«Teen Wolf». Theodore (Theo) Raeken. Hell (#74)

Settings
Notes:
Imagine that you were Theo's girlfriend before he was sent to Hell. ***  "Who is it?" Hayden asked, puzzled.   "Theo..." you whispered, staring at the crack in the floor.  "Do we need to help him?" Liam asked, remembering what Scott had told him about Theo. That this is his former friend, from whom it is better to stay away. You didn't say anything, too shocked by what was happening to answer. But Raeken was able to get out of the crack himself, albeit not immediately, because someone's blue hands were trying to pull him back, and he, in turn, was struggling to get out. He was breathing heavily, and then straightened up and looked at you all with a frightened look of yellow eyes. You saw the fangs in his mouth and unconsciously flashed your yellow eyes in response.  "Hi," Raeken said, calming down a little. *** Malia's fist flew into Theo's face.  "Don't stop..." he whispered. You were sure he didn't realize where he was. Or did it remind him of something…  "He what?!" Liam asked almost hysterically. "Liam, calm down," Hayden tried to calm the guy down.  "He tried to kill Scott and he succeeded... for a while. Did you hear that?" Liam turned to her, eyes wide. "Yes, I heard, Liam," Romero nodded. "And we released it here!" Dunbar exclaimed, "I let him out..." he added a little more quietly.  "He's your responsibility now that you let him out," Scott said bluntly, nodding at Theo. "What?" He looked at Theo in horror at first, and then suddenly calmed down. "Okay," Liam mused. "If something goes wrong, I'll send you back," Liam declared, and Theo flinched at the unexpected change in the tone of his voice.  "Please don't send me back!" Theo literally begged, which was not typical for him at all. Or... for him the old one? What happened there?.. *** Morgue… Tara… Heart… And all over again.       "Don't stop..." in a whisper. Morgue... (he has to get out of here!) Tara... (my little big sister, I'm so sorry...) The heart... (it's yours...) And all over again.       "Don't stop..." in a whisper. Morgue... (why morgue?..) Tara... (don't stop… you deserved a lifetime...) Heart... (take...) And all...  "THEO!" He woke up from a nightmare that would not let him go for long nights, tormenting his mind, his every cell. Tara tried to kill him. And she was good at it. Time after time she tore (his) HER heart out of his chest and he died. Each. Damn. Time. But he deserved it. He knew he deserved it. She died because of him. She died when she should have lived! Theo clutched at his hair as if he wanted to pull it out. He's been so tired these past few months… He just wanted to sleep without dreams, but nightmares visited him every night and he had nowhere to go from them. They were so exhausting that he simply had no strength left. Someone please tell me when this is all over... *** Liam dragged him to the next pack meeting because "now I'm responsible for you." Theo was amused by this. For his part, he tried so hard to regain Scott's trust so that he would not be sent back … Theo swallowed. His thoughts kept returning to Hell and Tara. Or maybe he is still in hell and this is such a trick so that he relaxes and believes in the illusion?.. At the meeting, he just sat and listened to the others. Well, or tried to listen. After a sleepless night, it wasn't so easy. After the meeting, Liam was going to leave with Hayden (he had promised her a movie night for a week now), but you approached them.  "Are you leaving?" you clarified, throwing an expressive glance at Theo. "What?" he looked at you in confusion first, and then followed the direction of your gaze, "damn it..." swore Dunbar. "If you want, I can look after him," you offered.  "But Scott put me in charge of him, not you. But he..." Liam, frowning, looked at you, "aw, okay," he waved his hand, "just tell Scott that Theo will be with you today before anyone leaves," he nodded his head in the direction of McCall, as if showing you the direction. You nodded your head and went straight to Scott. * "Make yourself comfortable," you threw the keys on the table by the front door.  "And you won't show me anything?" Theo smiled slightly slyly.  "You know everything here," you replied, taking off your shoes and walking into the hall, "you will sleep here," you pointed to the folding sofa, "it moves apart if anything. The parents' bedroom is there, in case you forgot," you pointed to the stairs. "The kitchen is straight. The toilet is in the corridor, here, near the room on the left side," you showed. "I'll sleep here," you went into the corridor and pointed to the door closest to you on the right. Theo nodded, listening attentively to you, remembering something and remembering something.  "Do you need anything right now?" you asked, taking hold of the door handle. Theo shook his head.  "I am now," you disappeared into the room and came out of it with bed linen in your hands, "can I help you to lay out the sofa and make the bed?" You asked, looking at Theo.  "Show me how to lay out the sofa," he immediately replied and you nodded. *** At night you woke up from strangled screams and sobs. You mentally thanked your mother, who decided to leave with your father for a few days somewhere to rest. After opening the door to the corridor, you froze for a couple of seconds, listening. The sobbing was quiet, but it was clearly audible. Realizing that you didn't hear it, you stepped into the darkness of the corridor and turned on the floor lamp that stood in the hall near the sofa. In the dream, Theo had thrown off the blanket and was now lying in only a T-shirt and boxers.  "Theo," you shook him lightly by the shoulders, "Theo, wake up."  "Please don't, Tara..." he muttered softly, flinching at your touch. You took your hand away, feverishly wondering what to do.  "Don't stop..." Theo whispered.  "Theo, wake up," you saw that it wasn't working and then decided to scare him a little, hoping that it would help wake him up, "THEO!" much louder you said and Theo opened his eyes wide, waking up. He was breathing heavily, as if after a long run, and his eyes were yellow.  "Theo, focus on my voice, okay? Breathe and focus on my voice. You're fine and you're safe," you tried to speak clearly, evenly and confidently, "like this," you noticed that his gaze became more meaningful, and his sighs were long, "like this." He looked at you and immediately turned away. You went out to the kitchen to get some water and came back. "If you want to drink," you nodded at the table on which you put a glass of water.  "Thank you," he thanked you hoarsely. You smiled back.  "I can give you a sleeping pill if you want," you offered.  "I don't want to sleep," he shook his head, "I can't sleep," Theo confessed, "it won't help me."  "Have you tried taking sleeping pills yet?" you specified. "Yes, and as you can see, I don't use it," Theo grinned. You nodded in response and fell silent, thinking about what else to offer him.  "I can't sleep," Theo repeated, "I fall asleep, but every time I dream I see her... and everything repeats again. Hell repeats itself over and over and over... the same thing every time. She returns her heart to its rightful place," he looked at his chest, instinctively reaching out to check if the heart was in place, and gasped convulsively. You listened to him carefully. He wasn't so open with you... yeah, probably never was. And after hell, he was not up to it.  "But I deserved it," he said. You tossed your head and opened your mouth to tell him that it wasn't, but he continued: "I deserve it. She died because of me. She died when she should have lived!" there were tears in his eyes, "she wanted to live so much..." he whispered, closing his eyes. Tears rolled down his cheeks.  "Theo," you called softly, "look at me, please," you had to wait until he calmed down a little and came to his senses. When he finally looked at you, you looked him straight in the eye seriously.  "As far as I can tell, Dread Doctors manipulated you, Theo. They made you believe that your sister wanted to give you her heart herself. How old were you?" "Nine," Theo said softly, "I should have been aware of what I was doing and aware of my actions," he muttered.  "You were only nine years old, Theo. At this age, children still believe in everything good, bright and fabulous." Theo sniffed and fell silent. "And your sister loved you. Very much," you continued to say. "And how could you not believe the people who called themselves Doctors that your sister wanted to give you her heart?" You kept looking him straight in the eye when he broke down. His body was shaking with sobs, and his face was already red from tears. He clung to your shoulders with crooked fingers and sobbed. You hugged him, as if enclosing him in a kind of cocoon. Soon Theo's tears ran out and he began to hiccup, but you didn't let him go from your arms. "Everything will be fine, Theo, everything will be fine," you whispered, stroking his back soothingly, "I promise."
