As summer fades and the first signs of autumn appear, it’s time to gather inspiration for a new challenge: Harvest of September. Each day this month brings a fresh prompt inspired by fruits, fields, and the season of abundance. Whether you’re drawn to the temptation of an apple, the celebration of grapes, or the mystery of guava, there’s a prompt waiting to be picked. Sharpen your pencils, open your docs, and join us in reaping a month full of creativity!

  • Every month we publish a list of prompts that you can use for inspiration and as a useful writer’s exercise.


    At the end of the challenge we will randomly pick 3 lucky authors who will get prizes!

    Note: one person can get only one prize, so everyone has a chance to win.

    The conditions of the challenge are following:

    – Each work should contain a minimum of 300 words;

    – Each work must be a new one, (i.e., not published on FicFan previously);

    – Each work of this challenge must have a tag Monthly prompts;

    – Write the prompts you are using in the notes to the work, so we could check it up;

    – You may post works based on prompts during the whole month;

    – The challenge finishes with the beginning of the next month!
