Chapter 2 - Restless night. Two with... and five without.
November 15, 2023 at 3:30 AM
As soon as the light stopped blinding them, the Uchiha, from the parts of this creature’s body they could see, realized that they were in trouble. The lanterns turned in the direction from which the roar was initially heard. All five tried not to move too much, otherwise you never know. The creature turned in the direction where it was looking with its lights. Having started to move, the iron monster demolished part of the canopy. Obito and Madara moved back to avoid being hit by debris from the structure. Glass flew out, almost hitting Obito right in the face; he managed to turn away in time. The concrete beams collapsed, but Izuna managed to jump around the corner.
The creature continued on its way, emitting a powerful roar. The Uchiha exhaled. There were no casualties. Only abrasions and minor scratches. After what they saw, everyone felt… uneasy.
-What was that just now?
Obito asked slowly, looking at all the damage done to the building. And it didn’t even attack them, but just accidentally passed by!
Madara looked in the direction where it went. Apparently, those lights belonged to the same monster. Biju? No… Summoning? Perhaps, but if so, whose? But, alas, no one will answer this question…
Izuna, coughing from the rising column of dust, looked around. It’s very dangerous to stay here. They were all convinced of this. The world is unfamiliar to them; what they will have to face remains unknown. And there were already enough impressions for years to come.
-Where did it go?
He asked, walking around the fragments of concrete and iron reinforcement.
Madara gestured to the flickering lights ahead. All four looked in that direction. There was clearly a battle going on there, which is why the second one came out of the ground, or rather the sand.
-What is happening there?
Shisui asked, sitting down on the ruins of what had once been a canopy.
-Battle.
Itachi answered briefly, looking at this battle that was happening in the distance.
It is impossible to understand what exactly happened there. You just have to be content with the chaotically flickering lights of the mechanical creature’s light. But until one moment…
-Same…
Not believing what he saw, Obito took a couple of steps forward and ran his hand through his hair. This is something neither he nor the others expected to see!
-Cato…
Clanmate Izuna finished his thought. This means they are not the only ones from their world. But why can that person use chakra and they can’t?
***
The brothers ran away from the claw rushing towards them. Ashura found himself directly in the crosshairs of this monster. It was already hoping to slam him down with a precise kick, but the younger Ōtsutsuki jumped to the side at the same second, but unsuccessfully. His foot caught on a small stone, which happened to him at the wrong time. Ashura fell face first into the sand. How can? At this rate, he’ll soon be full for the day ahead! Rising, Ashura turned around. The creature was distracted by his brother.
Indra dodged every blow of the claw and blade. He almost got caught a couple of times. It is almost impossible to fight without chakra against such a hulk. Only defensive tactics work here. It’s impossible to attack him… Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed how the second one began to move towards them, emitting a roar. Now their affairs are as bad as ever.
Ashura, rising from the sand, decided to take advantage of the moment while his brother distracted this giant. “You must have a weak spot!” — he thought, looking at his body. The creature’s armor is very strong, as he was convinced of this when he kicked it in the head. It is very difficult to break through, let alone just make a dent. No matter how much Ashura looks, it is impossible to find a weakness in his defense! He is protected as if he was preparing for an attack on… on a fortress!
Indra was already at his limit, and Ashura simply watched, dodging the creature’s legs. In another situation, he would have killed this idiot, but now, every now and then they just have to watch and dodge the deadly claw with a blade. If they survive, he will definitely fulfill his promise…
The second one was already on its way. The lucky thing is that he walks quite slowly. The two of them are running out of strength, and the creature attacks as if it were not tired at all. Ashura barely dodged this damned claw, but could not escape the side blow of the paw. He was thrown a good three meters back. Getting up was already problematic. The monster approached him, preparing to strike. The blade cut through the air just centimeters away from Ōtsutsuki. Ashura rolled from one side to the other. It still didn’t stop. Ultimately, the monster blocked his escape route and swung its tip. He can’t escape this blow…
Indra was a few meters away from his brother. The second creature was approaching. Ashura is pinned down and cannot dodge the fatal blow. His own brother is now going to die before his eyes, and he can’t even do anything… Hopelessness… Self-hatred… Inability to save a loved one… These feelings awakened inside him. Another moment and my brother will not be alive…
Indra felt the warmth begin to dissipate inside. His strength returned to him…
…Ashura is caught between two fires. Even three. On the left is a claw, on the right is the creature’s leg, and above it is a blade that is about to cut it. There is nowhere to go. He is exhausted… Nearby, Ashura notices his brother. “It looks like it’s not for you to kill me, brother…” I mentally addressed him. Indra looked at him, and he at him. The younger one was ready to say goodbye to him.
