The road is not going there

- Oh, damn... No, no, no! Don't you dare switch off! Argh! - the dark-haired guy sitting on the sofa loudly indignant, nervously clicking on the keyboard. - Why is it always like this?! Just when you, Hoseok, are about to learn something, everything suddenly turns against you! - slamming the laptop, in which the thesis was still glowing two minutes ago, the guy jumped up from his seat and took the charger, trying to plug it into the socket. - Crap! Why are you fighting?! It hurts... - Hoseok twitched. The sharp discharge of current really scared him. Sighing heavily, the guy realized that the charger had burned out, and the device would not be able to be connected unless he bought a new one, and the document needed to be completed urgently. Shaking his head, Hoseok threw on a red jacket with white stripes, put on sneakers and, deciding not to change out of his blue jeans and light T-shirt, ran out into the street. Fortunately, you don’t have to go far, the guy rented an apartment in a fairly active area, there are shops on every corner. Quickly getting his bearings, Hoseok headed towards the passage. At noon there was enough transport. The guy found the desired store with his eyes and rushed towards it. - Devil! Watch where you're going! What idiots! - Hoseok was indignant, jumping sharply from the roadway. He froze when he saw a strangely dressed individual in front of him, who extended her bony hand towards him. - I don’t have any change, please move away! - The guy waved it off and noticed that the stranger didn’t even move. He tried to get around her, but she didn’t let her in and came closer. - Are you kidding me?! I'm telling you, I don't have any change! - Hoseok grimaced, examining the woman’s clothes. A long black cloak with a deep hood that hid his face. Tall height added terrible thinness to an already bony body. Thin and long fingers with terribly pale skin and, to the horror or laughter that Hoseok involuntarily released, a strange object reminiscent of a real scythe created a complete absurdity of the image. - Seriously? It's still a long time until Halloween, why are you dressed up like that? - in response there was silence and the stranger’s pose did not change at all. Hoseok shook his head and stepped back, walking around the woman standing. - What a stupid day? - the guy felt a piercing gaze on himself and, moving towards the desired store, looked back, noticing that the person continued to stand and look after him. - Goosebumps. - Hoseok flinched at the loud sound of bells on the front door of the store. A woman and her daughter walked right in front of his nose, closing the door behind them. - Be careful! - Hoseok exclaimed, trying to open the door. - What the... - the guy looked scared as his hand passed through the handle. - Very funny... Is this some kind of joke? - Hoseok repeated the movement several times, but that’s all. Suddenly the door swung open and the customers who came out walked through Hoseok as if he wasn’t there. The guy opened his mouth in shock and began to breathe heavily. He felt a cold sensation on his back and, turning around, saw the same individual in a black cloak. Hoseok wasn't scared, he was perplexed. The guy looked down, trying to collect his thoughts. - What's happening? Am I in a dream? - in response he received only a shaking of his head. After standing in complete silence for several minutes, Hoseok laughed loudly. - Very funny, how did you do it? Wow, this is a prank, right? Hey guys, come out! - the guy applauded demonstrably, looking for his classmates with his eyes. Of course, he thought that this was another joke and banter from his peers. Therefore, since this is the case, he also decided to play along. - This is reality! - Hoseok, hearing a low and hoarse voice until his body trembled, looked at the individual in black. - Let's go, we don't have much time! -Where are we going? Are you an actress or an actor? Definitely some kind of creative person. How did you manage to get into the role? - Hoseok didn’t stop pouring out questions. Well, the prank turned out just right, why not find out more? - Shut up ! - Don't shut me up! I'm curious to know. - Walking level, Hoseok continued: – Are you like Death? How much makeup did it take to become so scary? Are you wearing heels? Why are you so tall ? You probably get offered roles in some horror films all the time. Giggling, Hoseok wanted to continue and, hearing a doomed sigh, could not resist and tried to pull off the hood to look at his face. - Stop doing that! - Grabbing the guy with an icy hand, the person stopped him and continued on his way. - Why