Settings
Notes:
A sunny day in Clayton. The calendar shows the date, July 29th, Friday. Drake was reading a book with «Bloom Nobly, the Sakura of Saigyouji (優雅に咲かせ、西行寺の櫻) by Makabe Bushou (眞壁舞昇)» written on the cover. Doi was commenting the illustrations on the book. Suddenly, this moment was interrupted by Robin exclaiming with the loudest shout possible. “Attention, freaks! It's me! And I just wanna remind y'all that… Try to guess the following!” Doi suggested, his tone curious, “Are we going to do something antisocial?” Drake sighed, putting away his book, “If yes, then you and Doi can do that without me, I'll just look at you two for some accidents not to happen, when you doing both the antisocial stuff, and stuff related to… Well, no, you better do only the antisocial stuff.” Robin laughed out loud mockingly, as if some typical arrogant ladies' man. “You both are heck wrong!!! I'm about to do my Super Power Ninja Turbo Neo Ultra Hyper Mega Multi Alpha Meta Extra Uber Prefix Meal!!! Who wants to join me!?” Doi's eyes shone with excitement, he obviously would join Robin. Drake shrugged his shoulders, “Dunno, Robin. Usually, when you offer something of your Super Power Ninja Turbo Whatever What Goes Next Something, there is always some strange stuff going on.” Drake's skeptical response didn't faze Robin at all. In fact, it only seemed to fuel his enthusiasm. He stood up, striking a dramatic pose and declared, “Drake, my dear friend, you're missing out on the most epic adventure of your life! But hey, no pressure, it's your loss.” Doi couldn't contain his excitement and eagerly spoke up, “Robin, count me in! I've always wanted to experience one of your wild Turbo missions. Let's unleash our inner ninjas!” Robin grinned and turned to face Doi. “That's the spirit, mi amigo! Prepare yourself for a mind-boggling, heart-racing, and absolutely outrageous journey into the unknown. Together, we shall conquer the limits of imagination!” Drake rolled his eyes, unconvinced. “Fine, fine, have your Ninja Turbo extravaganza. Just promise me you won't blow up anything or cause a town-wide chaos this time. And about your «mi amigo», how did you learn Spanish?” Robin placed his hand over his heart, feigning innocence. “I swear on my honor as a Super Power Ninja Turbo Extraordinaire that no harm shall befall our beloved Clayton or its innocent citizens. This will be a mission of pure awesomeness!” Drake chuckled wryly, “Well, I'll be the judge of that. Lead the way, o reckless leader. And don't overreact, would you? We're just about to make some meal. I mean, you and Doi are, I'll just be the spectator this time.” As Robin and Doi made their way to the kitchen, excitement filled the air. Robin moved with a spring in his step, his mind brimming with ideas for their extraordinary meal creation. Doi eagerly followed, his curiosity piqued by the anticipation of witnessing Robin's culinary skills. As they entered the kitchen, the aroma of spices and ingredients enveloped them. Robin wasted no time in dashing to the pantry, gathering an assortment of exotic and mundane items alike. Jars, bottles, and packets were hastily arranged on the countertop, forming a vibrant mosaic of flavors waiting to be unleashed. “Doi, my friend, behold the ingredients of ultimate power!” Robin exclaimed, his eyes glistening with mischief. “We're about to embark on a taste bud adventure like no other!” Attempting to keep up with Robin's enthusiasm, Doi surveyed the array of ingredients. There were the usual suspects like beans, rice, and cheese, but also some unexpected additions such as pineapple chunks, BBQ sauce, and even a jar labeled «Chili-infused Chocolate». It was a concoction waiting to happen. “Doi, my ninja apprentice, prepare for the most mind-boggling combination of flavors you've ever witnessed,” Robin proclaimed, brandishing a tortilla with a flair only he possessed. “This Meal shall be the epitome of Ninja Turbo gastronomy!” “What are you about to make, by the way?” Drake asked, standing behind his friends. Robin turned his head to Drake, “The answer is as easy as two plus two, fella. A burrito!” Drake's eyes widened in surprise. He was expected Robin to come up with the most creative, most extravagant, most mind blowing meal. But it was actually… a simple burrito? “Why in the world you did some triumphant speech, then!?” he questioned. Robin chuckled mischievously, his eyes gleaming with amusement. “Ah, my dear friend, you underestimate the power of the burrito! While it may seem simple on the surface, it is the canvas upon which we shall create a masterpiece of flavors and textures. This burrito shall transcend the boundaries of ordinary meals and become a culinary legend!” Drake raised an eyebrow skeptically. “Alright, Robin, I'll bite. Show me what you've got.” With a flourish, Robin began assembling the burrito, skillfully layering the ingredients one by one. He added a generous portion of seasoned chicken, followed by a handful of black beans and a sprinkle of aromatic cilantro. Next came the rice, softly scented with a hint of lime, and a dollop of tangy sour cream for balance. “Doi,” Robin called, his voice filled with excitement, “fetch me the pineapple chunks and the BBQ sauce, if you will.” Doi eagerly