Arc five. First Shinobi World War. Chapter 21. Is Michiko alive?
April 19, 2024 at 3:00 PM
Three days before the Five Kage Meeting. A man with black hair washed up on the shore of a sandy beach. He had sharp facial features... his cheekbones especially stood out, from which one could judge his noble origin. There was nothing left of the young man’s outer clothing, so one could see the young man’s fit body with clearly defined muscles. Below he had torn trousers, which now looked more like shorts.
- Where I am? – Opening my eyes, I muttered. I reflexively reached for my head, taking a sitting position. My head was pounding terribly from a migraine. What's wrong with my hands... what's wrong with them?! Only after my vision was able to focus did I realize that my arms were black up to my elbows. I, forgetting about the headache, quickly stood up. Having run into waist-deep water, I nervously tried to rub it off, but this pigmentation seemed to be congenital. I started to panic. This was the first time this happened to me.
- Morgana?! What's happening?! – I screamed in my head, but the answer was silence. So, the main thing is calm... inhale, exhale... inhale, exhale... Having evened out my breathing, I began to think. What happened? I fought Madara. I used the most powerful technique in my arsenal, and then... and then I don’t remember anything. We need to check on Morgana. Why doesn't she answer me? With these thoughts, I came out of the water, fully realizing that painting my hands black was not a joke at all, because this pigmentation began to burn strongly after my panicked attempts to remove it. Unpleasant... Having descended into my inner world, I understood why my cohabitant did not respond... she simply wasn’t here... it was as if she had disappeared forever... To my surprise, the storage seal worked normally, that is, it not only accumulated my chakra, but also accumulated chakra of nature. It was very good. Apparently, my body has already adapted to the constant accumulation of Sen-chakra. However, I still didn’t understand where Morgana disappeared... In addition to the disappearance of the sorceress, something new appeared in my laboratory from a past life. In its center there was a black crystal that literally devoured all the light entering it. As I approached him, I began to feel an unpleasant tingling sensation in my hands. I immediately moved away to a safe distance again, noticing that the blackness on my hands had spread more throughout my body. If before this the pigmentation only reached the elbow, now it has spread to the deltoid muscle. What is this thing? I have huge doubts that this thing can be useful for me. According to my humble feelings, it only harms my entire body. Morier... this demon... did he really do something to me? I’m afraid it’s not just me... Morgana also couldn’t leave my body before... We need to find this demon to understand what’s happening, but wandering around the world alone makes no sense. We need to return to Konoha and ask Tobirama for help. Most likely he knows something about what is happening.
Having rested a little, I moved through the trees, using my sensory abilities. I already realized that I was in the land of Water. She was too familiar to me, but the problem was that I needed to find someone who knew about what was happening in the world. If everything was the same as before during Byakuren's time, then I would go to Kiri, but now there is a war... there is still a war going on, so there is no need to go to the Mist now. I put a bunch of them ninjas. After some time, I discovered two sources of chakra, which I began to move towards. As I approached line-of-sight distance, I saw a fire and two masked ninjas. They were the ANBU of the Mist. Standard border patrol. Nothing unusual. I would bypass them, however, judging by the time, they have already sent a report to the Mizukage that everything is clear at the border, which means that they will not be caught before four hours later. I threw a stick into one of the bushes. The sound of rustling leaves attracted their attention.
- Who's there? Come out! – one of them screamed. Both ninjas had already assumed fighting stances, drawing their tantos from their backs. I quietly slipped behind one of them, knocking him out with a quick and precise blow to the back of the head. I did everything on the verge of hearing, but the second member of the group still noticed me.
- You?! – The ANBU froze in surprise, seeing how I grabbed his partner. He tried to approach me with uncertain steps.
- Stand! Weapons on the ground, otherwise he's dead. – I barked at him. At first the ninja was taken aback by such a statement, but his confusion did not last even a second.