are you so boring? What are you afraid of? Is it so bad? Don’t worry, I’ve seen a lot of weird things in my life. Which theater are you from? - in response there were only heavy sighs, but Hoseok did not give up. -Where are we going? Is this some kind of festival or holiday? Well, don't be silent! I feel like I'm talking to myself. Hello? They pay you money for this, talk to me! - Hoseok stood in the way of the stranger and began mockingly waving his arms, indignant. She ignored this and walked through him. - Well, stop! - Grabbing the cloak and dragging the specimen towards him, Hoseok loudly indignant: – What kind of tricks are these?! - From the sudden movement of the guy, the stranger barely kept her balance. - Who hired you? And how much do you charge per hour? In short, I don’t have time for these jokes, I have to study for my exams! - Shut up! - Listen, lady or man. - Looking down, Hoseok wanted to lift his cloak to confirm his guesses, but, having received a bream on the knuckle, he removed his hand and pouted his lips. - Okay, so you want to play?! So be it, I’ll give you an hour. I see you’ve gotten into the role well, okay, I’ll play along. - Hoseok pointedly put his palms to his cheeks, feigning a grimace of horror. - What a nightmare, this is Death, I’m so afraid. - the guy continued mockingly. - Where are we going? To the Underworld? Hell or Heaven? Who do you have more? What props did you use? Horns or wings? Do you even get paid? But, judging by your condition, you don’t go to warm places, you’re terribly pale. You should sunbathe, soak up the sun, and get a good roast. What kind of crap is this, is it real? - Knocking on the wooden scythe holder, Hoseok tried to look under the hood and see his face. -What are you hiding there? Even behind such a spacesuit, your nose still sticks out. Okay, okay, what happens to people after they die? Well, they met you, so what next? Where are you sending them? What are your conditions there? Are there still many free places? Is there no such thing as overpopulation? Who is your boss? - Enough ! - the wind rose from a piercing scream, and Death furiously hit his scythe on the ground, blinding Hoseok with a white flash. The guy opened his eyes at the sound of the elevator stopping and said in bewilderment: – I don’t understand. The elevator doors opened and Hoseok stepped through the threshold. - Hello, welcome! Why are you alone? - asked a tall, dark-haired guy with handsome features and full lips, dressed in a black classic suit with a shirt of the same color. He clasped his hands behind his back, peering inside the elevator. -Where is Death? - Who? - Hoseok was completely bewildered. He didn't understand at all what was happening. - Where did you get this from? - the guy asked, nodding at the braid that Hoseok was holding in his hands. - Who the hell knows! - Having looked at the object, Hoseok handed it to the stranger. - What are you saying, I can’t! - Frightenedly taking a few steps back, the guy continued: – This is not my responsibility. You're probably going over there. - Pointing to a large bright door in an empty huge dark room, the stranger pulled a smile. -Where is your boss? - after thinking a little, Hoseok said. - This joke is no longer funny. How did I even end up here? Where is the customer for all this devilry? – The boss is unlikely to accept you, but I assure you, Jimin will explain everything. Come on in, come on in. - Jimin, so... Okay, what's your name? - Stopping at the door, Hoseok looked at the guy incredulously. - My name is Jin, but it’s unlikely that we will meet again. – I wouldn’t be so sure, Jin, - Hoseok arched an eyebrow and opened the door, entering a small red room with a high ceiling. A handsome guy with gray hair was sitting at a huge black table that occupied most of the room. The dark satin shirt was buttoned high and showed off her white velvet skin. Pleasant facial features, large expressive eyes and a soft voice calmed Hoseok in an instant. – Hello, have a seat, now we’ll arrange everything, - noticing the guest, the guy smiled sweetly. Hoseok couldn't help but smile back. - How cute you are! Apparently you are Jimin? – That’s right, my name is Jimin, what’s yours? – Jung Hoseok, - without thinking, Hoseok walked closer to the table and pressed his fist against the tabletop. Jimin, without wasting any time, turned his gaze to the computer monitor, reading carefully: “Sorry, Jung Hoseok, right?” - Well, I already answered it, spell it out? – No, you shouldn’t... - swallowing nervously, Jimin turned his gaze to the guy. - Sit down for now, this will take some time. - Pointing his hand