Chapter 2

Settings

I spent about 5 minutes searching for a library, but when I finally entered its threshold, wide rows of shelves filled with all kinds of literature appeared to my eyes. It smelled damp, dust, mold: that's what history smells like. The dust made my nose itch. Well, I have a mild allergy to dust, so the fact that my nose itched can be explained by the fact that it's very dusty around, because of this allergy I often sneeze, but it's nothing compared with why I'm here.

I looked around, the rays of the setting sun were still making their way into the room, it would soon be completely dark. I looked to the right of the entrance to the library, and there was a mirror: there, thanks to my luminous pendant, I saw myself: a slightly overgrown square with gray-blue bangs, the same color eyes, two bright- two blue feathers, to the left of the left ear, which are held on an almost imperceptible bandage due to bangs, a brown bag with a clean scroll and a pen for creation, my wings, a badge of distinction in the form of a gray feather conducting a blue curl, and my favorite pendant itself in the form of a silver crescent, in which between its "lobes" a magic crystal of azure color, diamond-shaped, was glowing...

Wait, where did the mirror come from here? ...Well, that's why I remembered myself, and because of such an extraordinary place, I even forgot myself, haha.

The bangs got disheveled because of walking through the bushes, I began to correct it, while looking at the books reflected in the mirror. On the spines of more than half of the books there was something written in small text, but I can read some of them: legends, encyclopedias, spells for alicorns ... A whole storehouse of knowledge! I turned to the books themselves and began to examine them in more detail: the books were covered with dust, yellowed, and so yellowed that it was visible even without opening the books themselves, and some were completely moldy. I walked near the shelves, lifting my head to see even the topmost rows, of course, I could fly up to see everything better, but something was leaving me on the ground.

Strange... Maybe some kind of enchantment from the ability to fly in the library was imposed? Interesting thoughts, of course, there are no charms, and in order to prove it to myself, I opened the wing, however, it didn't work out very well - the wing touched the shelf and a whole row of all kinds of books flew to the floor with a dull roar. Through the "hole" formed in the smooth library row, someone's dark silhouette flashed... —...It's a statue, or a suit of armor – I try to calm myself down, having been scared for the first time in a long time.

But do armors or statues move and can be directed in my direction?
