Chapter 5

Notes:
There are no hopeless situations.
If there is no way out, and the light has gone out around you, then sit and wait what happens next.
I think to gradually change my style of narration and add more details. And also it's time to add more dialogue between the characters.
Gregory sat on the floor, leaning against the wall.
In front of him was a crazy woman in a rabbit costume, who was openly mocking the boy.
She was also very amused by the situation with the bear: she said that when Freddy missed the boy in the kitchen, he thought that he had scared Gregory too much by how he broke Chika with the press, and that then he was looking for a way to calm the child.
And that now Freddy sings to the whole Megapizzaplex into his microphone so that Gregory can hear him from everywhere and calm down, and after that the bear will find him and catch him.
The rabbit just laughed.
She was amused by the behavior of the stupid bear.
Gregory himself was horrified: he was frightened by a rabbit who openly twirled a knife in front of him, and he was also frightened by the thought of Freddie, who was looking for him all over the pizzeria with unknown goals.
Gregory mentally pleaded for salvation.
He had nothing with him that would help him against the rabbit.
The mentioned rabbit finally decided to transgress to fulfill her retribution on the boy.
Slowly and fervently, she began to approach the child.
Gregory closed his eyes in fear, bracing himself for the pain.
Suddenly, overhead, the boy heard a strange clanging sound: it was coming from the ventilation, and apparently approaching.
Suddenly, the ventilation grille flew off to the side with a noise, miraculously not hitting Gregory.
From the ventilation, all broken, but still alive, Monty jumped out, and crashed to the floor.
Or rather, what is left of it.
From Monty was only the upper half of the body, from which stretched a bunch of long wires, he had no shell on his hands, and his lower jaw was shifted to the side.
Monty looked around at those present and fixed his gaze on Gregory: the alligator growled in the gut.
Gregory was about to be attacked by the evil reptile, when suddenly Monty turned to the rabbit and furiously grabbed her legs with his bare claws.
The rabbit began to fight with the animatronic, screaming in pain along the way.
During the fight, the maniac's knife jumped out and flew off to the side.
Gregory realized this was his chance to escape.
He quickly set to work: he dragged several empty boxes that were nearby in the room, building a staircase from them to the ventilation, and then he ran up and grabbed a knife from the ground to deprive the rabbit of his weapon.
Gregory was about to leave the room when suddenly a rabbit grabbed him by the shirt, preventing the boy from escaping.
Gregory had to dodge with force and fall out of his shirt, leaving it in the hands of the maniac, and run through the boxes himself and hide in the ventilation.
Gregory crawled as fast as he could, trying to ignore his hand and the way the cold surfaces of the ventilation touched his bare skin.
As he crawled, he heard strange sounds behind him, coming from the room he had just left.
It was like a word, but it’s not at all clear whose.
But suddenly, through the ventilation, and, probably, throughout the shopping center, a terrifying roar of a wild beast was heard, accompanied by interference, groans, and howls.
Gregory plugged his ears in panic, but even so, over the echo in the ventilation, he could hear the growl.
He hurried to get out of the mine before blood began to flow from his ears.
With difficulty overcoming this path, simultaneously closing his ears, he was able to get out of the ventilation.
He was in some new zone.
Everywhere there were various fences, repair equipment, as well as various paraphernalia associated with cars and races.
Before Gregory had time to really look around, the lights suddenly went out.
It got so dark, and, terribly, Gregory's flashlight ran out of power.
The boy was alone in complete darkness, in shorts, a T-shirt and no shirt.
The boy began to overcome the fear of the dark.
He blindly groped for the nearest wall, sat down on the floor and curled up into a small ball.
He was scared.
Gregory began to cry softly.
He didn't know what to do.
He could only wait for what would happen next.
Meanwhile, at the other end of the mall, the kindergarten teacher was slowly losing his mind.
Sundrop nervously walked around the playing area: he could not sit still - a lot of energy had accumulated in him, and he was trying to somehow get rid of it.
Along the way, looking around, Sun laid out toys and pieces of furniture in the corners: it always seemed to him that they were not lying correctly, and he was obliged to clean them up.
Sundrop even checked his supplies of glue and other craft supplies three times: it seemed to him that they might be needed at any moment, and they should be at hand - he even put a few bottles of glue and a jar of doll eyes just in case in his pockets to make sure he always has them.
The teacher tried to pretend that he was doing his job in kindergarten, but in fact, all his running around and nervousness were caused by concern for Gregory.
He sent the boy alone to look for a way out of the mall, and after that, Sun did not receive any news about whether the boy managed to leave the pizzeria.
Is the child okay?
Is everything okay with him?
Sundrop did not know this.
And when his panic reached such a level that Sun was ready to tie himself in a knot, just to calm down a little, loud singing began to spread through the mall.
The teacher froze abruptly: he knew that voice.
That's exactly what Freddy sang.
The bear hummed a lullaby over the loudspeakers that reverberated throughout the building.
It had a good calming effect on Sandrop: after all, if the main soloist of this building, and the kindest animatronic in the entire pizzaplex, sang a lullaby, then there was nothing to worry about.
Everything was fine with the boy.
The caregiver gradually stopped his obsession with cleaning, finally deciding to just rest and return to his room.
He was just heading to his balcony, under the bewitching sounds from the bear, however, as soon as he was in his own room, the song stopped abruptly.
Sundrop froze again and fell silent: he listened to what would happen next.
And then it got worse: a terrifying sound resounded throughout the building, similar to the growl of some monster from fairy tales, which Sun usually reads to children.
Who could make such sounds, what is the reason?
Has something happened to Gregory?
What if the boy is now hiding somewhere and waiting for him?
Does he need his help?
Without wasting another minute, Sundrop jumps off with a run into a pit with balls, and in a second he finds himself near the hill and climbs it to the very top as quickly as possible.
Like an arrow, Sundrop flies out of the kindergarten and runs as fast as he can towards the main entrance.
He doesn't care that he doesn't have to leave kindergarten.
He doesn't care that he doesn't know the way.
He doesn't even care about HIM.
Now the main thing for him is to get to the elevator and get into the main building.
He shouldn't have let the boy go alone.
Now a small child may be in danger, and all because of him.
Sun is obliged to find him: he must take care of him and save him from harm.
Sundrop runs into the elevator and nervously waits for it to take him to the entrance to the Atrium, and then he will immediately run to help the boy.
And so, when the elevator bell rang and the doors finally opened, Sundrop jumped out of the cab with lightning speed and ran, paying attention to the darkness around him quite late.
The Atrium still had problems with the light, and in some places it did not burn at all, which is why the animatronic, which needs light to work, was in complete darkness.
The elevator doors closed sadly under the painful cry of the teacher, who, wanting to get to the boy as quickly as possible, ran away from the elevator so much that he did not have time to return from the darkness to the saving light.
And soon everything was quiet.
