The Criminal Diaries: Chapter 41. The Fear That Becomes Reality

Hello, my sweet estrellitas! The things probably seemed excessively cruel to you in the previous chapter of "The Criminal Diaries". But let's not talk about the fight. Let's talk about the consequences in Chapter 41. The consequences of what made the lead male character lose his mind. The co-lead characters can finally exhale with relief because they gave their best to achieve their goal and arrange a meeting between this man and his girlfriend, who did not die, as we know. Even if they almost did something unforgivable to make it happen. But in the end, our lovebirds are finally reunited and standing face to face. The girl is happy to see him, but she is full of doubt because of everything she has learned. And the man just stands there, dumbfounded as f... hell (!), beaten up, with tear-filled eyes, with no understanding of what is happening. Well… He understands one thing. That he’s an idiot. A brainless idiot who could have avoided all this madness if he had used his head mu-u-u-uch earlier. And now, he has a difficult task ahead of him. I mean, two. To convince his beloved not to leave him, because she is seriously starting to believe that their meeting was a mistake. And explain himself to the men, who are determined to keep their promise and cut all ties with him. In short, the man ran into what he had feared the most – loneliness. The moment when he loses everything and everyone. When people get tired of this dude’s demons. No amount of pleading, tears, breakdowns, or excuses will help him anymore. And he has no idea how he is supposed to clean up this mess.
I think now you understand why I said that the lead character will outdo all the previous ones who may seem innocent angels in my post with facts about this book. I came up with this twist during the process of working on "The Criminal Diaries", back when I didn’t know what this story would become, where it would lead, or how it would affect the characters… And to be honest, it lately feels like my characters themselves are guiding me and hinting at which direction I should take next. As if they’re telling me that one path wouldn’t feel right, but another would work much better. Well... My original plan for this story was completely different and eventually turned into something far more emotionally and psychologically intense. The lead character of "The Criminal Diaries" simply refused to be normal. He decided it was better for him to be this way. Some characters choose to be strong, but he did not have the strength or the desire for that.
Thank you for your attention! Have a nice day!
Love, Estrella Rose.