- Shinobi of the Mist do not give up! – he screamed, making a sharp lunge in my direction. To be honest, I was surprised by its action. It's so easy to just leave a friend in trouble. Apparently Mist doesn't care about his ninjas at all. I threw the unconscious NBU aside, and then hit my opponent’s weapon directly. - What?! – his exclamation was heard when his tanto broke under the pressure of my fist, saturated with sen-chakra. The enemy flew away, crashing into a tree. I didn't hit him too hard, because otherwise he could have died. The blow was strong enough to disable him. Approaching him, I lifted him by the throat with my right hand, showing with all my appearance that resistance was useless.
- I need information. Answer a couple of my questions and I'll let you go. – I said coldly, looking straight into the eye slits.
- The fog does not give up its secrets. – ANBU answered confidently. What dedication... he is ready to sacrifice his life for the sake of the village. It is very interesting…
- I don't care about the Fog. I need information about the situation in the world. What about the war? Which great countries are left? – I started asking questions. I saw loss in the eyes of my interlocutor. I pressed harder on his throat so that he would hurry up with his answer. I was already starting to get tired of these games.
- The war is almost over. In three days, a meeting of the five kage will be held in Uzushio, where a peace agreement will be discussed. – declared the ninja, immediately understanding what I wanted.
So Mist suffered so much after the Battle of Uzushio that he was forced to end the war? Surprising... But what about Tobirama? Does he really not want to finish them off for betrayal? It was fair. Moreover, I am not at all averse to killing this Gengetsu.
While I was thinking, I didn’t even notice how the ANBU I was interviewing jerked sharply, trying to get out of his grip.
- AAAAAAAAA, stop! Hurt! Crap! Hurt! – he shouted unexpectedly. I looked at him in surprise, immediately letting go. Due to the sudden movement, my hand lightly touched his skin, causing the black pigmentation to spread to him. Unlike me, on him it immediately began to spread throughout the body. The speed of the attack was simply incredible. - AHH! HELP ME! I ASK YOU! WE HAVE AGREED! I WILL DO ANYTHING YOU WANT! JUST STOP IT! - the ninja begged for mercy, falling to the ground. His body arched from unbearable pain. After five seconds, he stopped screaming and began to convulse. After fifteen seconds, the ANBU stopped moving. His entire body was black from head to toe, and there was absolute madness in his eyes. I just stood there, spellbound, all this time, watching the dying man. When it was all over, I tried to touch the ANBU, but his body crumbled into dust. I stood rooted to the spot for some time, not understanding at all what was happening.
What the hell is this?! I held him, how could he die? The second ninja is alive and well... Having started to reproduce the picture of what happened, I realized a very terrible thing... I was holding the deceased ninja by the throat through a high collar. As soon as he twitched, I accidentally touched the skin on his neck, after which this began... The conclusion is very sad... while I have this pigmentation, I can’t touch other ninjas, otherwise they will die... I need to get to Uzushio faster... Looking at myself, I I discovered that my arms and chest were now completely covered in this blackness. Is this thing spreading to me so quickly?! I don't want to die like this ninja...
Over the course of the next day, I made my way through the Land of Water at my top speed, while avoiding all patrols. It wasn't easy, but I succeeded. Only eight hours after the start of my marathon... well, like a marathon... for an ordinary ninja it would have been a marathon, but for me it was an ordinary jog... I began to feel how the cells of my body were no longer listening to me. When I got to the port, my fingers on both hands just hung limp! I was simply horrified by how much this disease was progressing. I became really afraid... afraid for my life... I was afraid that I simply wouldn’t make it to Tobirama... I was afraid that we wouldn’t be able to find an antidote or somehow slow down this process... I spent a whole hour at the port to find the ship , which I need. I would have done it faster, but now I didn’t have a penny in my pocket, which meant that I would have to hide illegally on the ship. I was not afraid of the Uzumaki barrier, because he must accept me as one of his own... After another three hours, I was lying in the bottom of the ship, hiding from all the other inhabitants of the ship. I felt damn bad... I began to have a terrible fever... the temperature rose to normal, human... my awakened genes could not cope with this poison, which was gradually spreading more and more...
- Son, come to me. – I heard someone’s gentle voice behind me. I turned around, but it cost me a lot of effort. A girl with black hair and the most charming smile on earth.