Indra closed his eyes. Ashura turned his gaze upward. The monster was ready to cut him in half. The younger looked at his brother for the last time. He opened his eyes. Ashura was shocked by what he saw. Indra… He can use his powers!
Indra activated the Mangekyou Sharingan. Quickly examining the creature, he noticed that it did not have armor in all places. Mangekyou he walked over his head. “So this is where your weakness is…” his gaze stopped at the place where his mouth was located. There is practically no armor there.
Ōtsutsuki made one single seal — Tora, the seal of fire elemental techniques. Having approached almost densely, Indra released a powerful stream of flame from his mouth. The monster began to emit a heart-rending roar. He was in pain, but few people cared. The creature fought in agony — its armor melted under the pressure, and Indra only strengthened his katonjutsu technique. Ashura, propped up on his elbows, watched this. His brother saved him from death, even though he had previously wished it for him. It seems that coming into this world changed him. Or it just seems that way to him.
The metal melted across the entire front surface of his head. It didn’t make a sound. Taking a few steps back from the brothers, the creature — with a characteristic sound — fell onto the sand. Its light has gone out — the monster is dead. Indra gasped for air. The battle lasted longer than they planned… Alive is good. Ashura looked the thing over as he rose to his feet. Couldn’t be deader…

-Are we still going to stand here?
Obito asked, turning half a turn to the others. It’s one thing to just observe, and another to try to do something.
-What do you offer us?
Madara asked him a question, crossing his arms in front of him. Smiling, he continued.
-Should we take some shovels? Otherwise I see that you won’t part with her…
-Very funny…
Obito turned around and walked back inside the dilapidated building. He was tired of enduring the antics of the ghost of the past.
Izuna looked at the departing clanmate. Alas, he is unable to appease the enmity of these two. Too many things happened after his death. He turned his gaze to his brother. Madara only glanced after Obito and went back to watching the battle. The creature fell.
-Where is the second one?
Shisui asked a question. The Uchiha were alarmed, even Obito stopped before he could go around the corner. Everyone looked at the place where the second monster was. There were no lights anywhere. One might have thought that he too had been killed, but only they would have noticed it. It disappeared into the shadows…

Taking a breath, the brothers looked at each other. There is one, the last one remains. The Ōtsutsuki simultaneously turned to the place where they had last seen him. But there was no one there. Ashura quickly looked around, looking for its outline. Indra’s mangekyo sharingan carefully peered into the darkness. There’s almost no strength left anyway, he’s the last one holding on, and the second one decided to play hide and seek with them. “What a smart creature.” — he thought.
The light suddenly turned on behind them. The brothers turned together to face the monster. Indra did not have time to react; he was hit with a claw. He flew to the side and fell, losing consciousness.
-Indra!
The younger one exclaimed, but no answer was given.
-You!
Ashura turned to the remaining enemy. They met face to face. It made characteristic sounds of discontent. The monster is as angry as ever. Ōtsutsuki was experiencing strong emotions at that moment. Whether his only brother was alive or not, he didn’t know… “What if he’s dead?” — Ashura shook his head, driving away such thoughts — “He couldn’t die so easily!”
-I won’t forgive you for this…
He whispered quietly, holding back the outbursts of anger that had accumulated inside him. The chakra awakened from sleep. A large blue ball began to form in Ashur’s hands, with five more inside it. The iron monster growled angrily, waving its blades. This fight is decisive between them. One of them will survive!
The opponents rushed at each other. The creature was the first to attack. Swinging, it cut through the air next to Ōtsutsuki, if he had not dodged it in time. The desire to avenge his brother gave him strength. The monster was clumsy, which he took advantage of. Approaching him as close as possible, Ashura launched his technique at him.
- This is for your brother… Amenomihashira!
The sphere hit his weak spot directly. The monster was thrown back by the blast wave from the technique of Rikud Sennin’s youngest son. After plowing for several meters, leaving behind a deep trail of sand, the creature began to convulse. Visible electrical discharges began to pass through his body, it seemed that Ashura was able to damage his internal… organs. A few seconds and it dies…
…Ashura, leaning his hands on his knees, tried to catch his breath. These two really shook them up…
“What a time when our strength returned to us.” Yes, brother?
The younger one was alarmed. Nobody answered him.
-Indra?
Forgetting about fatigue, Ashura straightened up sharply and turned to his brother. He lay on the sand and did not move.
-Indra!
With a jerk he ran towards him. If only his fears were not confirmed. Having reached Indra, Ashura skidded to his knees in front of him.
