Bloom never thought that going out into the 'field' with her teacher in the forest, she would meet a fighting girl in shorts, a top, and high boots, all in orange colors. Bloom did not suffer from altruism, just as Alucard did not suffer from it. 'If you save her, I will personally evict you to the barracks, ' the vampire threatened through gritted teeth. He was quite capable of doing it. Even Integra wouldn’t help. But reflexes did not fail when some strange red monsters attacked the observers. The girl in orange had to be dragged to the mansion. --- 'I’m a fairy? ' Bloom prided herself on her imagination. 'Fairies? I thought they all died out about five hundred years ago, ' Nosferatu mused, standing behind the couch in the head of the organization’s office. Integra rubbed her eyes. Everything was very stressful. She wanted to smoke. Bloom snorted. She believed in magic, but as part of the job. She did not believe in fairies. Although about ten years ago, she really would have asked Alucard to lift her up in his arms and pretend she was flying. But now… --- 'And you, Miss? ' Griselda asked strictly at the entrance to the pink palace. 'Bloom…' after thinking a little, she added, 'Bloom Hellsing. I’m from Earth.' 'Miss Stella, escort our guest to the Headmistress’s office. I hope you remember the way there.' --- 'So what are we supposed to do now? ' Musa drawled sadly. She was very upset that they missed the concert in Magix because they were kept to clean the school. 'As my teacher would say: “What difference does it make what you do if it’s not fun?” Even if his words are about slacking off at work.' When the monster arrived, the work livened up so much that by the end of the first ten minutes of hiding from it, Bloom had fired three times. The first shot in the air, the other two — in the head and the heart. Well, now Integra has two magnificent horns to make something out of. --- The Trix were shocked when, instead of spells, someone simply started shooting at them with a pistol. Not a single bullet reached them, true, but all the ice shields were torn to shreds by them. --- When Bloom once again went home to 'fix her moral health, ' the three witches attacked her again. The three wenches thought of nothing better than to hang Integra upside down and start squeezing her throat with magic. Bloom tried to surrender for her sister’s sake, but found herself frozen into a block of ice. Nothing could stop the enraged Alucard. The witches saved themselves only by managing to flee the estate in time. But the vampire driven to fury managed to maim them nonetheless. The wenches almost lost their limbs. Icy nearly parted with her heart. The witches swore never again to threaten the relatives of the red-haired fairy. Just in case, they might not be so lucky next time. 'Master! ' Victoria Seras trembled under Nosferatu’s gaze. Her direct duty was to protect the Lady of the estate, but the Draculina had been put out of action, plunged into sleep. 'Silence! ' Alucard thundered. Everyone in the room flinched and tried to become furniture. 'Alucard, ' Integra’s cold voice sobered everyone present. The vampire continued methodically freeing the second mistress of the estate from the block of ice. 'I hope this will not happen again, ' Integra said, lighting a cigar. Bloom moved her fingers. The ice cracked under the vampire’s methodical beating. The girl was swiftly taken and placed in a bathtub to warm up and come to her senses. 'I never thought you could be driven to this…' Integra mused, exhaling gray smoke towards the ceiling. The vampire refused further discussion. --- Well. Nothing was heard of the witches for a long time. A couple of months. While they rested and recovered in Light Rock. Layla turned out to be a surprisingly pleasant girl. Especially after Bloom, whose humor could kill even the witches from Cloud Tower. 'He was strong and terrible. He can transform into a Phoenix! ' the girl narrated in the Headmistress’s office. Bloom thought they had practically taken up residence there. 'Look familiar? ' Hellsing turned around the album where she was drawing a photo-portrait of the Phoenix. Staring at Layla from the sheet of paper was Enrico Maxwell with a centimeter-thin waist, in red armor, wearing an archbishop’s band, a cross on his chest, and a tattered priest’s cassock. Behind him in a cage were some little fairies, but they looked like bats. 'He’s kind of handsome… Are you acquainted with the prototype? ' Stella looked over her shoulder and complimented the drawing. 