- Mother? – I asked in a timid voice. Tears involuntarily flowed down my cheeks. - But are you already dead? How can you be alive? - Remembering the details of my past life, I ask her. It was not Michiko Yuki’s mother, but Victor’s... namely Victor’s... my mother...
- Everything is fine, son. It's me. Come to me. – she said in a gentle voice, continuing to smile at me with the same innocent smile. All my instincts screamed about danger, but my heart involuntarily sank from this picture... my mother sat down, spreading her arms to the sides, as if inviting me into her arms... I couldn’t hold back, ignoring my instinct of self-preservation, and ran to her. The amazing thing was that my body was really small... I fell into my mother’s arms... it was so warm and pleasant... I haven’t felt this for a long time... I even forgot about all the problems I was having, enjoying the moment...
- So you got caught... - a hard and cold voice rang out in my head. I opened my eyes in surprise, already realizing that something was wrong. Moving away from the woman who looked like my mother, I suddenly realized that it wasn’t her... She was smiling at me... nooooooooooooooooooo... she grinned like a wild animal... as if she were a predator and I was... damn... am I prey?!
- Now your body belongs to me! - declared the entity, no longer hiding its true face... it was a demon that I had not seen before... my mother’s eyes turned red, and two black horns grew on her head... Only now I noticed a kunai sticking out of my chest... a wave of pain went through my body... I involuntarily fell to my knees, trying to breathe in as much oxygen as possible, but a lump formed in my throat... it was blood, which the next moment I spat out on the floor...
Meanwhile in the real world...
Michiko was almost completely covered in a black substance. The arms, legs, torso and even the neck were completely black... only one half of the face had a normal appearance, while the other half of the face was completely gray, only turning black in places. It was from the gray side of the face that the hero’s eye opened, which was absolutely red, telling everyone that it was no longer Michiko, but someone or something else...
- Captain, I see land! We're almost there! - a male voice shouted on the deck.
- Be careful near the shore. There is a reef area there. – another male voice was heard.
- Food... meat... eat... - Michiko said in an ominous voice, rising from his seat and starting to move.
- Hey, who are you? - spoke the sailor adjusting the sail. - I do not know you. You are not a member of the crew, and we have no passengers this time. – he added, starting to move towards the strange person who was staggering towards him.
- You are my food...- the demon said in a frightening voice.
- What? – the sailor clarified with incomprehension, stopping at the same time. - AAAA! – he shouted, not expecting a sharp attack from the unknown. The demon in the body of the main character grabbed the poor man's throat, starting to pump blood out of him.
- Toruna, what's going on? – a voice was heard from around the corner, after which another man appeared from there. - Damn it! – he screamed, seeing a frightening picture for himself. He involuntarily stepped back, but the monster moved towards him... he didn’t even have time to scream before he was killed...
The ship crashed on the reefs... The Uzumaki hurried to the site of the shipwreck, but they found nothing... The demon, having put on a hood and mask, moved towards the gathering place of all the kage... Only he knows how he managed to find out about the exact location of this event ... Within a few minutes, he was breaking through the crowd of Uzumaki ninjas... The red-haired devils were famous for their strength and sealing techniques, but even they were unable to hold off the demon for long, because the strongest ninjas among all five Great Shinobi Villages were now in the same hall as the kage .
- But I’m against it! – the demon declared, breaking down the door. He didn't hear the question that was asked to all the kages, but he didn't like the fact that everyone agreed... - That's why we'll all die here! – he added, starting to grin, revealing a row of sharp fangs.
- Who the fuck are you?! – the Raikage roared, taking off from his spot.
- How dare you threaten the five kage?! – Gengetsu, who did not like the behavior of the unknown person, inserted his five cents.
- Stop. – Tobirama demanded coldly, observing everything that was happening. The Mizukage and Raikage, who were ready to use their ninjutsu, froze in surprise.
- Why are you protecting this... demon, Hokage-sama? – the Kazekage decided to clarify, without changing his face.