at the red leather chairs against the wall, Jimin looked at how Hoseok put his braid in the corner. - Where did you get this from? - Who knows, I already answered one of your guys, the handsome one, there, behind the door. Apparently his name is Jin, - Jimin nodded. — It seems your actress forgot her props. Just how could she leave so quickly? - Forgot? - Jimin smiled nervously. – Okay, you sit here for now, I’ll be there soon, - the guy headed down the corridor to the high black door. Hoseok, crossing his legs, pouted his lips and, looking at one point, shook his leg. He did not notice how one of the doors swung open and how a handsome brunette with slightly curly hair and expressive choc. olate eyes imposingly entered the room. - Whoa, new guy? - the low velvety voice seemed to tickle the eardrums. Hoseok looked at the guy with an appraising look. An open red jacket, a light T-shirt that reveals sharp collarbones, red high trousers that highlight long slender legs, and dark leather shoes with pointed toes. This guy looked like a model from a glossy magazine. – Why are you froze? Don’t drool ahead of time, - the guy grinned slyly, and continued: – I’m Taehyung, glad to meet you, - he extended his hand, Hoseok immediately appreciated the graceful fingers of his new acquaintance. – And I’m pleased, I’m Hoseok. Are you the boss here? – Unfortunately, no, and I wouldn’t want to, I like my position, - Taehyung answered playfully, examining Hoseok, and licked his lips. – I see, you won’t do any good, - Hoseok snorted, turning around. – Hah, - Taehyung sat comfortably on a large leather sofa, spreading his arms on its back. – It depends on what you’re looking for, baby,” he cast a hard look at Hoseok and bit his lower lip. -Where's the cutie? Or are you for him? - Taehyung asked, nodding towards the empty chair at the table. — Jimin has gone somewhere. He’s taking a long time, - getting up from his seat, Hoseok headed towards the door through which Jimin had entered earlier. - Stand! Where are you going? - stopping Hoseok, a blond guy in a light black shirt and trousers of the same color said. - I'm on business! Bring Jimin! The stranger raised an eyebrow and became indignant: – People like you can’t go there! Maintain subordination! Sit down! - Raising his voice, the guy took several steps towards Hoseok, thereby forcing him to step back. - Who are you anyway? Why so impudent?! - This doesn't concern you! Get out of here! - folding his arms over his chest, the guy stopped at the door behind which Jimin disappeared. Hoseok clenched his cheekbones and exhaled heavily. - I just need to talk. Why the hell did I end up here?! What kind of place is this anyway? Why are you silent?! Answer! - This is Hell! - the fair-haired one answered calmly. Suddenly his gaze fell on the sitting Taehyung. - I don’t understand, what are you doing here? Why are you idle, Taehyung?! - the guy was loudly indignant. - Ew, Yoongi, don’t yell, it’s not exciting. - Are you kidding?! - Yoongi snorted. Hoseok watched what was happening with interest. – This month you’ve caused nothing but losses. You didn’t make a single deal, and you only managed to seduce Jungkook! And that's only because he is a demon of naivety. Are you going to work?! – Stop it, - looking at his fingers, Taehyung continued: – I’m doing this, I came to Jimin for a list of sinners, and you reduce your ardor, extra wrinkles won’t add sexuality to you. Yoongi ran the tip of his tongue along the inside of his cheek and looked at the stunned Hoseok. - What? - I can't... – Yoongi, it’s good that you’re here. Please come in, we have an important conversation. - Jimin said excitedly as he looked out. – Ah, Jimin, when I saw you, I felt better, - Hoseok said, sighing. Jimin smiled sweetly. - How long do I have to wait? I need to talk to you urgently, - this guy’s atmosphere was calming and inspired confidence in Hoseok. - Don’t worry, sit down for now, I’ll be there soon. Hoseok nodded obediently and did as he was told. Taehyung stood up, straightened his hair and said: – Okay, I’ll probably come in later, - Jimin nodded and disappeared behind the door with Yoongi. Hoseok looked at the guys and fell into thought. He tried to digest everything that happened to him. - People passed through me... Does this mean that I died? - Hoseok reasoned quietly. - If it was real Death, it turns out that it could very well disappear... These guys, are they really demons? Does that mean I'm in Hell? But why? I don't remember pain and I don't remember anything at all... Hoseok’s monologue was interrupted by a loud scream coming from that office: – How could Death die??!