complied, passing over the requested ingredients to Robin. Robin placed a few pineapple chunks on top, their sweetness adding a surprising twist to the savory combination. He then liberally drizzled the BBQ sauce over the entire creation, its smoky and slightly spicy notes infusing the burrito with depth. “But wait, there's more!” Robin exclaimed, reaching for the jar of chili-infused chocolate. He carefully spooned out a small amount of the rich, velvety sauce and spread it across the burrito, creating a tantalizing fusion of sweet and heat. “Now, my friends,” Robin declared, holding the completed burrito in his hands, “behold the Super Power Ninja Turbo Neo Ultra Hyper Mega Multi Alpha Meta Extra Uber Prefix Burrito! Are you ready to experience its flavor explosion?” Drake and Doi exchanged glances, their curiosity piqued. Drake shrugged and replied, “I suppose there's only one way to find out.” With that, they each took a bite of the Turbo Burrito, their taste buds instantly assaulted by a symphony of flavors. The combination of tender chicken, smoky BBQ sauce, tangy pineapple, and a hint of chocolate created a surprisingly harmonious balance that left them speechless. As Doi took another bite of the Turbo Burrito, he accidentally knocked over a bottle of hot sauce, causing it to spill all over the burrito and the kitchen counter. Robin's eyes widened in horror, his voice filled with rage as he shouted, “Doi, what have you done, you idiot?! You've ruined the masterpiece! You little son of a—” Doi quickly defended himself, his face turning red with embarrassment. “It was an accident, Robin! I didn't mean to knock over the hot sauce. I'm sorry!” Drake, sensing the tension escalating, stepped in to diffuse the situation. “Robin, calm down. It was just an accident. There's no need to shout at him like that.” Robin, still fuming, turned his fiery gaze towards Drake. “Stay out of this, you mop-headed dork! This is between me and this yellow pig!” But before Robin could launch himself at Doi in his fury, Drake had a better idea. He thought quickly and said, “Wait! I have an idea that might salvage the situation. Let's order a pizza instead!” Both Robin and Doi paused, momentarily distracted by Drake's unexpected suggestion. Robin's anger subsided slightly as he considered the alternative. “A pizza? But we were on the verge of experiencing the Turbo Burrito's full potential!” Drake grinned, hoping to sway them with his proposal. “Think about it, guys. Pizza is a crowd-pleaser. We can still have a fun meal together without any more mishaps. Plus, there are so many delicious toppings to choose from.” Doi, realizing that Drake's idea could save the day, nodded in agreement. “I guess a pizza would be a safer option. We don't want any more accidents.” Robin sighed, reluctantly surrendering to Drake's suggestion. “Fine, Drake. We'll go with your pizza plan. But just know that the Turbo Burrito could have been legendary.” With the tension diffused and their focus shifted to pizza, the three friends decided to put their culinary adventure on hold and ordered a delicious assortment of pizzas instead. As they waited for their order to arrive, they laughed and reminisced about their previous Turbo missions, letting go of any remaining frustrations. In the end, even though the Turbo Burrito didn't reach its full potential, the friends realized that it was the bond they shared and the adventures they embarked on together that truly mattered. And as they enjoyed their piping hot pizzas, they knew that their friendship would always triumph over any mishaps or disagreements. Drake took a bite of his slice of pizza and leaned back in his chair, “You know, as fun as it is to go on Robin's missions, sometimes it's nice to just sit back and enjoy some good food with friends.” Doi nodded, a cheesy grin on his face, “I couldn't agree more! And speaking of good food, this pizza is amazing. What toppings did you get, Drake?” Drake grinned sheepishly, “Well, I went for the classic combination of pepperoni and extra cheese. Can't go wrong with the classics.” Robin raised an eyebrow and smirked, “Classic, huh? I thought you were all about pushing boundaries and trying new things. Where's your sense of adventure, Drake?” Drake chuckled, “You know I need the comfort food every now and then, don't you, Robin? But I will admit, I'm always up for trying something new. What about you, Robin? What crazy toppings did you choose?” Robin smirked mischievously, “Oh, you know me. I went for a wild combination of pineapple, jalapenos, and bacon. Sweet, spicy, and savory all in one bite. It's a flavor explosion!” Doi's eyes widened in disbelief. “Pineapple and bacon? That's an interesting mix, Robin. I wouldn't have expected anything less from you.” Robin shrugged, “I like to keep things interesting. Life is too short for boring pizzas, right?” Drake chuckled and took another bite of his pizza. “Hm, you've got a point there, Robin.” As they shared stories and jokes, the friends realized that it wasn't just the food that brought them together, but the shared experiences and laughs along the way. And in that moment, they knew that no matter what crazy adventures or meals they embarked on, their friendship would always remain strong.