- This man was once my friend and comrade. I don't know what's happening to him, but we should neutralize him so we can interrogate him before we make a verdict. – the albino explained uncertainly, continuing to peer into Michiko’s distraught face.
- This is Michiko Yuki, isn't it? – nevertheless, Muu clarified, who also recognized the man opposite as his sworn enemy.
- Michiko Yuki is a blue-haired devil. Somehow his hair is not blue at all, although he really looks like the devil. – muttered a dissatisfied Hozuki. He was interrupted, and he always liked to take his actions to their logical conclusion. – Is this really a side effect of that technique? He just doesn't control himself. – he added already in his thoughts, frowning.
- You all... are so pathetic... I hate weak people... so get down on your knee before the embodiment of death! – the demon cackled at the top of his voice, releasing a dense black haze from his body, which spread throughout the hall with incredible speed. The most surprising thing was that Ashina seemed to know something, so he was silent, not yet interfering in the kage’s skirmish. He looked at his best student in surprise, realizing that someone or something had taken control of his body.
- Seal technique, absorption seal! – shouted the head of the Uzumaki clan. He was the very first to react, because his instincts were better developed than those of other ninjas. At the sight of the black fog, his heart sank with fear... and this is his heart... the heart of the unsurpassed warrior of the Uzumaki clan... Writings began to appear right in the air, capable of sealing almost any ninjutsu in this world. He was amazed that his seal had no effect on the fog that was caused by the demon who was in the body of the main character. The man tried to jump away, but he simply did not have enough time. His body was already beginning to fail him, and his movements, although smooth and precise, were of relatively low speed. Upon contact with the strange mist, Ashina immediately lost consciousness. The second kazekage summoned a puppet, trying to hide in it, but this did not save him... The fog was able to easily seep through the loose plexus of wooden parts, causing the head of Sand to lose consciousness.
- Element of dust, atomic fission technique! – Muu screamed, flying up from his chair. He noticed that the black fog was quite heavy in nature, due to which it could not rise to the ceiling. The Tsuchikage tried to take advantage of this. The particle element was able to clear a small area of fog, but Muu could not use such a technique at full power, fearing for the lives of his subordinates. He, as the first owner of this genome, perfectly understood the danger of the power that he used. In fact, the Tsuchikage tried to kill the unknown person with his attack, but the demon in the guise of Michiko simply disappeared from his place. - So fast?! – Muu thought in surprise, feeling a movement behind his back. Only thanks to his experience did he manage to block the enemy's blow. He flew back to the Raikage and the Hokage. Gengetsu had already disappeared, turning into a water clone. The master water technician had cleverly hidden his water clone among his subordinates in order to use the replacement technique on him. It was his excessive caution. The Tsuchikage removed the bandages from his arm, discovering that it had begun to turn black. He managed to suppress this effect with the help of his expanded genome, but even so he felt that he would not be able to completely get rid of this infection in his body without outside help. - Don't let him touch you! His body contains a strange poison! One touch and you have one foot in the grave! – Muu warned the rest of the ninjas.
- Tsuchikage-sama, are you okay? – Ōnoki, who appeared next to his leader, clarified with respect in his voice. He looked at the Tsuchikage's hand with a worried look. Meanwhile, his subordinates appeared next to each kage. Two dark-skinned ninjas appeared next to the Raikage. One of them had strange tattoos on his shoulders. Hiruzen and Danzo approached the Hokage. Duo of ninjutsu masters - this is the name given to the team consisting of these two ninjas. In addition to Ōnoki, another ninja approached Muu, representing a real mountain of muscles. Not far from them were two more ninjas with Sand Village protectors on their foreheads. Boy and girl. The latter, with skillful finger movements, connected with the puppet of the second kazekage, thanks to which she managed to pull the head of Sand out of the black fog, which stopped spreading, beginning to gain concentration. At this time, two more ninjas ran into the hall. One ninja was female. It was Yumiko, who was looking at the black fog with disbelieving eyes. The second was Izao, who carefully examined everyone, trying to assess the situation.
- How tired of you you are! – the demon growled. At the same moment, all the fog literally exploded in all directions, absorbing the entire space of the hall.