'If you part ways with yours, I’ll introduce you.' --- 'Tell me, please, ' Alucard was boiling with rage, 'Why the hell do I have to save you?! ' 'Well…' Bloom couldn’t find an answer to the teacher’s question. How could anyone find an answer to the fact that Nosferatu simply appeared in the middle of a fighting retreat with Darkar and scattered everyone? Well, almost everyone… The monsters, while the pursuing witches fled far away themselves. Only the Phoenix remained. 'Don’t mumble! ' the vampire growled. The entire group of would-be rescuers pulled their heads into their shoulders. Well… Faragonda would still have to explain herself not only to Integra but also to Alucard. --- 'We should have shot that birdie right then and there! ' Bloom, clinging to the vampire as her last hope, waited for his reaction. She was definitely just imagining the sound of someone grinding their teeth. 'Bloom, ' the vampire growled. Bloom had always wondered how he managed to do that when there wasn’t a single growling letter in her name. 'Say just one word, and I’ll ask Walter to put you under house arrest! ' 'No fair! ' Bloom was indignant. But then suddenly smiled. 'Integra won’t allow it! ' 'She will actually be at the front of the line for your confinement.' She had nothing to counter with. Alucard was right. In everything. --- 'So you started dating, he proposed to you, and then at the engagement party, he announced another? ' Integra was smoking. For the first time in her life, she was in solidarity with her basement monster on matters of murder. Seras could barely keep up with serving water to the sobbing Bloom. Walter, however, had foresightedly spiked this very water with a sedative. Bloom was already drinking her seventh glass. The dose was lethal. But the girl still hadn’t collapsed. 'Lady Bloom, ' the Draculina suddenly spoke up. Everyone present in the basement turned their attention to her. The main part of the mansion had not yet been put in order after the attack of the Valentine brothers. 'Why did you even believe him? ' Everyone in the room looked at Victoria as if she were an alien. For the first time, she had said something no one expected of her. 'I thought he was not like the others! ' and the girl burst into hysterical sobbing again. Alucard, who had returned from a series of missions about an hour ago, couldn’t stand it, barged into the 'comfort room, ' and simply knocked the girl out. To the angry gaze of the Draculina and the Mistress, he easily explained: 'One more portion will kill her, and this is the best option.' And he vanished through the wall. Integra’s anger at the servant passed rather quickly, because he was right. --- Bloom was not shy about using her custom-made pistol. Her two-kilogram pistol with a magazine was thirty centimeters long, just nine centimeters shorter than Alucard’s. It had a black color with a silver inscription running the entire length of the barrel. In the magazine were six-millimeter bullets made of silver with a core of consecrated mercury. Her personal weapon bore the tenderest name imaginable: 'Forget-me-not.' Well, it truly cannot be forgotten. Especially by those it is shot at and hits. Bloom received her 'Forget-me-not' after her last trip home. Valtor, however, was an interesting opponent. He did not hesitate to use something besides magic, finally turning the marshmallow world of the Magical Universe into something more plausible. His throwing knives alone were worth it, which Bloom barely had time to deflect with fired bullets. True, Valtor did manage to hit her with two or three small knives. But she also managed to wound the demon. Integra became interested in what kind of world this was where her sister studied. So, taking the basement monster with her and asking Stella — Bloom’s friend — to take her somewhere, she didn’t expect to end up in a skirmish between her sister and some man. 'Ho-o, ' Valtor drawled when he noticed the observers. 'A vampire and a human… That’s something new! ' Alucard had an equally strange reaction to the wizard. He rarely ever grabbed Integra and retreated with her to a safe distance. The girl in his arms did not react to the servant’s insolence, only frowned. 