The Criminal Diaries: Chapter 39. Risk That Leads To The Consequences

Hello, my sweet estrellitas! We're already on Chapter 39 of "The Criminal Diaries". And believe me, the level of tension is higher than ever this time. I would even say that it's almost at the peak. The co-lead characters did not want it until the very end, but they are forced to get into a brutal, bloody fight with the lead character. Yes, they had a chance to avoid it. But these guys choose to risk everything and put themselves in mortal danger at their will. Not to bring their friend back. But to prove the truth and keep their promise. To do one last thing for someone who makes them regret getting in touch with him. This fight is probably the hardest one, much harder than any confrontation with antagonists throughout the entire story of the "Stronger Together" book series. First of all, because they are not fighting just a random man. They do fight someone they considered close. Someone who is no longer going to show mercy and stands just one step away from a complete transformation into a ruthless, heartless creature that is ready to become another bloodthirsty criminal. No mercy. No regrets. No memories of all the good things they have ever shared. Words can no longer prove anything. They all have to use punches and remember every fighting technique they know.
To be honest, when I was just working on the concept of this book, I never thought that the lead character would end up suffering from madness like this. Initially, I wanted him just to withdraw into himself for a while, then learn about the girl’s miraculous survival and return to his friends as if nothing had happened. But the longer the work went on, the more insane ideas came to my mind. And this fight scene was never supposed to be like this. It was actually not supposed to exist at all. The idea was that the co-lead characters would chase him around the city after running into him accidentally, convince him not to harm himself at all, ask him to stay, and then finally bring his beloved girl to him. And even though the final version turned out to be long enough, I still really love it. I think this battle fits in surprisingly organically within the current concept of the story.
Thank you for your attention! Have a nice day!
Love, Estrella Rose.