- Mi-kun, stop... I beg you, cough-cough... - Yuki begged, choking from the fog.
- There is no Mi-kun here anymore. This body was occupied by me, Satori, the demon of fear. So fear me, little people! – the demon shouted loudly, raising his hands up.
- Michiko, I don’t know whether you can hear me or not, but I ask you, fight... cough, cough... fight to the very end! – the princess of the Yuki clan shouted in response, falling onto the cold floor and losing consciousness. The rest of the kage had already lost consciousness by this time.
Meanwhile, in the subconscious of the main character...
-... fight... cough-cough... fight to the very end! – a familiar female voice was heard throughout the subconscious.
- Yumi? What did you do to her?! – I shouted in anger.
- Like what? Of course he killed. – the demon in the form of my mother said coldly, continuing to grin at me in response. I have never been so angry with myself as I am now... I was filled with the most rotten emotions, and the chakra... it had been suppressed until that moment, but now it rushed towards my eyes in a raging stream.
- You will pay me for this! – I said in a quiet voice, but there was something in these words that even the demon himself recoiled from me. I gained strength, starting to rise from my knees.
- What?! You're afraid of me! How can you move then?! – the demon exclaimed in horror, looking at my actions. I pulled out the kunai that he stuck in me. It was not an ordinary shinobi weapon, but a magical one, so right in my hands it turned into black mist. I felt my eyes calling for more chakra. I didn't know why, but I trusted my instincts at that moment, opening my storage seal and channeling all available chakra into it.
- We, people, are ready to do the most desperate things when the lives of our loved ones are in danger. – I answered with an undisguised thirst for murder in my voice. It took more than ninety percent of the seal for my eyes to stop demanding transformation... that's when I felt it... the limitless power that I released without hesitation. I was covered with a blue blanket of chakra, which was so dense that the demon opposite was pinned to the floor.
- Who the hell are you?! – the demon shouted, not understanding what went wrong at that moment.
I began to feel that I could use a technique unknown to me. I don’t know whose hand guided me at this moment in time, but I am very grateful to him. I condensed my chakra to the limit, after which I separated it from my new cover. This was a completely black ball that obeyed my will well. The name of the technique just popped into my head.
- Explosion of the Golden Wheel of Reincarnation! – I said the name of the technique when the ball, which began to spin around my hand, reached a certain critical speed of rotation. A golden ray of light shot out from my hand and sealed the demon.
- Bastard! I'll kill you! Aaaaaaarrrrrrr! I'll kill you! Aaarrrrrrrrr! – the voice of the demon Satori was heard. I poured a huge amount of chakra into this technique. I don't know how long I tried to cut it, but at some point I realized that I couldn't kill this creature, so I stopped my ninjutsu when the monster became very weak. Then I appeared in the real world. The picture I saw scared me.
- Yumiko! – I screamed, running up to her, however, seeing that the infection of the body had stopped, I calmed down a little. She is alive. This is good. Quickly examining everyone else present, I realized that the demon inside me had managed to do something that I was better off not knowing... Now it was important to save everyone... How can I neutralize this poison if I cannot kill this demon? Hmm... the question is not the simplest... Looking at the chest, and then at Ashina, it dawned on me! Seal... I can seal this demon... then its abilities in the real world will be practically harmless. Running to the chest, I began to draw a circle with my own blood. I didn’t have any ink on hand, so I had to spend my life force on the seal; besides, I seriously doubted that ordinary seals would be able to hold the demon. When I finished with the fuin symbols, I started making hand seals for the technique...
- Fuinjutsu technique, blood seal of the five elements! – I said the name of the seal, after which my fingers on my right hand lit up bright red. I began to transfer the energy of the demon Satori into the chest in front of me. The demon tried to resist in every possible way, but he failed to do anything. He was too weak from my ninjutsu. When all the demon's power was locked in the chest, I sealed it by striking the chest's lock with my fingers burning bright red. After that, I was no longer able to hold back the fatigue that rolled in. I spent the remaining strength turning around and discovering that Yumi had woken up...
