Arc five. First Shinobi World War. Chapter 5. Sabotage in the enemy camp.

Settings
I and my squad reached the border with the country of Grass. What can I say? The border was again conditional. We had to stop a little earlier, not reaching the border about five hundred meters. I decided that I needed to set up camp before the bamboo forest. Still, it would be more correct.       - Kagami! – I shouted in a commanding tone, turning into the void. Yes, yes, it was Kagami Uchiha who was appointed as my deputy on this front. The young, confident young man was simply the standard for any ninja. Calm and cold in an emergency, but at the same time smiling and kind in peacetime. These changes were simply amazing for me. I even started to think that this guy has a split personality. Although thinking about this Uchiha was a sinful waste of my brain activity. It was necessary to put into action the outlines of the plan that I had drawn up on the road. There was no doubt. This front will have to be held by a thread to win the war. A direct clash of even five thousand ninjas against three could end in any way, because most likely there are simply more highly qualified ninjas on the enemy side. I'm talking about jounins, of course. However, I had a few tricks up my sleeve. I'll definitely have to get a couple of them on this front.       - I'm here, Mr. Commander-in-Chief! – reported Kagami, who came running to my call within a minute.       - Set up camp. Ensure discipline in the ranks of our troops. – I commanded, even despite my companion.       - But what about you, Michiko-san? Are you going somewhere? - The Uchiha blurted out, perplexed. His eyes widened first at my order, and then at the realization that came after understanding the order.       - I'll scout out the situation. We need to get to know the area better. – I answered him in a calm tone, as if this was generally normal behavior for a ninja of my level.       - But, sir, can you send a reconnaissance detachment for this work? – the head of the Uchiha clan continued to question me. By the way, most of the jounin on my front were from this clan. As I understand it, my subordinate would not get rid of me until he learned all the information from me. He is still too inexperienced to understand the complexity of our front. Although, what can we say about Kagami... I myself have not yet led anyone into battle with me... It’s also difficult for me to judge very precisely the problems of our situation.       - Deputy, we are in a difficult situation. The enemy troops outnumber us, and they also have more jounin in their ranks. I can't lose a single ninja before the serious battles begin. Now any resource will not be superfluous. Our task is not to win the front, but only to hold it. I hope that now you will not ask such stupid and ridiculous questions. – I clarified the situation for my deputy. Kagami turned pale at my words, then nodded as a sign that he understood everything. I think that this guy really understood everything, otherwise it will be difficult, although he seems to be smart... the genius of the Uchiha clan... however, all these are just words, the opinion of people in peacetime... in war he can die in the first serious battle. Such is the severity of war. This is probably why I don’t fully understand why Tobirama sent his students to war. They are still young. They are all fourteen years old. Six geniuses of their generation, but how many of them will survive until the end of the war safe and sound? Although the Hokage's despair is understandable. He's just trying to take advantage of every opportunity not to lose... not even like that... he's trying to do everything so that Konoha survives the war. Victory is not so important... what is important is preserving the legacy of the first hokage. Understanding this gives people new strength to all ninjas of Konoha, but not to me... I am not a ninja of this village... my goals are much more global - I want to prevent all subsequent wars. This is very difficult, so I do not stop in my development, trying to improve myself almost all my free time. Yes, I maintain correspondence with Yumiko, who writes to me regularly once a week. Sometimes a little more often, sometimes a little less. She is, after all, the head of the hospital in Fog. It’s quite difficult for her, especially lately. These letters just remind me every time of what I am fighting for. I also know exactly where my home is now... this is not the village of Mist, which I co-founded... No, this is not even Konoha... this is the place where Yumiko is. Surprisingly, in her letters, my fiancée did not show the least bit of aggression about our separation. She was a kind and sweet girl who was waiting for me in a safe place. Eh, I need to think about the good, but now I’m already moving through enemy territory. You need to gather your thoughts and focus on your sensory skills in order to find the enemy army, since finding a huge accumulation of chakra is not very difficult. I moved quite quickly. My scanning waves, to which I had long been accustomed, allowed me to scan the terrain at all three hundred and sixty degrees around me over a distance of more than three kilometers. Well, three kilometers was the zone where I would find the enemy with almost one hundred percent probability.       If the distance, for example, is five kilometers, then the chance of detecting the enemy has already been greatly reduced. It’s difficult to say exactly, but on average it was fifteen percent, but this is the case if we are talking about one ninja. And the probability may vary depending on the volume of shinobi chakra. The more it is, the easier it is to detect the enemy. That is why I felt a huge clot of chakra after just an hour of running. The distance to it was simply amazing... it was about fifteen kilometers. Theoretically, I could enter the absolute Sage mode and increase the radius of my sensory several times, but I did not know how far the enemy was from us, and I did not want to waste this mode. He was too important to me. Actually I was lucky. I found a good hill from which I could see the entire enemy camp.

