now she's not a bit funny, just s c a r e d.
Lisa does not understand how in a few weeks a person can turn from a cinnamon bun into s u c h.
At night, Ramon laughs, drinks and fucks Lisa for several hours, she howls in pain, anger and resentment, crumpling the sheets in her hands. How, well, how could she have made such a damn big mistake, where she was guilty, where she did w r o n g?
She remembers her father, who also loved to do this, loved to hurt her and Lena. He liked to come home drunk after a bad watch and take a good revenge on the children, and then snore into the pillow while Leonard and Lisa, having already washed and changed clothes, curled up and listened anxiously to the silence of the house. Those years were the worst, but they were able to survive them because they were t o g e t h e r.
Lisa is trying to become a gray mouse and secretly hopes that someday she will be able to dial the cherished numbers and say into the phone: "Len, help me." Her brother will help, she knows this for sure, but she wants to deal with Cisco herself, wants to break out of the cage into which she drove herself, wants to prove to her brother that she can cope on her own, she is strong.
When Cisco grabs her by the throat and squeezes her hard, hard, it becomes t o o l a t e to break out.
