«Teen Wolf». Isaac Lahey. Fears (#12)
December 10, 2023 at 9:05 AM
Notes:
Person A is afraid of the dark, so every time he turns off the light, Person B hugs him tightly.
It's not quite the same here, but it seems to me that it's a bit similar.
PS: for some reason, the idea of a "bed monster" reminds me a little of "Supernatural", although it was not intended either as a reference or as anything else.

Isaac would be very happy to forget everything that his own father did to him.
Dads usually love their kids, right? So, this was not the case.
After the death of his wife and eldest son, the father began to brutally beat the boy, and tried to do it so that the bruises were not visible.
More than once or twice, the younger Lahey came to school with a broken arm. When asked how he managed to break his arm, he replied that he just fell badly or that he had a fight with hooligans.

Having come to school once again, the guy got acquainted with Y/N Y/L/N — a new girl, who only moved to their class that day.
He was asked to give the girl a tour of the school, to which, to the surprise of everyone and even himself, he agreed.
On this very day, their friendship was born.
***
During the time spent in Bacon Hills, Y/N managed to find out that it is inhabited by both ordinary people, without superpowers, and werewolves living in peace with some people. (Why with some? Because the rest either do not know about the supernatural, or are hunters of these creatures).
She also met the packs of Derek and Scott (and, of course, Hale and McCall themselves) and learned that her new friend, Isaac Lahey, is also a werewolf and a member of the pack.
But Lahey Jr. himself had no idea that y/e/c knew who he was.
***
After the death of his father from the claws of kanima, Isaac was afraid to go to school for a while. But he was also afraid to stay at home, because it seemed to him all the time that Lahey Sr. was about to come out of some dark corner and ban him in the basement for skipping school, and, for sure, he had already got two.
Lahey woke up at night screaming and in a cold sweat because of nightmares about his father. Later, wherever he went, he began to see his father: it seemed that he was standing behind him, but as soon as the guy turned around, he immediately disappeared.
After a while, Y/N and Isaac started dating.
One evening she went to his house to help with his lessons, because she knew that otherwise he would definitely get a two, or at best, if he did anything, a three.
After knocking on the door and not waiting for an answer, Y/L/N opened the door of the house and hesitantly went inside.
"Isaac?" Y/N called out to the guy, already standing in the hallway and peering intently into the darkness in front of her.
Oddly enough, Isaac had his own room in the house, a very ordinary room.
Y/N took out my phone and turned on the flashlight on it. Lighting their way, she cautiously moved forward, simultaneously continuing to quietly call Lahey.
No one answered, and the girl cautiously went into the kitchen. There was a terrible mess here and the girl, shaking her head, tried to clean up there, but it was almost impossible, since it was really a mess: broken dishes, overturned chairs, claw marks on the table, floor and cabinets.
Suddenly, someone screamed shrilly. Y/L/N abruptly realized the head and looked towards the stairs to the second floor, from where, apparently, this sound was coming.
Y/N ran up to the stairs and started climbing up. She went to one of the rooms, from where she could now hear convulsive sobs and muffled sobs.
"Leave me alone… You're dead..." muffled and unintelligible came from behind the door.
Y/E/C turned the door handle and looked into the room. Isaac was sitting on the bed, rocking from side to side and holding his head in his hands.
He didn't even hear the door open, and it was a little squeaky.
"Isaac?" Y/H/C said almost in a whisper, entering the room and heading to the guy, "what happened?"
Lahey Jr. shied away from the girl in one direction, then in the other, but eventually slid to the floor, silently sat there, pressing his knees to his chest, breathing heavily and looking at the girl with a slightly crazy look of yellow eyes.
"Quiet, quiet, quiet!" Y/N hastily blurted out, putting her hands forward.
The guy had such a haunted look and such pain in him that the girl's heart sank.
"Isaac," Y/E/C whispered softly, sinking to the floor near him, but still keeping a certain distance, "Isaac," Y/L/N repeated once again.
He looked straight into her eyes.
"Help me..." the young man asked in a broken voice, "help ... help ... please ..." he repeated, clutching the girl's shoulders with his fingers.
In the first second, Y/H/C was confused, but still managed to pull herself together.
"Shh... it's okay ..." whispered Y/N and began to soothingly stroke the guy on the head and on the back, "it's okay…"
Isaac was crying, he was really very afraid that his father would be able to return. Like Peter, for example. And then, considering that the young man has become a little more open and a little different essence (in the sense of a werewolf), it's scary to imagine what his father will do to him.