“Flashback.”

      - Sage Art, White Fury Technique! – I said the name of the technique, releasing from my mouth a transparent red dragon holding a strange black sphere in its hands. The chakra creature, having flown ten meters, spun in place around the ball in its hand, after which there was a flash of light.       “You’re already doing pretty well, Mi-kun.” – a hissing voice from the side praised me. - Thank you, Delta. – taking a breath, I answered my mentor. The absolute Sage mode immediately fell off me. I was reeling from this. I experienced very unpleasant sensations at that moment. My whole body ached in pain and needed rest. I somehow moved around and went to the place where my equipment landed. I was very interested in what glittered in the hole that appeared from the explosion. In the pit I found a mineral with a black and white color. I was able to get it out of the ground, but not without the help of Delta. After conducting a series of studies, I was able to understand that this mineral contains silicon. Oh yeah, that gave me a little breakthrough. It was this substance that I needed to realize my idea from start to finish. Thanks to snake acid, I was able to isolate quartz sand, which helped me realize the first lens. It's a pity that there wasn't much of the mineral. Simple calculations and I managed to do two things. The first one was binoculars. This greatly simplified observation and location of the enemy at a great distance. Yes, I had to work hard, but the result was worth it. It was possible to improve vision with the help of chakra, but it is not as effective as it seems at first glance. A useful thing, of course. You will see objects at a distance of one hundred to two hundred meters in quite detail, but now I’m talking about a distance of kilometers. Tobirama told me that Hugo can see five kilometers, and their geniuses can cover a distance of up to ten, but this is all nonsense. In absolute Sage mode, I feel everything much further. The second thing I was able to create was an optical sight. Oh yeah, I heard a lot about the sheriff of my town in the last world. Caitlin Kiroman is a fairly well-known personality. She tried many times to shoot me, but failed every time. My armor worked well in those days. Even then I had the opportunity to modify her rifle, but I did not consider this action the least bit useful. It's a different matter now. My armor can easily withstand any B-rank technique without consequences. This is very good, but let's get back to the rifle. I assembled it in about three months. I have to admit that then I would have been filled with the desire to see its power, but it disappointed me so much then... Eh, Delta calmly dodged bullets without even straining, but I left the weapon. It would help me in some very extravagant situation. It's a pity that there were also a limited number of bullets.

“End of flashback.”

I took out the binoculars from the seal and began to assess the number of the enemy. It took me about half an hour to see the number of tents. There were about a hundred of them. There was another large tent, which was clearly intended for the enemy commander-in-chief. Something doesn't add up. A thousand tents. Their size is standard. This means that the enemy number cannot exceed seven thousand ninja. After all, seventy people can somehow fit in a tent. There will already be overflow. Where is the rest of the army? In reserve? Nooo, that's too much reserve. Someone clearly wants to play an unfair game with me. Okay, this changes all my plans. Intelligence is now critical. Perhaps we need to reduce the number of opponents. I reached the enemy camp at night. When I left my people, it was already getting dark.       Having unsealed the rifle and a small box for it, I lay down on the branch from which I had previously observed the enemy camp, after which I opened my suitcase. It contained three types of bullets, painted in different colors. The first row consisted of black bullets, which in fact turned out to be the most ordinary bullets. The second row consisted of red bullets. Their main feature was that I was able to put small explosive seals on them. Not a bad thing to hit a dozen enemies in a cluster at once. The third row... these were my personal masterpiece. For each of them they had to bow at the feet of the White Serpent. Eh... those were the times. What kind of bullets were these? They weren't explosive. The bullets were poisonous, but their poison was transparent and odorless. But the point was not to kill the enemy... the main thing was to kill a large number of enemies. This poison was unique in its nature and properties. It took the snakes a long time to create it. This poison caused severe hallucinations in any ninja who inhaled it. The shinobi was in such a state that he could not distinguish between ally and enemy. I have created biological weapons in very limited quantities. Five bullets... won’t be enough to destroy an entire army, but I can beat them up. Without a doubt, I put the first poison bullet into the rifle, aimed at the tent where I sensed the presence of several ninjas, and then fired...