'I hope at least you will entertain me. Fighting little girls who know nothing about life can get boring…' the demon drawled, landing exactly where the vampire and his mistress had just been standing. Bloom fired and hit the arrogant demon squarely in the head. The Trix, by the way, who were fighting the Winx, exchanged glances and decided to flee far away. Half of Valtor’s head was blown off. But he remained standing. In the deathly silence, the crunch of his bones was too loud. The Winx gulped. They knew Bloom was a hunter, but they had never seen her actually kill someone before their eyes. Valtor shook the remainder of his head. Bright red drops flew off it, turning black in mid-air. Everyone present could watch as the demon’s head restored itself. First came the internal organs of the cranium, then the skull itself. Then everything else. The whole procedure took no more than five seconds. But it was horrifying for the fairies and the Specialists who had come to help. 'Ill-mannered brat, weren’t you taught that interrupting is impolite?! ' the man hissed. Almost no one could notice the elusive movement. Only the metal of a throwing knife gleamed in the sky. A roar rang out. The throwing blade was torn apart by the precise hit of an explosive bullet. 'Alucard, ' Integra could never forgive anyone who attacked her family, 'The target before your eyes, destroy it. This is an order! ' Night covered the forest too quickly. The moon turned blood red. The Winx couldn’t keep up with the battle between the vampire and the demon. Each of them had already 'died' several times. Bloom managed to get behind the demon and 'scatter' pollen onto him. Valtor disintegrated into ashes. Bloom slumped to the ground. --- The Three Ancient Witches did not impress her at all. Valtor was much scarier than three old women. The demon had been almost impossible to kill. He was impossibly strong. The witches were… Nothing special. And she had defeated them thanks to Daphne anyway. But… They didn’t seem like any kind of obstacle. Finding them had been harder. Even the illusion where Integra and Alucard were together in her office, with Mandragora standing behind them, did not impress Bloom. There were two simple reasons for that. And both bore the same name: 'Alucard.' The Princess of Domino was dressed up for the ball. Bloom actually objected, but she couldn’t resist. After all, this was the first social event of her 'native' planet. What a surprise it was for Bloom when she noticed among the honored guests Integra, Walter, Alucard, Seras, and even Captain Bernadotte. Integra curtly congratulated Bloom on the return of her family. 'I don’t even know them, and I only saved them to look them properly in the eye! ' Bloom waved her hand towards the King and Queen of Domino. 'Actually, when I found out I was adopted, I thought my parents had abandoned me. So this desire was a matter of principle. And now we can go home, to my beloved job! ' 'Bloom, ' Oritel approached the girl, 'As a princess, you will have to dance with someone at least once. This is your sacred duty! ' the king hissed like a venomous snake into the girl’s ear. 'Duty?! ' the girl was indignant, but also in a whisper. The king nodded affirmatively. 'With anyone at all, ' Oritel continued to press his point. Bloom’s eyes sparkled mischievously, and she walked over to the bored vampire. Alucard generally disliked such events. And when attending them with the Hellsing sisters, he tried to pretend to be furniture by the wall and not stand out in any way at all. 'Sir, would you be so kind as to grant me one dance? ' Bloom asked rather loudly, approaching the vampire who at that moment was diligently pretending to be a green bush of some unknown plant he was standing next to. The guests turned to look at the strange pair. Alucard looked questioningly at the Mistress; she shrugged slightly, but also nodded her head imperceptibly. Alucard graciously agreed to dance with his former student. They were a strange pair: a tall, broad-shouldered man in a red coat, an equally wide-brimmed hat, and round yellow sunglasses, firmly holding a small, fragile girl in a dark blue, almost black, dress. The dance of red and black would linger long in the thoughts of the guests. And Integra learned for the first time that the Count knew how to dance and had hidden this fact for ten years. The End.Chapter 1

Bloom could never understand why all the workers of the estate were afraid of her guardian. Integra, her elder sister, had been a partisan until Bloom turned ten — that was when the girl was first kidnapped during a walk.
Well, the little one admired the vampire’s ability to shoot.
'I am not going to train her, ' Alucard grumbled.
'That is an order, Servant! ' Integra shouted angrily.
There was nothing to be done. You can’t go against the Mistress.