Isaac shuddered at the thought.
But there was a Y/N who loved him and whom he loves.
The guy convinced himself that he would never be alone. But did he believe it?..
***
Lahey and Y/L/N went to bed together: the guy was scared to sleep alone after what happened recently, and the girl just supported him in every possible way.
Already in the morning, when Isaac and Y/N were still asleep, Lahey suddenly began to spin and scream in his sleep.
Y/L/N woke up from his screams and did not understand what was happening. And only later, when she finally shook off the remnants of sleep, the girl began to wake Lahey Jr.
I must say that it didn't work out very well. Isaac tossed, screamed, begged for something, squeezed his eyes shut hard and it was impossible to wake him up, because he did not wake up at all.
Then Y/N just kissed the guy, hoping that it would help him wake up.
The curly-haired guy's breathing steadied, and he opened his eyes.
It is incredibly difficult to focus your eyes on something when you are awake, even if you have had a terrible dream.
"What did you dream about?" it was heard from the side and the guy, turning his head in the direction of the sound, saw Y/N there.
Still lying in bed, the guy shook his head, saying that everything is fine and you shouldn't worry about it. But y/e/c was persistent, because she was sure that these were terrible nightmares that the guy himself would not get rid of.
"Isaac," Y/N said wearily, not hoping to hear the answer already.
"I'm afraid of the dark," Isaac suddenly said quietly.
The girl blinked in surprise, comprehending what the guy said. Lahey was looking at her with a very serious look.
Y/N sat up on the bed and hugged the guy tightly.
Y/H/C heard from Stiles and Sheriff Stilinski that her boyfriend had a very difficult childhood: he lost his mother and older brother early and was raised by an abusive father.
Then Y/N thought that she could help him overcome his fears, but now, having really faced this problem in person, she realized that she could not cope.
"Me too," Y/L/N confessed to the guy just as suddenly, "only not the darkness itself, but what is in it."
Curly looked at her inquisitively, trying to figure out whether she was lying or not.
***
Y/E/C didn't lie. She was really afraid of the dark, or rather of what might be hiding in it.
Probably, everyone was afraid of the "bed monster" in childhood, and some are still afraid of it.
***
Y/N was from a family of supernatural hunters, so her parents and relatives always insisted that she always had a knife or a pistol with her, and also she was taught from childhood that all supernatural beings bear one evil and they must be destroyed and taught how to do it.
Y/E/C believed in it up to a certain point.
Y/H/C, of course, knew that there were werewolves living in Bacon Hills and, unlike her family, was aware of who exactly in the city are werewolves.
One day a girl was returning home late at night and a drunk man accosted her. The man demanded all the money and jewelry she had with her and her phone.
Y/L/N replied that she had nothing and it was true.
But the man decided to check and climbed on the Y/N with a knife. The girl, thanks to her parents, always had a gun with her. But she did not have time to get it, when suddenly a huge wolf jumped out from around the bend and rushed straight at the man.
He was running away so fast that only his heels sparkled.
The wolf stopped in front of the girl and turned into a human. This man turned out to be Peter Hale, a werewolf whose family, almost all of them, died in a fire in their own house.
He knew that she was from a family of hunters, but, contrary to all expectations of Y/L/N, he did not want to kill her.
Hale Sr. offered the girl a bite so that she would become a werewolf if she wanted to, of course. But y/e/c refused such a generous offer.
Then they made a deal: Y/N does not tell the family that Hale is a werewolf and does not try to hunt Derek and Scott with packs and, of course, Hale Sr. himself, and Peter will help her in return if suddenly Y/L/N needs help.
Y/N thought about it a little and agreed.
***
That is why she is now sitting on the bed with her lover and trying to support him, at least morally.
"I love you," looking at the girl sitting next to me, Lahey said.
Y/N froze, because Isaac rarely uttered these three words, more often he just expresses his love in touching or in some other way.
"I love you too," Y/L/N replied with emotion.
The guy gently took the girl's face in his palms, and then reached for her lips and froze a few centimeters away from them.
Y/H/C could not stand it. She leaned forward and covered the guy's lips with her lips.
The guy and the girl smiled through the kiss.
Isaac was the first to pull away from the girl and look into her eyes. She looked at him with infinite tenderness. The guy couldn't believe that he could and would be so loved.
"I love you," the young people whispered at the same time and smiled.