-Indra!
The younger one shook him by the shoulders, but he didn’t react. After checking his pulse, he exhaled. Alive… Just lost consciousness.
-You scared me…
Turning back, he noticed three people approaching them as soon as the danger had passed them. Lucky for them all…
***
Izuna, along with Itachi and Shisui, ran towards the strangers as soon as the second monster fell. Who they are is unknown, but they are on the same side, or so everyone hoped…
The stranger noticed them. Rising to his feet, he walked towards them. The trio slowed down. Even before leaving, they agreed that Izuna would speak. After what you saw, you need to be careful, otherwise the Uchiha might get caught by accident.
-Who you are?
The Uchiha stopped a few steps away. The stranger looked at them incredulously. Now the main thing is not to accidentally provoke him.
-My name is Izuna, and this is Itachi and Shisui. We are from the Uchiha clan. We are not your enemies.
“You mean they’re not enemies?” — Ashura examined each of the trio. They didn’t inspire confidence in him, but there was nowhere to go. If there are such creatures in the area, then their help may be needed.
-My name is Ashura.
Turning around he continued.
-And this is my brother Indra.
With a “follow me” gesture, Ashura walked back to his brother. The trio looked at each other. So far everything is going smoothly. Approaching the brothers, Shisui helped him lift Indra.
-Thank you.
- It’s not worth it… We didn’t do anything like that.
The Uchiha answered him with a friendly smile. He nodded understandingly in response.
-How can you use chakra?
With this question, Itachi threw their new acquaintance into a stupor.
-In what sense?
-You see…
Got Shisui’s attention.
“We haven’t been able to use chakra since we came to this world.” But somehow you can use it.
-Did you end up in this world?
Ashura asked incomprehensibly. In response, he received a positive nod. Something is clearly not right here…
-Of course, you asked me a strange question, but let’s first help me with my brother. Afterwards I will answer everything I can.
***
It is unknown what Izuna was thinking when he decided to leave his brother Madara and Obito alone, but the fact that they did not kill each other is an achievement! Although, since that short conversation they have not crossed paths again. Obito single-handedly cleared away all the rubble of the building while Madara disappeared into the warehouse. What he was doing — the Uchiha did not know, and did not want to. It’s better to sit there, and even better to die there. Scars don’t disappear…
“And why did we all appear in this world?” — Obito asked questions, sorting out the rubble — “Shinigami decided to make fun of me? First Itachi, now Madara too… I wish I could have brought Kaguya here! Crap!” — he cursed mentally, cutting his hand on the shards of glass that he had so unluckily come across. Blood flowed in a strong stream from the wound. I was lucky that I didn’t hit a vein yet.
-What kind of day is today?
Quickly bandaging his hand, the Uchiha turned towards the sound. It looks like the trio is back, and not alone…
…Izuna and Shisui literally carried Indra’s unconscious body on their hump, and Itachi helped the weakened Ashura walk, leading him by the arm. Was it difficult for them to drag them about a kilometer to the temporary shelter? If so, then the pride of the Uchiha clan will not allow them to say it.
Arriving at the shelter — which can now be called ruins — they were met by Obito. Izuna noticed his hand, but decided to remain silent — you never know what could happen. The main thing is not to kill… Obito, crossing his arms, leaned against the wall.
- So, these are the same ones?
He asked, looking first at one and then at the other. We were lucky to be alive.
-Yes.
Izuna answered, placing Indra’s body on the floor, where it was more or less clean. Ashura sat down next to him.
-Where is my brother?
The Uchiha involuntarily made a displeased face when he heard the mention of Madara. It is difficult to come to some kind of humility now…
—He went to the warehouse and I never saw him again.
Obito replied phlegmatically, to which their leader nodded. The relationship between these two was very complicated and Izuna was ready to hear that they had fought again, but, to his surprise, everything worked out.
As soon as Izuna left, the remaining Uchiha gathered around their new acquaintances. Now all that remains is to find out: why can they use chakra?
- I understand that there is one more left?
Asked Ashura, looking at Izuna leaving.
-Yes. Izuna’s older brother is Madara.
Obito answered.
—By the way, my name is Uchiha Obito.
-I am Ashura, and this is my elder brother Indra. You are all from the same clan, then.
He said, looking around at everyone.
-Yes. So that means you can use chakra, unlike the rest of us.
Changed the topic to Shisui. Now this person can help them get their powers back.
-How do you do this?
“Honestly, my brother and I didn’t have chakra at first either.
Smiling slightly and scratching the back of his head, Ashura began his story.
“In the battle with this… Mmmm… creature, we had to dodge its blade and claw every now and then. In the end, one might say, I exposed myself to the blow, and if it weren’t for my brother, I would have already died.
Looking at Indra, he continued.
—When the second one appeared from the darkness, he knocked out Indra with his blow. At that moment, I felt how… anger or something began to accumulate inside me. I can’t say for sure, but these emotions allowed me to regain my strength. And I think it was the same with Indra.
—Have you both experienced emotional shock?
Finally decided to ask Itachi my question. He was silent the whole way as they walked. Ashura thought for a moment and nodded in agreement, after which the Uchiha continued.
“That means we can do it too if we are in a similar situation.”
-In this world it will be very easy…
Shisui stated, with which everyone silently agreed. We saw it with our own eyes, and some felt it in our own skin.
-Suicide.
Obito said quietly, almost in a whisper.
At that moment, Izuna and Madara returned back. It is unknown what they were talking about, but most likely about their own. Noticing them, Ashura rose to his feet, which attracted everyone’s attention. He looked at Madara, as he learned from a short conversation with Izuna, or rather at his eyes. Approaching him, Ashura began to look into his eyes. The Uchiha raised an eyebrow questioningly, he didn’t understand what was happening at all.
“I never thought that I would see eyes like our father’s again.”
He broke the silence, causing confusion among everyone present.
-Father?
Obito asked.
-Yes.
He answered, turning half a turn to Obito.
-Our father was the only one who owned the Rinnegan.
He looked at Madara again.
-But I see that now there is another one, or rather, there was one.
-Well, I wouldn’t say that there was.
Ashura looked at Obito in confusion.
-In what sense?
—Itachi’s younger brother awakened the Rinnegan in his left eye.
Itachi, not believing what he heard, looked puzzled at False Madara. His brother has the Rinnegan?!
-Are you the children of the Sage of Six Paths?
Madara got his attention. Ashura turned to him again.
-Yes.
After this answer there was a silent pause. The progenitors of the chakras, what chakras are there, of the Senju, Uzumaki and Uchiha clans were now in front of them! Now their stay in this world will become even more interesting.
***
Indra woke up only in the morning. Ashura slept next to him. He didn’t want to leave his brother, especially in such a place. Izuna, since their last conversation, had appointed him and Obito as sentinels — in shifts, of course. Ōtsutsuki went to bed around two or three in the morning. Now there was a change of Uchiha, which he was both glad and not. Noticing the man who had woken up, Obito woke up his youngest son, Rikuda Sennin. Ashura, half asleep, almost hit his head on a stone slab, if it weren’t for the Uchiha who stopped him in time.
-Carefully. Your brother woke up.
Hearing the news about his brother, Ashura suddenly jumped up from his seat, almost knocking down the Uchiha, and approached Indra.
-Indra! Indra, how are you?
Wincing slightly at the sharp sound, Indra turned his gaze first to Ashura, and then to the stranger.
-Who is this?
“This is one of our comrades in misfortune,” the name is Uchiha Obito.
Ashura answered, pointing his hand at his new acquaintance. Nemo greeted him, Obito decided to leave them alone. Here he will definitely be superfluous.
Indra glanced around the room. Half of the building was destroyed. Either it was like that, or it suffered as a result of an attack by monsters like those two.
-Will you tell me what happened?
-Of course, Indra.
***
Obito felt out of place not only in the company of the Ōtsutsuki brothers, but also among his own clanmates. A stranger among his own and a friend among strangers, somehow one could call the attitude of those around him towards him. The Uchiha was on his way to the leader, who asked him to tell him when Hagoromo’s eldest son would wake up, in order to decide exactly when they would get out of here and as quickly as possible…
-…And you think that we won’t find anything like that there?
Hearing Madara’s voice, Obito stopped and decided to eavesdrop on their conversation a little. The last thing I wanted was to run into him.
-Maybe, but do we have a choice?
“Izuna.” — the second voice belonged to him.
— While we were walking here, we didn’t meet anyone. It is possible that they move at night. Let’s go out now — we’ll get there in the evening and we’ll decide on the spot what and how, Madara.
- Well, as you know… And don’t say that I didn’t warn you.
Hearing footsteps approaching, the Uchiha mentally groaned. It was necessary to scold him… Now a meeting with… this cannot be avoided.
Madara only glanced briefly at his former pawn without stopping. He didn’t care about him at all, or anyone else from his clan. Getting his strength back was his priority, especially after a restless night. The Uchiha was slightly taken aback by Madara’s behavior. “Is this really the same Uchiha Madara?” — I mentally asked the question into the void. What has this world done to them? And more importantly, what will happen to them next?
